The washing tub spins while it drains. This puts a lot of load on the motor and transmission. The slight slip in the clutch acts like a mechanical limiter or fuse.
My question is did your lower agitator assembly pulled right up after removing the upper bolt that you showed or there is a trick to pull the lower agitator because mine is not coming out I would appreciate your help I have the same washer
There's bolts in the bottom as well that needs to be removed. Easier if machine is tilted on its side since it can fall right off after bolts are removed and it's kinda heavy. Be careful.
any advice for getting the lower agitator out? I removed the top auger but the lower agitator is stuck on the drive shaft. Is there another bolt to remove?
I can't believe they don't make these anymore. Those modern garbage wishing machines today doesn't even do the job of washing clothes like they should, and they don't last as long as these kenmore and whirlpool washer. Unbelievable.
There is no other way to replace the clutch without removing the agitator - You can even watch another video from repair clinic which shows the same steps being taken - ruclips.net/video/kpC3s92S1JU/видео.html
@@djab203 I'm not arguing... I'm TRYING to fix my washer. I don't understand The clutch isn't inside the drum where the agitator is.... it's beneath the drum. And it's doesn't come off. I removed the nut, the clip, and the white plastic piece. The agitator is still firmly attached to the inside of the drum. The video at 2:17 says the agitator comes right out after removing the parts I removed.

Fixing my bosses now thanks! That pin is a pain to put back in!!
Good luck. Totally is.

@@amiwiggins9620 oooch :( I hope you are ok. I try to use gloves as much as possible to prevent getting hurt, but it's hard.

The clutch does need to slip a little otherwise the motor will burn up or throw the breaker. I tried a heavier spring.
No part number in the description?

Mine seems to be missing the little clip and plastic part you removed after the agitator... would that stop it from working?
I would recommend having the missing clip.

Sorry, just saw this comment. Watch this video which has better instructions - ruclips.net/video/kpC3s92S1JU/видео.html
good effort >>>>> you really need a video operator for better visual
Hopefully in time I can afford to pay someone to help with the camera :(

Im so confused. Why remove the agitator? The clutch needs replacing, and it is under the washer? The agitator is inside the drum?

👍
Too much slip and the clothes come out wet. Too little slip and the motor burns up. It's a balancing act.
Please ask someone to hold your camera. Missed some key steps!!!!
Sadly it's expensive to pay someone just to hold the camera for me :( I was hoping to help someone with this video as I received many thanks already.
