- Lots of failures and a little success in this video. I'm continuously having trouble forge welding mild steel to w2. I think I'm getting slightly better at it each attempt but it's a long process when you don't know what makes it work or not. More practice!
Thanks for watching!

I know videos have been very lacking for a while now with long gaps in between uploads as I've focused more on producing work for selling. I'm making a change to this though as I'll be starting a different kind of video style soon recreating some historic pieces with narration over it if I can do it well enough. This channel has for a while now been at a bit of a standstill as far as content goes, but do know that I'm trying to change this behind the scenes, as I myself adapt to being in a new workshop and country. I still love making videos, just gotta figure out what kind to make :) All the best!
Take your time with it bro can't wait to see what you come out with next 🤟
I think historic pieces would be pretty cool. Also some more things like the mehrunes razor; pieces from games or movies, would bring some more people. Good luck bro, we're here for you
the only one you have to please is yourself! don't sweat it the ones who are into your stuff will be here!!
Glad to hear that man, keep making n creating
Mistakes like these happens to us all, i personally love that style of knife, glad you're still working on the videos.
É demais ver a evolução desse parça aí..
Fails happen. Only way to learn from them is to keep trying.
Not with kids tho lol
Knives look awesome. Great work👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was perfect.
LOVE from IRAN ❤️
Muy bien hechos. Buen trabajo compañero.👍
They all look great!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Top bos,, 👍
Any chance at having crack at and putting your spin on some kephart style bushcraft knives? Recently found your channel and love your work
Very nice classic design, I like it! I've been thinking about making some full tang bush knives too so this is definitely a good design. Thank you!
I always have to weld completely around the billet when I make San mai with mild steel.. not sure why..
I tried San Mai once. It was weird, my layers didnt delaminate but the center layer separated from itself
Why does delamination happen? Was the metal not hot enough during forging?
The two you finished look really nice.
I was wondering, the more you work as a smith and your forearms build up, will your tattoo get further and further out of calibration?
It's flawed forge welds from the beginning, could be not hot enough or too hot. Haha It probably will but since it's on my left arm that I'm not doing any hammering with it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks mate :)
I hope the oil is pre-heated. Good outcome by the way... 👌
No need. It's parks 50 quenching oil. Thank you :)
Well that kinda sucks. Great lookin knives though. What do you think happened?
Shame about the three that delaminated, but you ended up with two awesome pieces, which is bettwe than none at all 😊
san mai what is that Philpppine? i will admit your rat tail tangs are different than what i'm used too what i'm used to is more akin to file style tangs that drop to a point!
These aren't rat tail tangs
@@DrengrMike well i've been around forging and knife making for decades being taught by guys in their 70's and 80's and all i've ever heard non full tang knives called is a rat tail tang! your style there i've only heard referred to a bobbed-tailed rat tang!!
@@keithmoore5306 of course the old guys have their slang, but there is an official terminology and categorization that I was referring to and of all the tang styles, the official rat tail tang is the most unforgivable.
First!!!
Actually not. There's someone a minute ahead of you lol
