I believe this trailer was misleading and wanted to proof 2 things: 1- That Kong was buffed and can hold his own against Godzilla since he kept growing because he was still young in his movie, and in part to the radiation on Skull-Island (mentioned in the comics), and in the promotional toys he is shown to have an ax with one of Godzilla's back plates. 2- The trailer wants to make us think that Godzilla is “The bad guy” to direct the attention towards him and not MechaGodzilla, or maybe they’ll use that in the plot to provoke Kong and make the 2 alphas fight. They may not do the same, but they can take a lot of inspiration from past stories. #TeamGodzilla

Godzilla Vs Kong is the new Endgame. I haven't seen so much hype for one move in so long. Sure, there's a new James Bond and Black Widow coming layer on; but I'll be dammed if I haven't seen the hype for a movie being this substantial in a long time.

I'm cheering for both Godzilla and Kong. Both were always there when the world was in peril. Godzilla maintained balance and power of Nature and Kong defended the Iwi tribe on Skull Island from other deadly creatures and made sure to keep such creatures in check and furtherly balancing out the ecosystems of Skull Island. Technically the two would see each other as equals since they both have similar goals. I also feel bad for both Titans, Godzilla's species were likely killed off by MUTO Prime and Kong's species and parents were killed off by the Skullcrawlers. Like I said, I'm cheering for both Godzilla and Kong. I've watched both franchises since I was just a child.
