You should write the adjectives under their forms of the verb for a person who starts to learn Korean, is more difficult for this person to understand how verbs work. Cause there are a lot of exceptions in the Korean conjugation.
The particle 는 is used to indicate the theme of a sentence but when it is connected to a verb, it turns it into an adjective. It all depends on the category of the verb because in Korean there are 3: verbs of quality, action, and existence.
Here I focused on quality verbs, they have the same function as an adjective in English like "to be great, to be fair, to be beautiful, etc..."
I will take the verbs from the video to explain the grammatical expectations to you at the same time.
I will not go into detail on the subject, you will learn what you need to know throughout your learning process. So for people who are really beginners here is how to dissociate, the verbs and their nouns in this video :
    Example:
    단단한 - infinitive form: 단단하다
    졸업한 - infinitive form: 졸업하다
It's for the verbs which end up by 하다.
    무거운 - infinitive form: 무겁다
    아름다운 - infinitive form: 아름답다
Verbs that end in ᄇ다 look like this in their adjective form.
    배고픈 - infinitive form: 배고프다
    틀린 - infinitive form: 틀리다

We tend to get caught up in the grammar very quickly and that a much more successful route is to just memorize words - build a foundation with words and then start to understand how they're structured grammatically. So even though you're not wrong and that's a very important aspect of understanding the language. It's not the goal of this video.

치다 means to hit. Think hitting a tennis ball, a shuttlecock, a golf ball, etc. You wouldn't say you hit a basketball. Although for baseball, it might just be a language quirk in collocation. 치다 is also used when playing piano or playing guitar.
