Thanks for the honest review. In a nutshell, the healthcare industry needs to step up their game & start paying us nurses what we’re worth! 💯 For us seasoned travelers it looks like this is doable but not without its hoops to jump through. It totally sucks that they won’t pay for the onboarding but you get way more money, so I guess it’s ok.
Become an LLC and write those expenses off...testing, physical exam, drug test etc. keep track of everything. Get an Accountant who can work with you as an independent contractor. So worth it.
At various times I have been an independent contractor, filing as self-employed. No LLC required. And LLCs are usually formed for limiting liability, which may or may not be applicable in John's case. And *related* out-of-pocket expenses like the testing, as well as any travel etc., *that are not reimbursed*, are deductible. ~ Kir in Tennessee
True you can file without being an LLC, but there are many advantages. My husband was travel nurse for 15 years and it certainly pays off especially with your own SEP (self employment plan) .
Very informative and helpful thanks for being transparent . What are your thoughts on krucial staffing. Have you taken an assignment with them. Their slots always fill up quick.
one of those people who just left. just joined fastaff last week. waiting for my official notice to expire and take feb. contract. thanks for the channel. love it. just found it. pounding the vids. lots of great information for a first time traveler
Hello from Los Angeles!!! You should come down over here visit us... Now on all the certifications that are not rein-versed, it should qualify for a tax write off as well as stetoscope, Scrubs ... Right?
I'm on an assignment now & they want 2 extend my assignment. I like the place, but the burn out is real. The nurses there do everything. Once n a blue moon u'll c a tech, but nurses do total care & all. As much as I like it, it's too much 4 the little pay. Hell, it's not even enough 4 a travel assignment. Teaching hospitals can b a trip with the peanuts they pay & the amount of work they want from u. Thank God I love my job. I prefer 2 travel over the next 5-10 yrs 2 avoid burn out.
Hello there John, nice to meet you! I’m Gerardo an ICU travel nurse from Texas. Currently in California on a 4-week contract. After watching this video, I would very much appreciate it, if you could send me your recruiters number from Faststaff. Thank you very much god bless
So helpful! I was looking at this agency for the shorter contract options but good to know what was expected like being a seasoned traveler.

It was pretty hit the ground running for sure. The extra pay certainly paid for the onboarding. :)

😍
Are travel nurses used as scab labor if there is a labor strike?
There are specific contracts designed for that yes. Fastaff does have several of these contracts.
Does Atlas have just RN positions or do they offer positions for RN and LPN’s?
Thanks brotha!!
No problem 👍

how does your medical insurance work with switching companies?
We do not have insurance through work. We utilize a Healthshare plan. ruclips.net/video/8eGRjWQWRvs/видео.html
