@@jeremymatwyko6755 if under powering a sub will burn it out then if you drive around with your volume knob at say 10 out of 40, does that mean you will burn your sub out? Hahahahhaha If under powering your sub will burn it out, does that mean you have to always run it at full power? Hahahahahahah

I gave my 2011 Silverado the same stereo treatment several years ago and it was the best thing I have done to the truck. My head unit has wireless carplay and is fantastic. BTW the word for the screen you were talking about is "capacitive" touch screen. Great video.
I have always put hushmat. On inside of the door panel on the outside door skin behind the speaker itself and I have always loved the quite ness of my projects I have done

Should have covered all the large service holes in the doors. Also put the dynamat on the inside door skins. It’s absolutely a must. If you cover the holes you get a much better bass response and much less outside noise.
I wanna do same to mine but these years chevys were notorious for water getting past window seals and would hold water if fully sealed. Plus I do alot of mudding and offroad but think I'm gonna stop doing that and get the ole 87 going again
That is my dream setup I’ve always wanted to just go balls to the walls with that sound detonating. Make sure to let us know if it makes the ride any quieter down the road once you get it all put back together! Keep up the precision love watching your videos
Just a tip for when you need to grab ACC in a place like that. Take 2 insulated female spade connecters (like the ones that connect to speakers) go about 2-3 inches from where you tied in and cut your wire then use the spades and put a 10A fuse in each one and bam you have a inline fuse and you don't need to worry about shorting anything... Side note cant remember if its fuse 42 or 43 under the hood but you can use a standard fuse tap in there to get ACC power... All in all one of the better DIY jobs I have seen👍
Amazing is what it is Hawaiian, love your channel👍🏽 I'm a Chevy person myself. Keep up keeping up braddah. Nice to come across your channel. Blessings🤙🏽
You have a lot of guts to do a project like that, good on you. The radio could have cut out because of the ten minute shut off for accessory power. I been in love with Tuff Stu forever. Your kids are cute as can be.
Pac audio rp5-gm31 is the correct aftermarket harness you should be using for your model truck when switching to an aftermarket radio. It does all the data communications for the gm lan networks (data communication wires that run through factory radio), has factory accessory for your radio, and retains your door chimes. Highly advise using that harness, especially when doing a clean install like this. Nice work though! Good stuff on finding those accessory wires
I didn’t see if you did, but you should put a piece on the exterior sheet metal. You do not have to cover the whole thing, but a piece right in the center of that door panel will stop a lot of vibration and sound.

Hey there! Just a pointer for you in the future or your subs, but for an extra $20 bucks Crutchfeild will make a plug and play wiring harness and it makes everything so much easier and it is 100% worth it, if you sell the truck and want to keep your radio the stock will still hook up.
I have a 2011 extended cab like yours and one thing i really wanna do is take dash out and completely wrap to be like the newer trucks with padded vinyl or w.e it is.
Pretty awesome. One thing you could added was the boom mat. It's basically a foam box for the door speakers helps with mid range bass. I have them paired with my jl audio 6.5 and it's more bass than I thought
Hey bud! Nice job on installing the sound deadening materials! I was watching closely on when you hooked up the amp, I noticed that you didn’t install a fuse from the battery to the amp. Probably should take a look at that….. and installing the correct gauge wire to the amp is also important as well. Crutchfield is an excellent source to help with that. Other than that, nice job!😊🍻👍

How much matting did you use? Car Play has to be connected via USB right? If so is there a way to run a USB through the back and up through the center console to avoid a wire hanging out the front of the unit?
Do you still have those morimoto headlights because I would love to buy those off of you. I have an 07 silverado and is in need of a major headlight upgrade
