Last year I completed a collection of the earliest Walt Disney Comics and Stories to feature Carl Barks’s Donald Duck stories from 1943-1945, Issues #31-63 and an issue of Frozen Gold from Four Color Comics #62 from January 1945, as well as a couple of Donald and Mickey Merry Christmas Firestone giveaway comics from 1944-1945, the 1944 issue is a reprint of a Barks Donald Ducks comic from Walt Disney Comics and Stories #35, but the 1945 issue has an original Barks story called Donald Duck’s Best Christmas that features the first appearance of Grandma Duck. This collection took some years to build but I’m really proud of it. 😊
