The songs he is singing are back in the 60's where they used many of these dipthongs and slides, etc. He is covering them but often changing them to suit his own voice.
The vocal fry you mention is present in his speaking voice. I have to admit I really like the way he scoops up in tone. But yeah, it is a natural mode for him.
3:56 That’s what I’m here for. Tim has said that if they need a line above Austin singing high tenor, that he will cover it. Especially since Chance can cover the base part.
SO GOOD! Love that Tim's bringing back doo-wop 🥰 (He put out his "Pieces of Me" album during quarantine; now we know what a 5-octave range really sounds like❣️) And to think he might have gone into dentistry or teaching and we would've missed out on his musical genius 🤯 This is so unbelievably fabulous! I only wish this video didn't fade out before he hits that final high note! I really want to hear his incredible finale to this gorgeous arrangement! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Tim is so good and talented. The producer in the background is his good friend Chris Chatham and they are together in a song Tim wrote called So Long Dixie. (Heard them perform this live…beautiful with Home Free). Video is awesome. Btw, Tim makes an appearance in a group called the Bass Gang with Hooked on a Feeling. He goes both high and low. It’s great also. And Chance just wrote a new song for the game called Skull & Bones which is great. Tim goes really low on that. Great reaction Daniel. Congrats on HS graduation!😄
Tims rand is CRAZY. He can sing so high but rattle the floor and blow systems with his low notes yes there are videos of him doing it several times now.
Congrats on your accomplishment and graduation 🎉❤😊 love to see more of you soon! Yea, we all were shocked too!! Go Tim Go GREAT reaction Daniel, and hope you'll do many more of Tim's solo stuff over the summer!
What a great reaction to the switch in registers. It's sort of mindblowing to hear his entire range in one chord. Congrats on your graduation! Waiting for you reaction to Home Free's Stargazer Trilogy.
Amazing isn’t he? He love Doo wop and has such incredible range Home Free just released Skull And Bones original written by Chance for a video game being released by Ubisoft of the same title in August
Welcome back -- missed you. Congrats on graduation -- college is going to be a great new adventure for you! Of course, who doesn't love a 5 octave song by one person? Love your comments and reactions to an amazing vocal artist. Tim and Home Free are stupendous!
You spoke a bit about Tim's use of dip thongs, This is one reason I love home free. When they do a cover they find ways to show homage to the original versions, Frankie Valley sang with those same dip thongs.
This is such a fun video of Tim's to see, and you give a truly excellent reaction and instruction for those of us who are blessed to see you create these! Thanks so much - I learned a lot 😃! P.S. Good luck as you head to college sir!
Tim has a 5+ octave range (if you haven't seen his original "Snow Globe" - he does it again). He has a song with the Bass Gang "Can't Stop the Feeling" that is fantastic, as is his duet of "Greensleeves" with Peter Hollens (on Hollens channel). If you haven't seen Home Free's "Stargazer Trilogy" Tim sings most of Chapter I "Give Me a Sign" - the trilogy (written by Austin) is simply terrific. The band is fortunate in having 3 song writers (Tim, Austin & Chance).
That was an excellent reaction. I'm assuming that while you are in college, you are going to get a multitude of chances to be doing your own vocal work. I was just watching the "shorts" on your channel. Well done!
Yes, Time has a tenor voice, too. Search for Tim Foust Birthday for "Little Red Rinin' Hood" it was the firrst time we heard him go this high notes. Also does "In MY Room" from the Beach Boys.
His entire album is incredible! He has videos on RUclips for three other songs from that album: Come Go With Me; In My Room; and Since I Don't Have You.
Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.
By the way... Tim's 42nd birthday is July 18...since 2016 he's held a birthday bash...if you can get linked in..fans..friends..music..and mischief..😁...🌿🌿🌿
Daniel, good reaction. Home Free's put out a fun new song that will blow your headphones off with bass, and it's not just Tim, Chance jumps in on the bass too. The song stays in your head all day, It's called "Skull And Bones." ☠ I think they're trying to pitch it to Ubisoft for the game. I hope to see you soon.👍
Congratulations On graduating I had no idea You were so young. I sincerely hope That you're going to major in music. I know several people Who have a degree in Music That Don't have Half Of Knowledge you do. Another song You should check out Is Tim Singing With the bass gang. It's Hilarious
I love how Chris can't stand still, but if you can be still during this song, you might want to check your pulse. He has a couple other one-man videos from the same album that you will enjoy.
Hi, new subscriber who really enjoys your reactions (thought I was aleeady subbed). Have you ever watched Jared Halley? He does every part himself and his videoes show the recordings of him singing each part all at once with wonderful editing. May God bless you and keep you safe as you start your life journey. Homefry mom of a 17 year old son who plans to go to college after graduation next year.
The songs he is singing are back in the 60's where they used many of these dipthongs and slides, etc. He is covering them but often changing them to suit his own voice.
Tim has a very wide range. He does it because he can. Enjoy.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 *Tim's vocal range is insane!!!* 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 *Enjoyed your reaction and commentary* 😊😊😊😊😊😊
There's a very short list of singers with five plus octave range and Tim is solidly there. He is truly awesome.
Oh I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!!!! 😄
It should be fun.
Yup. Tim surprised him😂
human voice is the best.
6 octaves baby!
The vocal fry you mention is present in his speaking voice. I have to admit I really like the way he scoops up in tone. But yeah, it is a natural mode for him.

I saw the Bass Gang video with Tim! That was absolutely amazing!
love 50's acapella.

Heavy Metal vocal fry is used even more
Thanks Daniel! Congrats on graduating. 🖤🍟

This is doo wop. He has an album “pieces of me” with the old songs I grew up hearing
Now you KNOW what a range of A0-A5 sounds like.

Watch the live version of Skull and Bones it's the best one!!! The bass is killer!!!
You are the best! 😂
Make me smile. Do more Home Free and/or Tim Foust, please.
Vocal gymnastics 😂😂😂😂😂.
👍😎✌🏻
You need to check out Peter Hollens and Tim Foust - Misty Mountains. Listen til the end to discover how low Tim can go.
If you do the recent Home Free releases, be sure to do the Stargazer Trilogy in order: Give Me a Sign; Stargazer Lilies; MR
Got to checkout his collaboration with Bass Gang on Hooked on a Feeling. So good.
Agreed. I have already seen it and it’s amazing!!
Congratulations On graduating I had no idea You were so young. I sincerely hope That you're going to major in music. I know several people Who have a degree in Music That Don't have Half Of Knowledge you do.

I have heard of Jared Halley and very much enjoy his videos. Thank you for following 😊
He's got a 5 octave range
He is singing all the parts

The dipthongs Tim is doing are in the original song.
DON'T GO TO COLLEGE IF YOU HAVE TO BORROW ANY MONEY TO DO SO!!!
Voice arobics (spelling)
Just can’t play the song. Can you?
