This is exactly how my mom made our fritters thin and golden like these in the video. I only knew about the big puffy fritters when I bought them at the restaurants, and i didn't like them. These are the best!
Hi Jerene, tried both your fry dumpling and fritters and enjoyed both. Thanks for sharing and helping to make my breakfast tasty and enjoyable. Will be trying other recipes.
These frittaz look so good! Can't watch you on an empty stomach.😂 I grew up eating them like this, thin and crispy. But we usually only put the saltfish, scotch bonnet, thyme, scallion and seasoning in there. Depending on who makes it, the oil had garlic and/or pimento. I like your addition of peppers and onions. I know this was good! Thanks for sharing.❤
Love ur verbiage. Thanx for focusing on the point without the usual drawn out chit chat. Appreciate the suggested options and the tone of your voice. That tip about the wire rack vs paper towel to maintain crisp was priceless. The added music made it pleasant to watch. Great vlog I will definitely subscribe. Cheers
Yeh man you can do it. To get it thick just use a bit less water and don't SPREAD it out when you drop it in the pan so it can have that thickness/fluffiness she likes.
The fritters look yummy! 👌 😋 Thanks for sharing. A lickle piece a yaad! 🇯🇲

Delish additions!
The black pepper is a must??? It burns my stomach
I love it but you can leave it out and use white pepper or minced scotchbonnet
@@JerenesEats ok I'm just going to use sweet pepper, tomato and onion..
baking powder in fritters 😮??? thumb down for that
Thanks for watching 😄
Nice! 🇯🇲😋🤤🤤
Only like gaspe saltfish i dont use them boneless one there
Yup! Use what you love. That's what I do!
Well college life got better
I think you forgot to say how long to boil salt fish Initially
You may boil it for about 10 - 15 minutes. Then drain and taste for salt and boil again if necessary to remove more salt
@@JerenesEats OK, thank you.
Tell me about the music
Usually I just pick a song from RUclips Audio Library. Awesome selections
My fritters comes out hard, what am I doing wrong?
I await your reply
I'm not sure. Perhaps the batter was mixed too much or cooked for too long. It's hard to tell because I didn't see the steps you took
