- We visited Vintage Sports in Kichijoji to check out their classic J. League shirts and oh man, it was rascal after rascal. From King Kazu and Tokyo Verdy to an Urawa Reds KFC collaboration, nothing but bangers all day. Of course we went for a bowl of ramen afterwards too, because why wouldn't you. 10/10 day out.
9:33 is actually a Uruguay '86 kit. Argentina played against them in the Round of 16 and even said that was their toughest match of the tournament.

Okinawa Kariyushi was a team from Naha City. They were dissolved in 2010, and were never higher than the Kyushu Football League, even though they won it 4 times.

I remember Ruy Ramos briefly came out of retirement as a player-advisor for this club.
Not really. Ramos (and a few other players) left Kariyushi and went to Ryukyu in the early 2000s. Kariyushi then ran for a few more years, before going bankrupt in 2010.

He was Wagner Lopes. I don't remember him playing at France 98. Japan overall played really well, they were unlucky against Argentina and were the better team against Croatia. By the last game against Jamaica it didn't matter as they were already out. The big furore before the tournament was why Kazu Miura didn't make the squad

So I’m going to go to Japan in June or July, I know it will be hot but I’m from Texas it’s always hot here, what stadium/team has the best atmosphere?
Very different type of heat I think! Texas is dry right? In Japan it will be humid and sticky, not fun but manageable if you stay in the shade and drink a lot of water!
If you will be in the Tokyo area then I personally think Urawa is always a great vibe, and in J2 JEF United, then even though they’re now in J3 Omiya Ardija. If you’re lucky you could maybe even see all of them in the same weekend. They all have beautiful stadiums, great fans, and top tier atmosphere. Enjoy!
@@jleaguejourneys parts of Texas is dry but that’s like East Texas I’m from Houston where the city was built on top of swamps and it takes like an hour to get to the beach so I understand humidity haha.
