THANK YOU!!! We had a JL W7 10” put in our 2020 Silverado. When they hooked it up it sounded terrible it had no power and it had all ranges of audio coming through. (We have a JL 1000watt amp). We looked and they hooked it up through the left rear speaker. We have spent so much time trying to find out why it did not sound good. I saw this video and saw about the yellow wires and looked and even ours has it, we do not have the bose upgrade either. We just hooked it up that way and it sounds amazing. THANK YOU!

@@octanetvchannel I am looking to install a Kicker HS8 Hideaway on a 2022 Silverado 2500 non bose, the only connections I am worried about is the speaker wires, where can I tap into the speaker wires in this truck? Or can I wire it like this video, by converting the speaker wires to rca’s and then connecting them to that high to low converter and then to the yellow wires?? Please help

Could my sound system cause intermittent starting I put the remote where she put it and my truck has been doing intermittent starting does anyone know what that fuse goes too that you’re tapping into for the remote

I have a 24 Silverado with Bose. It's TERRIBLE! the 2018 i had previously was a much better system. How can that even be?! I finally broke down and added a shallow 12 under the back seat. Now it's serviceable 😅
I do not see yellow/black wires in that wiring harness.. is there different factory sub speaker wires?
Has anyone installed on Amp on a 2022 Sierra AT4. The right side fuse box has no extra lugs for remote install. What location or fuse did you have to connect the remote wire? I would guess if no extra fuse blade location available one used a add a fuse link in say an 10 amp fuse location that only turns on while the ignition is on?
I'm coming from a 2019 Ford with the B&O sound system. It was terrible just hooking up a hi to low set-up as it used voltage to regulate the amount of volume the sub had. So when it was low volume it was too much bass, and hi volume it would roll off dramatically to protect itself. Do these Bose systems do the same? I really don't want to have to do the digital to analog conversion just to get a clean signal and have gains set properly

Does all installs need a high/low device? I have a 2022 GMS AT4 (refresh). I just took out my old amp and sub from the 2021 Silverado and did not see such a device.
Clean hopefully it’s just as easier on my 22
With the amp in that location does it cause any overheating issues? I'll be installing a 1500 mono with 2 american bass 12s. Just wondering about the airflow behind the box.

Im trying to figure this out as I heard the computer shuts down bass notes peaks to protect factory speakers. So with that i hear you get suppressed bass lows

Looks great! If a Silverado doesn’t have a bose system and a bass like to tap into, would better sound come out if you tap into the front door speakers or the rears? I’ve heard different opinions. I’m going to hook up an LC2i. Any direction and advice would be appreciated! God bless!
If you haven’t done your install yet, instead of tapping your doors, look up LLJ customs they sell a harness that will connect into a lc2i clean install plug and play.
@@TexasSean is there a benifit to connect plug and play over tapping into door? Seems like a lot more steps for an amateur like me.

And this install you disconnect bluetooth mic because here on houston the make too much problem to install mu amp and subwoofer because seeing maybe little noise maybe yes maybe not please help me

What is the brand of the box. I have 2 fosgate 12 t1 subs I want to install under my seat. I need at least a 6.75 mounting depth and preferably a ported box.

There is probley a open data pin somewhere to use for remote wire , so don't have to run off fuse box

You only have to tap into one speaker it is a mono signal

I'm trying to do a high to low
for Silverados without factory sub, the yellow-black wire. is Front Right -, the yellow wire is Front Right + It may be a sub wire for a denali that has a factory sub. find the corresponding wires on your LOC. should be labeled on the LOC housing or in the instructions.

How do I know if I need a high to low? Its been 15 yrs since Ive installed a system. I just bought a rockford fosgate powered ported shallow fire sub 300rms. Do i need the high to low adapter? or just a standard amp wiring kit?
A high to low adapter is to get you RCA plugs for your amp. So if your radio doesn’t have RCA plugs on the back you will have to convert a high speaker wire to a low RCA with the converter.
@@sevyn13 Exactly what I did. It was a pain getting to the front right wiring harness but managed. Easy peasy once I tapped into them
@@sevyn13what if your sub has an amp built in and has the low pass filter knob? Cuz on my Acadia I tapped into the rear speaker by soldering the RCA in parallel with it. Of course sleeve was - and the inner wire was +.
Basically I’m wondering if I still need a high to low (I think it’s also called LOC?) if there a low pass filter already on the amp. Otherwise it seemed like my Acadia setup was doing just fine as long as the low pass filter was set lower.
Also the sub+amp combo has low and high inputs…I was using low inputs. But should I have just used high inputs instead?

No Ground. Just capped them.

We left them in there because it did not affect the Box

Horrible video doesn't explain anything like How is the audio going into the amp and 2nd those 2 yellow wires and the panels is that the power? Or audio input who knows... And where did the audio input come from the back speakers how did you tap into that.... Did you use RC a's from the factory head unit... So much left unexplained..
This video shows everything thoroughly especially detailed and step-by-step. If you don't understand the basic fundamentals of how to hook up an amplifier I would suggest taking it to a professional. Thank you for your valuable input
