    Dude. It’s important to tap into a stereo source for the bass. The amp will convert into mono, but the studio didn’t record it that way. The end result is a loss of signal.

      Are you saying this isn’t the correct or optimal way of wiring subs?

    • @zakuraayame5091
      @zakuraayame5091 24 дня назад +1

      Yeah, why is it not right? Because some songs roll bass from left to right …
      You lose all bass output on the roll to the other channel.

    Only thing I would suggest, the "remote" wire needs to have an inline fuse on it, just 1amp is enough. If remote wire comes loose out of the amp and touches metal/ground, it will short burning something up (weakest link). It will get very hot in seconds. Wasn't a big fan of the main fuse holder either, it did not look weather sealed for engine bay use, corrode quickly but that's not a safety item.

    You can make it real easy and buy an amp with level sensing amp turn on and remote level control. I just tapped the factory sub wires for signal under rear pass door sill. No pac needed. I used a JL amp and stealthbox

    • @alextorres2088
      @alextorres2088 6 месяцев назад +1

      If you haven't figured it out yet, you will need to remove the under seat storage compartment. You have to remove the screws holding down the jack, remove the "wing nut" holding down the lug wrench, and there is a little screw in the front of the storage compartment on the driver's side that you have to remove. Then it comes right off.

    Just an FYI, if that enclosure were 0.5
    An S12 would be louder at every frequency above 32Hz compared to the S10
    And the S10 would be louder below 32Hz but by 32Hz both subs are already down over 10dB by then anyway - and by Louder we are talking like 1dB >.< The 12 is fine.
    IMO sealed enclosures are the wrong way to go though.

You getting on our video and telling us that we should be embarrassed? We've been doing this for over 25 years and use 3M t-taps on over 25,000 installs with no failures. Maybe you need to learn how to use the connector and then you won't have any problems or failures? It's not about the product it's about who installs it. Maybe before you get on our video and tell us we should be embarrassed You should think about what you say before you say it. It's people like you that give products bad reputations because you know nothing about the product and your ignorance is why the internet the way it is. Please stop spreading misinformation

    • @Truroben
      @Truroben Год назад +1

      @@octanetvchannel Dude, they're scotch locks. They're an open air splice connector. What you're doing is adding an oxidation point into the wiring. Using them is asking for corrosion, especially in an entry point into a vehicle where you've got excess salt coming into the vehicle during the winter. Maybe you guys are in a super dry climate where you don't use road salt, or aren't by any salt water, but here in the Northeast, you'd be diagnosing signal issues within 2 years.
