It's not really eating the carrot. It's puffed up, which means it's scared and it will bite anything you put in its mouth at that time because biting is an instinctive defense reflex.

@@belletaunde102 my point was that it's not choking. The noise it's making can't be from "gasps". That isn't physically possible as far as I know. It's definitely asphyxiating, but I don't think fish can physically choke. Their anatomy is very different from humans.

This is relatively ethical. Millions of animals die to be eaten every year, whether by humans or other animals. We just have less painful ways of doing it. And farming actually kills more animals, because things like plant fields require hundreds of acres, hundreds of acres which have ferrets, foxes, and other animals who burrow in the ground and make it their home. And the animals that feed off of those animals starve too.

Not really cruel. Fish love carrots, so there's nothing wrong with feeding it one. Fish also don't experience suffocation like humans do. It takes about 10min out of water before a fish starts releasing adrenaline. As for the filleting... Well, that's how you prepare fish. Whenever you eat fish, that process has happened to it

The first time I saw this video it was just the fish eating a carrot. But then my friend showed me when it gets slaughtered and now I am in regret and anguish.
One of the reasons they did surgery on a grape was a meme is because RUclips started recommending it to everyone for weeks
You filled the void of behind the meme left, and by god you do it so much better.
The reason why they are doing that to show how powerful the jaws are, is because their jaws are powerful enough to ugh a metal can and can bite your finger off in a blink of an eye. So people who “clean” them better be very careful when around these fish, because they can take chunks out of you.
And the reason why it’s making those noises is because it was actually choking since it ‘ate’ too fast and choked.

My condition makes my body react to certain kinds of proteins as if they were toxic.
I have to keep my red meat, pork, and chicken consumption to a minimum, or risk a flare up.
I also have flare ups when i eat leafy greens, any kind of bell pepper, most kinds of mushrooms, and the vast majority of 'seed' type edibles like corn...
Oh, and my allergy to soy is bad enough to require an epipen.

I think I have a reason why the fish moaned. Pufferfish normaly 'Inhale' water to inflate itself, but since it's out of the water, it takes in air. When the pufferfish in the video opened it mouth while eating the carrot, some of the air was let out, but it wasn't enough to deflate the fish. Hence why the "Auughh~..." noise was made. It's like squeaking a balloon.
