It was great to see Josiah, he is getting to be such so manly! Mike and Lacy you must be so proud of all your amazing kids and the homestead is really taking shape. I really like the new changes, it looks very nice.
PS the Machines haircut would look good on him 😁
That's supposed to say Mahommes. Mahommes haircut lol. Autocorrect!
Put black 6mil plastic around the tree-18”??eliminating weeds,BUT before you put tree into dirt- think about buying an aloe Vera (big one), cut sides off, then cut it all into small pieces and put into the dirt before putting in the tree!!-food for the tree, right away..!!! 🤗❤️
Great suggestions! 👏
Hope the trees survive after 2 weeks in their packaging!
Happy planting❤...your daughter and eldest son look alike, to say like twins...i always loved your videos, there is always place to laugh❤😂
30 years ago i ordered 30 apple trees, me and friend, cost us 30 dollars, one ft. Trees,,,,,lost a few, but now i get 20 bushels per tree,,,wtg grasshopper, stark Brothers, back in the day, it was a special
We've had severe drought here. It's still really bad.
"This is your new happy place!" I love it.
I live in Worcestershire uk and it has rained almost every day since summer 2023 until today
😳😳
We’ve had a drought here in SC. Grateful for any rain we can get!
We got the same in Alabama no rain in a while we have had some showers. Heavy clay
Blessings for bountiful crops of fruit for your family.
You are a hard worker Mike, as is your delightful family. Josiah certainly looks like his sister! Handsome children❤
I love your channel and your little family! You are so blessed!
Don't forget the permimate tree tag!
Mike, yes you are the joyful planting guy - and a hard worker! The raspberry area is looking berry nice.
Josiah, what is your favorite way to enjoy raspberries? You are a blessing to your father.
Always look forward to your vlogs. Great teachings, serving GOD,
Values, loving helpful family
GLORY BE TO GOD❤❤❤ HALLELUJAH
SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love the shirt
Love watching You and Your family and what you stand for with the way you raise your children
I like the idea of putting the blocks around the fruit trees! That really looks nice!
I find that when I dump compost and topsoil in a clay hole, the clay acts like a bucket, if you have a lot of rain my plant gets water logged. Love your vlog.
I always take the root ball of my new potted plants, out of the pot and set them in a bucket of water for a good soak prior to planting them in the ground.
Wow your homesteading is looking very nice! Luv it! Luv your family! Gif bless!
Luv the sense of humor! Lol😂😂😂
Can’t wait to see what Lacy does with the apples! 🙏🙏🙏
You have such a wonderful way of narrating valuable information.
Your orchard looks wonderful and Josiah is showing a great deal of maturity.
It’s wonderful to watch the family participating in the tent activity.
May God continue to bless you & your family.😊
I love strawberries I live in Durham NC and I have been growing tomatoes in bags and in my small raise beds cucumbers and watermelon but no strawberries yet love you guys❤
I loved the Bob Ross speach
May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals and the homestead and planting fruit trees
Team work is so important and refreshing, have a bless day 🌾🍁🍂🇺🇲
Respect to the family
We got all your rain. We've had non stop rain for weeks. Yesterday and today were our first sunshine in quite a while. I'm water logged
Definitely black raspberries explanation point smaller than regular raspberries but so sweet!
Where I live in California which is zone 9b to 10a and we have the same horrible clay soil. It took 8 years of potting soil and amendments to get it better. But I planted my to trees from Stark into jumbo containers.
Awesome video God Bless you and your family Amen
Farmers work is never done. Enjoyed your video. 💚
Hello it is great getting to see all you do on your farm.
Been a month with no rain until a couple days ago in south-central Indiana. Now there's some in forcast this week 😊
Another great video. We finally got 2" of a nice, steady rain the other day with more predicted for Wednesday.
I can't wait to see your raspberry patch in a few years.🤗
I open up the cardboard the trees come in and create a collar round each tree, keeps the weeds down, add mulch on top and redo each year
More Than Farmers has a beautiful trellis system to keep raspberries up nice & tidy & easier to harvest. I'm sure you know how incredibly invasive mint is and that it needs to be planted in containers or it will take over your entire property????
I tried like six different blueberry bushes. Every time I plant one they never survive and I’ve come to the realization that my soil is not acid enough and I’m not fighting anymore but my blood berries rocked I got tons of quartz this year. I just planted raspberry so I hope it does well.
Put your berries on a trellis and cut back to a few canes every year. That way it's more managable and looks neat
4 days after hurricane helene I'm trying to watch y'alls videos on loop to hopefully keep your income coming in while you recover. Praying for everyone affected in all communities up and down the eastern US
Blackberry cobbler has always been my favorite because of all the memories of my mom and I going out to pick together. What I would give for one more adventure with mom, she was wonderfully funny and wise.❤️
What’s wrong with putting the wood chips down around the bushes and trees so you don’t have to worry about the weeds so much
We have done that before. It sounds good in theory, but the weeds grow up rather quickly..
I planted 6 apple trees last month , and no rain. invested in 300 feet of hose.
I always add lots of sand to my clay soil. It works fantastic.
Mine came in defoliated, thought it was dead..
But i potted it anyway.
It sat three weeks nothing. But i thought it no sign of life Spring I will pull it up!
It now has 1" leaves after almost 5 weeks..
Love Stark's❤
Greensboro here
You and your family make it look so easy, but I know it's not. Great planning and hard work! Love all the berries, but really love mint and lemon balm- that's my go-to tea❤ and comfrey is just amazing for so much!
We got rain today only like an eighth of an inch and war in a drought is ridiculous. Hopefully we might get some more tomorrow. I had to water everything anyway I’ve had to water almost every day for the last two weeks.
I love rasberry.. and i have wild raspberries growing inside the fence.
Mike I hope talk plan on digging up most of your fruit trees and berry bushes when y’all move after you find the property for y’all to make home for a very long time if not a lifetime !! Talk have done so much to the land your on to improve it , it’s sad it’s not enough landfalls needs !! But call will fund the right property for your family !!
cog hill farms has blackberries growing along wires easy to keep easy to pick x
Im in Kentucky and yes we haven't had much rain very dry here.....😊
Maybe next year I will look into stark brose fruit trees/bushes 😊
Been with out rain here in NE Oklahoma for awhile but today we got a little bit but it was nice
Good video. Your kids are growing up.
We have had rain every single day for 2 months . The past 2 days no rain. But i believe its gonna start again since we just had a shower. I live in a part of Orlando that gets more rain than anywhere else in our city.
That’s a lot of happy little raspberries! I LOL about the brown Bob Ross. You crack me up! I’ve had zero luck with cultivated raspberries, but we have scads of wild black raspberries running rampant here on our place (SW Iowa). I love my thornless blackberries best though.
We never have rain here in north central Oregon. We'll be 7+ months without rain. Grrrr
Check ✔️ out how Living Traditions Homestead planted their berry rows. They just did a video about it.
We need overdue rain too in Pa. I just got an asian pear from Stark Bros, and the night I planted it, the deer ate every leaf off of it. I would assume your new trees are grafted right? It looked like the the graft was under the grade line, but maybe it just appeared that way
Here in southeastern indiana no rain in 30 plus days.we did get a 5 minute sprinkle today.
Great team work ❤
It just started raining here in Ohio yesterday and it’s on and off today too
Hi, A friend has raspberries I have a few, but any way he put t posts a wire ties raspberry plants up on wire, so easier to pick and take care of the plants. Take care.
A pickax and a water hose works wonders!
O I rally like that canopy if they come smaller I would like on my deck😊
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey
Welcome and Thank you!
Love seeing your family working together. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you in your journey
How exciting!! I love raspberries 😊
Favorite fruit? Wild Blue Huckleberries. We don't have bog Blueberries around here, so we just call these high-bush berries Blueberries and the red ones Huckleberries, but the red ones are kind of bland and I don't care for them much.
Hello everyone😊
Loving tne looks of your permaorchard my favorite pie is strawberry rhubarb yum.
My favorite is raspberry straight up either off the vine or out of my hand 🥰
Yes lots of rain
What a nice orchard
Man that clay is rough, I have sand and hand dug my garden no problem, Yup Its raining on the West Coast ,
Blueberries are my favorite!
Here in Oregon we always have somewhat of a drought during the summer months, we call it fire season. The threat of wildfire always looms over us during July, August and September. The rest of the year we have more rain than most and mild winters with almost no snow.
I lived in Medford Oregon for 7 months in 1977 and it was so beautiful with a view of a snow-capped mountain. Valley-like. When it rained it was very light drizzle-like with a rainbow.
Strawberries are my ultamite favorites
Thank you forinfo😊
My favorite is black raspberries!
Maybe a hand auger?
i think you might need to put a barrier in place or those rows just might run together via runners
Yes very little rain
Blackberries are my favorite.
We have had nothing but rain ,severe flooding and damage. Roads washed out, houses washed away. People homeless because of it.
Looking good, I like them when someone else picks them for me
You need to watch Jason at cog hill farms he gets huge fruit and it’s easy to pick berries and fruitt
Mike, when do you think you’ll get your first frost?
Our first frost date is usually around Nov 14th
My favorite is Boysenberry
Blackberries for sure yum
Your a bizzy bee Mike 😂❤love you all
Did you know to plant blackberries 10’ away from raspberries??yep
I didn't know that! Thanks!
Get a fork to soften up the clay so it would be easier
Raspberry..all types of berry
The reason it’s so hard to manage your raspberries and blackberries that’s because you’re not pruning them and training them to run up a wire. Trellis and you raspberry patch.
I just love your videos.....watching from INDIA. You guys are amazing.
Thank you so much for watching!
Whare we live hear in west Virginia are dirt is full of rock and clay we had drought to it kill all my flowers
Good video as usual ❤🎉😊😂😊
My favorite fruits are all berries 😋
