Practice really is the only true answer. Maybe advice about doing this or don't do that will help accelerate the process, but practice is the only way to get better because what you're doing is building muscle memory and retraining your brain to separate what your eyes see from what your inner ear is telling you. Eventually you will never be confused about whether or not you're right side up or upside down. Eventually you will not panic when you only see sky or are about to hit something. Your fingers will react without you even thinking about it just as your body reacts when you're about to step in dog shit and you see it a moment before you step into it. Your body will react to avoid stepping in it without you having to think about widening your step and shifting your body weight. Your fingers will adjust the throttle, yaw, pitch and roll to avoid a crash automatically.
Awesome stuff, Pawel! Thanks! 😃 Let me ask you something... Is there any sensor I could put in the quad for collision avoidance (specially during RTH)? Thanks!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
A couple days ago bardwell put out an interview with wez varty about elrs. According to him, there was communication between the developers and manufacturers. At the end of the day it's up to the manufacturer to follow through but it's not completely disconnected. I've been using elrs for a couple months and prefer it over crossfire
Yep loving elrs… we will see how his opinion holds up if near future because it sure is making alot of noise and progressing at an undeniably alarming rate
What did you end up choosing? There are so many factors in the recommendation, but can knock a few off the list immediately. Cost is not a huge consideration, if you're toting around a DJI Air Unit. You need space and approachability, the things I was most concerned with when choosing my first. I ended up with a Hobbyking Skipper, oddly, but hear me out: It has a massive load bay for it's wingspan, it can operate on grass without wheels, and is a seaplane and equipped with better servos and motor, supposedly. I mounted the VTX and Camera on the canopy, with a 3S balance plug, so I can run without FPV also. It's a tough plane, can hoist a 2200 4S without breaking a sweat, but really likes packs in the 1300mah range for agility. Otherwise, any Bixler type plane is perfect, if big.

Kudos to you Pavel! I saw you in the last livestream of JB but that´s not the point.

Nicely done! Great reference material with answers that will stand for multiple years.
I do hope so, because so far, the video is not doing very well to be honest
Nice format of video. Lot of information. Thanks;-)
Awesome! Very helpful video. A bunch of "Gold Nugget" info in one video! Thank you Pawel! Rock On!
Thanks man!
How about this one? What do you think is best wing/plane for cruising with DJI?
I don't think there is one answer. There are many many options
@@FPVUniversity any videos or playlists of yours you would recommend for choosing a first?

Hello Pawel,,,what is the relation between dBi and dBic,omni antenna with 3dBi gain is the same as 3dBic ? is there a calc to understand these numbers ?
I think we don't have to go into the dBiC and just assume that it's the same as far as we, RC and FPV are concerned
Palwel, just want to say thanks for inav .. anyway i have some problems with the current version i have a 5 inch drone gps on a mast has a good manometer it shows north i calibrated it its away from the power lines of the battery.. i combined pos hold with alt hold so i switch from angle mode to position hold and alt hold..
what it does is alt hold fine then slowly drift forward and to the right??????? do i remove alt hold and just use position hold is that the issue??? so i combine horizon or angle mode with pos hold? etc..
second problem return to home.. i have a gps that locks on too 20 sats it says in lua telemetry 3d good etc does not show home icon the green lock on on my gps module taked 4 minutes to start blinking where i get 20 sats in like 20 seconds so i wait the 4 minutes to be safe..
heres the problem stock settings i fly 75 feet away 30 feet up it shoots up turns sorta at me but farther to the right like 10 degrees off.. goes slowly past home and keeps going i dont know where it thinks home is..
now ive set up a reset home i even took off hovered hit reset home lua telem goes home reset and it still does the fly right past me.. mind it 2 mph but its thinking home is off somewhere when it shows it has a lock right in front of me when i took off..
now painless 360 had a video with cli commands i used to once plugged in it sets home at that position every time i plugg in just incase it looses power etc out in the feild and it thinks thats home its a safety thing..
so im confused why is it flying past me and 10 degrees off.. ive calibrated everything my cell phone says 0 degrees north i put it on top of the drone drone in lua telem and my goggles says 0 north and home locked..
any input would be grateful..

Here's a bonus one: Why won't my new speedybee f7 v2 flight controller not send all data from a dump/diff all command when connected via Bluetooth?!
probably BT is too slow to handle that amount of data and it overflows the input/output buffer

It's too fast and too long. I think it would be better to make 3 separate videos, each 10 questions and about 5-7 minutes long.
