Gene Gadget - Mega Drive vs Saturn Mix
I am back with yet another Sonic the Hedgehog mashup. This time, I've made a mix from another Sonic game with two distinct soundtracks: Sonic 3D Blast. For this mix, I decided I wanted to use a VST to play back the music from the Mega Drive soundtrack; initially, I found that using a plain audio file distorts the sound quite a bit when setting it to match tempo with the Saturn soundtrack. Having the Mega Drive sounds played back through midi means you get a pure Genesis sound regardless of the music's tempo, and it afforded me freedom to bring in/leave out individual voices for a more balanced listening experience. The US tracks are usually more atmospheric compared to the JP tracks they more suit the background while the JP take the forefront

Wait, so you're telling me that most easy flicky to collect is absent in one of the most annoying levels that you are bound to lose your flickies and be forced to jump around and get them back while trying to avoid unkillable turrets and bad depth perception? How did this get past play testing?
Given how far into the game this level is, it was most likely intentional.
