My childhood game! There used to be 4 pawns
Nolan Bankeroff yo i thought I was the only person who thought that🤣
This is the smaller version. Kind of like a Sorry JR.
This game is essentially just Trouble but with more mechanics
I don’t remember having to move backwards in the safety zone, unless you drew a four. Unless that’s the change he’s talking about.
I used to play this in elementary 😭😭
We just bought the new "Fire" and "Ice" power chip version. If you read all the way through the instructions it says under "Variations" to play the classic version just ignore all the fire & ice stuff and that would be us. Oh! the the slide zones have colored stripes and you can only slide if one of the stripes is your color. Works out the same as the old board where you can't slide on your color. (Sort of confusing if you ask me)
Leave it to hesbro gaming to change the rules. There's nothing like the old Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley versions of board games. My opinion.
According to the instructions you have the Slides wrong. The instructions say to slide only if you land on the triangle of the of “your color slide”. And if you land on any other color you stay put on the triangle.
The issue is that on this board it’s hard to distinguish what slide belongs to what color.
Similarities to backgammon. Its a race game. The cards act as dice and you have a safe zone similar to a home board in backgammon
Hurry to see what the rest of the movie says ok
Like your jock
You didn’t mention that you can only slide on the ones with your color on them
oh you do? ok
Thats a different version..
That’s my favorite sorry board game
Thanks for the video
Very well explained thanks!
Get the original version from EBay...it's not as childish when played in its original format and with 4 pieces.
Thanks dude 👌
If you get a solid seven split between your ponds
Should I buy the two-player version?
Thank you for explaining I already read the rules but my brother wanted to make up his own unless he played a different version where you get to slide on triangles every count lol but thank you for clarifying
So what happens if your in the safety zone but you draw a number that’s to many spaces for you to get home. Do you forfeit your turn or do you count it up then go backwards?? For example; if I land on the second space in my safety zone but the next card I draw has to be 4, but I draw a 7 instead. Do I still move it up the 4 spaces then go back 3 spaces?
Yeah, you count it backwards, like you described. :)
Sorry i haven't played this game before.
You can’t slide if it’s not your colour...but the slide has 3 different colours. So who slides and who doesn’t?
If you’ve already gone around the broad once and land on the skid before the home, do you slide?
Can you move more than one of your pawns from start?
The 2020 version went back to 4 pieces
what happens if you get say a 12 inside the safe zone when only needing a 1.. do you fall back all the way outside the safe zone? or do you remain within this space
Yep, that is my question.
Stay put and forfeit turn
Can only move exact number to reach home
Love you babe
How do u play the road trip version. What do u do when u land on a stop sign?
Looks fun. I wonder if my 4 and 6 yr olds can play?
Per the rules of the game I thought you couldn’t slide on the triangle unless it had your color. Did I misinterpret the rules?
Brittany Smith I heard the opposite 😅, that you cannot slide in your color. But sliding on your color makes way more sense.
I assumed it was the other way around because I’m this new version it shows 3 colors. I’m guessing it means those 3 colors can slide?
Yep.
Correct! There used to be 4 pieces
If I were to draw a 7 and split the move btw two pawns... could I use this move to get a pawn out of start on a 6/1 or 5/2 split?
No.
I’m confused at the sorry! card that says “Move a pawn from the start area to take the place of another player’s pawn, which must return to it’s own start area”.. Can you help me out with explaining what that means if their is already some pawns on the board and some in the start area?? Thx!
The card means that you can take one of your pawns from your start area and put it on any space where another player has a pawn. You then return the other player's pawn to their own start area. Hope that helps!
Hogwa5h Gaming thank u! That’s what I thought it meant 😅👍🏽
Its self explanatory..
that not how you play sorry
I dont like sorry
