Quartz Quadrant - JP vs US Mashup

- Another mashup of Sonic CD's two soundtracks for you to enjoy; this time, from Quartz Quadrant.
This zone has always had an indoors/outdoors transition as you go through the level and it is very apparent in the game's Japanese soundtrack. In this mashup, I hope to have capitalized on that fact as the music transitions from Bad Future to Present to Good Future. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anywhere in the mix to incorporate the Past version of the soundtrack.
This mashup uses tracks from the 2011 release of Sonic CD and tracks from the Sonic the Hedgehog: BOOM soundtrack, and was composed in Mixcraft 8. Ripped sprites for the thumbnails were taken from The Spriters Resource.
It has the depressing nature of the US version, while still motivating you that all is not lost with that JP groove!
like a neutral time line that still want's you to improve.
Way past cool
Not gonna lie, I like both Bad Future themes for the zone, and the aesthetic, especially the outdoor areas, you can tell Robotnik's influence has taken over the whole place, factories that go on for miles.
@@CheddarVG Both Bad Futures play to different areas. The US sounds like what you'd expect outside, sad and desolate. The JP sounds like the inside, dark machinery with molten quartz and on the verge of breakdown.
This kinda works
Funny enough is how US people tough this was a game based on the SATAM cartoon because it was so infamous back then so not only have they been calling Amy "princess Sally" but they also made the soundtrack that sounds so haunted and desolate in reminisce to the show...
And if that is not the case then I'd assume they just wanted to do something different.... Eather way, way past cool
not to mention that two episodes of SATAM had sonic and sally use the time stones to travel back to before eggman robotized mobius
Now this is the strength of having 2 soundtracks
This works amazingly well, thank you RUclips recommendations once again :)
Eu conheço você :0
This was on my recommended and I can definitely see why
Tbh all I want is just an extended version of the Bad Future mashup. It's just perfect.
that's me with one of the metallic madness mixes
The mashup with Quartz Quadrant Bad Future actually sounds fitting enough for the end of Little Planet, not gonna lie
The jp one sounds like people are fighting back both sides collapsing and the us sounds like you’ve lost but the war is done both sides have been killed and now the place will never ref over but the both sounds like a war especially when it goes to the bad future inside

Most Sonic fans: “debating which soundtrack is better”
Intellectuals:
no one is debating, jp is better but this is cool though
Usa es mejor
Listen fellas they are both good in their own right theirs no point debating them it’s just up to personal preference
@@bigstinker-l4eI play tails campaign in origins or the mobile port with the us soundtrack since in my head cannon he cause the bad futures to happen since sonic 4 and generations have bad futures in them
0:00 bad future
1:12 present
2:47 good future
@Ja'Terrius Crayton is the order put in the video
I think the only place to incorporate Past is actual the beginning. By repeating the beginning of it for the baseline. Actually, I saw several opportunities to incorporate Past while listening. Still, great job regardless. Can’t wait to see what you do with the other stages like Stardust Speedway and Palmtree Panic
To tell you the truth, I don't know if I'll be doing those two stages. I definitely have some ideas as to how I would mash up Collision Chaos.
Holy crap! The good futures sound so beautiful together. Although, I wish I could hear the US present version better. Can barely tell it's there.
The US Present track is an outlier in the Quartz Quadrant set simply due to the fact that it is in a different time signature (6/4 time as opposed to 4/4 time). Most of time I spent on this mashup was trying to remix the US Present track into 4/4 time. It would have been nice to make it a little more prominent in the mix, but there's just not as much going on melodically in that track as there is in the other tracks and remixing it to fit 4/4 time would further break up the original melody it might have.
@@lorendavis1632 It's cool. I still really like the song. But yeah, I can imagine it being tough to figure out how to get one song let alone all seven to work together.
With how this sounds how can you not love this with a passion if you like both or even just one of the soundtracks its just too cool
I absolutely adore this mashup. It is the perfect fusion of both soundtracks! Quartz Quadrant is the best. 🥰
I’m here thanks for the second video
Another great mashup!
Holy shit that transition at 1:12 is divine
Nice work, you have earned a subscriber
Thank you for subscribing! I'm glad you enjoy the mix.
This is great man! Look forward to seeing more
That's very outstanding
Good job.
Ur quite underrated, keep uploading please, it gives me that HEAVENLY FEELING.
FINALLY!! Someone has the right idea.
2:16 Best part Best part
Idk why but everytime I hear the one middle part of the present jp song and then the good future im always amazed
I love how they made the good future sound amazing in both regions
Wait, did you combine all versions!? You are a genius
Please, we would like to see more remixes like this of the game :(
There’s ones of Wacky Workbench, Tidal Tempest and Metallic Madness by the same creator(not this one, I mean shared by each of those 3)
With Japan being on one side of the world, and the US being on the other, this *should* be the EU soundtrack, being in between the two
I agree, but all the US bar and 4/4 beat section versions have to be part of it as well
Quartz Quadrant nightmare future.
It's like it's saying get your ass moving through this desolate land you destroyed so you can change things and not Forget this Place woah.
this mashup just makes it better
I only heard you during your metallic madness days.
have you acquired some robotniks since then?
got some groove on dude. keep it comin.
Yooooooo I need another one of these soon!!!
It’s mixture might be a nightmare but if you want to do it im rooting for you.
Can we get an extended mashup of the Bad Future? They work so well together.
this is my fuckin, jam
The ending is pretty original
At the begining, if you set how fast the video plays to 1.25 you can hear the original jp Quarts quadrant bad future
Keep posting!!!!
Plays in Forest Garden Depths Zone Act 2
If the US Version was a bit louder, thos would be better. It's very hard to actually hear it, even if it has a 6/4 time signature. If you could make the US Version more noticeable, it would make it easier to hear how both tracks sound together.
Cool👍
I want you to trie to do all the zones so I can add them to my playlist
Loren Davis it would be awesome if you tried mixing stardust speedway US & JP
Это шедеврально хорошо что есть авторы у которых руки растут от куда надо.
Привет мне спустя 3 года.
now hear me out ....do this with the boss themes
@Õmicron XD What other channel? Loren only has this one. Can you share a link?
@Õmicron XD Still, do you have a link? I'm down to hear some great remixes.
@Õmicron XD Thanks!

Quartz Quadrant Bad Future Outside Image Original?
Que salió muy genial
1:30 solos
Us version is so good and Japanese is different.

Sonic cd usa x jp full gameplay
This is from the unused European ost.
unused? it’s not unused, the soundtracks have always been separated between regions.
The JP version is way better then the US version.
@Ja'Terrius Crayton I know but the US version can get a little scary.
agreed, by a long shot
no, both are great in their own ways.
