Metallic Madness - JP vs US Mashup

- Several years ago, a user called Dill Tasker did some pretty cool mashups of the Japanese and US soundtracks for the Sonic CD zones Tidal Tempest and Wacky Workbench. Come to find out he had uploaded an introductory draft for a Metallic Madness mashup. That inspired me, all these years after the fact, to create my own mashup for Metallic Madness. I hope you all enjoy what I've put together.
This mashup uses tracks from the 2011 release of Sonic CD, the unused transition music from the Sonic CD beta, and tracks from the Sonic the Hedgehog: BOOM soundtrack, and was composed in Mixcraft 8. Ripped sprites for the thumbnails were taken from The Spriters Resource.

Hearing the US and JP tracks mashed up like this really feels like taking the mask off these levels and seeing them for what they *really* are.
The legendary crossover nobody asked for, but everybody wanted.

I like how the JP soundtrack is the main lead, while the US track is backing it up!
The past theme for this is downright epic, captures the emotion of both soundtracks' Metallic Madness excellently and feels very climactic while searching for the last Generator.
Actually tbh all of these are like..epic as hell, the climactic energy of both results in something awesome I'll say that much.

You know what? Jun Senoue should take this track to a whole another level in the foreseeable future if Metal Sonic takes on Sonic again!
Yes! all the Yes! Just everything about this screams yes! The SNCBNK Loops! The pitch shifting! The loops! God yes!
Though a few missed opportunities was to add the US Bad Future in the Beginning during the Past Phase as well as the JP Bad Future’s SNCBNK Loop at the end.
Yeah, the SNCBNK loops are a big thing for me lol so I definitely agree
You did the impossible: a mixed Metallic Madness. This is great!
This is so well done, its incredibly skillful when you're able to take two different style of soundtracks and make them into one.

I wouldn't think this would work because these two versions accomplish the exact opposite of each other, but this works pretty well. Color me surprised 😅

The Good Future US was really weird as a track. But with that mashup, it sounds really great!

Disagree, the good future US is great for what it tries to say, but this mashup elevates it even more, making the music way more cheerful and adding that touch of sweet victory.

Yeah, you need to destroy 14 generators and 12 metal sonic projectors and/or collect 7 time stones from the special stages, which are accessed only if you have 50 rings by the end of a zone.

Technically you get three options.
Option 1: Destory all M.Sonic Projectors, Robotizer Machine's, and Collect all Time Stones. *(For Good, For Bad ending, if missed a single Time Stone before you hit Metallic Madness Act3, Also even if you have most of the stones Eggman somehow still reverse the good futures you created with one or few stones in his possession)*
Option 2: only destory Robotizer and M.Sonic Projecters Don't collect Time Stones. *(Note: you still get Bad Ending Eggman will have the time stones and undo ur damage)*
Option 3: Ignore Robotizers and M.Sonic Projecters, But only collect Time Stones. *(You instantly get Good futures from remainder zones of manage get all Time Stones in Three Zones and Get Good Ending Instantly For jist collecting Time Stones instead)*
@@Nina-sp5kb I'm pretty sure you still get the good ending as long as you got all of the robot generators even if you didn't get the time stones. Besides it wouldn't really make sense if you had to get the time stones either way because that would make the generators completely pointless.

For Sonic Just did it like normal Destoryed all devices and collected all timestones got Good End
Played Modded Sonic as Shadow played Bad Future Only didnt collect Timestones only destoryed all devices still received Bad Ending.
Then 3rd Modded Play as Rouge collected Time Stones only and ignored all Eggman Device's and still got Good ending and rest remaining zones Acts ever went to future all instantly became Good Futures reguardless all devices are still in the Past undestoryed. Still counted towards a Good ending so collecting Time Stones completely going to Past to destory the Eggman Device's meaningless

You can add it by downloading the video as an mp3 and uploading it into Spotify via the Local Files feature, but I'd get permission from the creator first.

Bad Future sounds a bit too messy but the other songs are actually perfect.
Why do you put the Japanese music on priority so much that I can't hear the US properly?
Because the JP soundtrack for Metallic Madness is commonly considered to be the surperior of the two, so it makes up the body of the mashup.
The US soundtrack contributes more in support with the Guitar and Bass elements, which the JP soundtrack has comparatively little of, so this makes it a more complete song, tbh sounds like a secret final boss music to me.

The US tracks are usually more atmospheric compared to the JP tracks they more suit the background while the JP take the forefront
