Rochester & Southern Welded Rail Train Chase From Silver Springs NY

This past weekend I was given word that the first RSR welded rail train in a very long time was going to run from Silver Springs up to the Rochester NY area. I was able to chase them up the entire mainline as they followed behind the road train RS-1. The rail train ended up tying down for the weekend at Brook Road in preparation for dropping on Monday. The rail on this train was 115 lb rail from Steel Dynamics and half was for the RSR and the other half was for P&W in Massachusetts. The rail train consist was a Herzog Gen ii rail train built on former TOFC spine cars and 2 brand new never used before drop cars built in February 2024
