The Official RUclips channel of ex Crystal Palace, Arsenal & England striker Ian Wright.
From growing up in South London to the multiple unsuccessful trials and plans to give up playing, I signed my first professional contract with Crystal Palace a few months before my 22nd birthday. In 1991 I signed for Arsenal Football Club where I scored 185 goals in 288 appearances. I went on to play 581 league games, scoring 387 goals for seven clubs in England and Scotland, earning 33 caps for the English national team.
I am now fortunate enough to have a football broadcast career working for the BBC & ITV.
Some Career Achievements:
185 goals in 288 appearances for Arsenal (2nd all time leading goal scorer)
117 goals in 253 starts for Crystal Palace (leading post war goal scorer)
33 caps for England Men’s National Team
Premier League Winner (Arsenal): 97/98
Premier League Golden Boot (Arsenal): 91/92
FA Cup (Arsenal) : 92/93, 97/98
European Cup Winners' Cup (Arsenal): 93/94

Wrighty just has that personality, you can’t help but love the geezer 😀
@d b Someone should've brought Wrighty a Snickers then
Sore thumbs fuck u
Cesar Ivan he actually is a prick in real life I tried to ask for an autograph but he told me to fuck off
@@devinpapadoilos942 for real?
Azis Hidayatullah Yep I wish I was joking but he turned out to be a prick (he was my best arsenal player until that moment ruined it for me)
You must have respect for the CFS lads who know everything about each kit. True passion for their craft. Love seeing that
yea its cool how u can pick out any shirt and they know which one it is.
Wrighty was born for presenting. Forget being an all-time great striker, he has a manner that is impossible not to like
Ian wrights jacket is fire
GoonerKIRK. Init!
Pure hotness. I love the old badge too!
Definitely and I'm a Spurs Fan
My cousin Jak has that jacket. I reckon there are about 4 of them left. Classic Arsenal.
I'm taking my first loved comment from Ian Wright and keeping it forever. Cheers, Wrighty.
Matt Greek ESASC I would pay good money for that jacket
@@pushit2thelimit242 I think Jak already did. Not for sale. Sorry.

@@IanWright Ledgend seems like such a down 2 earth fella top class player👌👌
i could literally listen to Wright talk about football for hours. What a nice guy!
His knowledge of football borders on supernatural. The man's a class act. And it's great to see the classic shirts!! 👍👍 This video has been the best antidote to the coronavirus crap we're suffering from at the moment. Keep safe, people.👍
This is THE best football memorabilia video I have ever seen! No one could have captured these moments better than our legend Wrighty. His memories were as if it all happened yesterday. Just not the same anymore.
13:21 Couldn't have said it better Mr Wright. My earliest imprinted memory of footie on the telly was when Bergkamp first came to our club I believe. That team was immense, I can still close my eyes and go back to that old memory as a 7 year old watching this team of red and white being so utterly dominant yet elegant, like supermen. It stuck with me, despite all the great players that came after, including Henry and even Cristiano. Denis really changed our DNA and made the club global.
There is a story behind every shirt - Ian, stories are amazing.
What I love about guys like Wrighty, is that they just have this pure love for football. It doesn’t matter about which team or player; they have actual genuine knowledge, interest and passion for everything about the beautiful game.
I could listen for hours upon hours to Wrighty and those of his status about goals, celebrations, all the quiet and private moments of being a footballer at their clubs.
Massive love and respect, from a Brentford fan.
Football shirt heaven I could spend days in there 😍
13:29
Wrighty is our beloved
Henry is the King
Adams is our captain
Viera is our legend
But Bergkamp... Bergkamp gave us the Arsenal we know and love today.
I'm not even a Gunner, but those five players are responsible for some of the greatest football I've ever seen! Sensational, every one of 'em!
You forgot arsene wenger!🙈
berkamp was simply the "best player in the team". that's how i would call him. maybe the best arsenal player of all time .
@@karlsylvain that’s a stretch as much as I love Wrighty Henry is the first then it’s Wrighty
and Wenger is our Boss
I've still got that iconic shirt from my childhood. My daughter wears it now. ❤
I just showed her this video, and she said, " I wear it better," 😂😂 cheeky little devil 😂❤
Ian Wright , an absolute gem of a man. The passion for football just pours out of him.
Being West Ham, we love you to Wrighty and your passion for the sport
It takes something for a player from rival club to be loved by the fans of the other clubs. Respect Wrighty
I could listen to Ian Wright talk about football all day long... Pure passion for the game
All identical hangers. I appreciate that a lot
Damn !! Ian Wright you are so passionate about the game of football and his history this is just pure love to watch and listen you , Cheers from France
Wrighty so watchable down to earth and funny
Wrighty nerding right out. Understandable too. Idk how I missed this.
Love Wright man. Absolute hero of mine couldn't believe when he came to Celtic. Dark times for the club but still we loved him and I think he eventually grew to love the club.
What a legend of the game. Loved the story he told about meeting Henrick Larsson!
Ian please visit Celtic park when the footballs back we still love you 🍀🏴🏴💚
i was at celtic park on holiday, i saw the game vs Hearts and it was amazong! Kepp it up !

@@Daniel-cp4bd league 1 did i hit a raw nerve
What a guy. You can't not like Wrighty!
What a guy! So much natural passion for the game. From a die hard Spurs fan.
I've slyly been collecting old Nike Arsenal GK kits since they got the best designs, they're too sick 👌🏾🔥 I wish that fabled 20th anniversary kit dropped, but hopefully after the Adi deal, they'll get back to the sick Nike kits.
Holy shit it's the chicken connoisseur 😂😳
Ian I love the way you are so close to Arsenal ... Unfortunately I’m to young to have seen you play football for us but I educated myself along the way ... Much love and appreciation from Romania ... Gonner for life !!!
Sorry wrong tipping ... Gooner...😂
All the way from SA, appreciating this video!! Legend you are Wrighty, what classics you get to hold and the stories that go along with them....The Gunners jackets you and the mates have on are epic too!!
Legendary talk here, Wrighty has so many witty stories, I could watch this for hours.
7:26 Celtic loves you.
Ian Wright is such a legend
Even though he was at Celtic at arguably the worst period of the club in the last 22 years still luvs celtic 🙂 legend
I recall him calling the celtic fans reptiles if I'm not mistaken
@@sookmajoaby the few who cheered mark viduka outside after he downed tools at half time in the Inverness game
Look up the word Legend in the dictionary and it references this man - FACT - My all time favourite arsenal player and i've been supporting them since the 70's
So glad to see this video on my suggestions. Had no idea Wrighty had a RUclips channel. Love the guy to bits, one of my heroes in life. Immense respect for him.
Such a humble man.
What a great idea and concept. Watching this video was like going to a football museum. Ian Wright is a legend.

Loved the video Ian. Real walk down memory lane. Thanks for all your efforts for England (when people actually cared) you're a great bloke and pundit, I'm pleased I've had the opportunity to tell you mate. Man Utd fan.
It's so refreshing seeing someone genuinely passionate about something :)
Massive respect to Football Shirts Warehouse!! We love shopping from the them. Their Warehouse is like a museum!! Big Wrighty you're a legend and love the "Bruised Banana Kit" that was epic era of Arsenal's dominance. Love this video. Great link up!! Wishing everyone good health and stay safe.
I was wondering whether it was a museum or a shop....the shirts must costa fortune!!!!!!
They do cost a bomb@@TheKatLou
The skill, the passion, the knowledge, the wisdom, the humility..Ian Wright.
That's the most unreal thing I've ever seen!
Gazza "just gis it straight back" 😂🤣😂🤣👌
My Birthday present. Watching Wrighty and some beautiful shirts - preaching love.
I became a Gunners fan because of Mr. Wright!!!!! Peace and Blessings from St. Louis.
I always loved the heart he had when it came to playing for England or the game in general..great player from a spurs supporter!
Wow what an accolade from our greatest rivals, you had some dam good players yourself though!
Cheers, thanks for the smile we need these more than ever.
What a collection. I could honestly listen to Ian talk about football for hours on end!
This is brilliant content, think Wrighty should collab with these guys long term and have ex players come in and talk about their fav shirts, memories etc I know BT Sport have feature similar.
Absolutely, great content, please hit his like button and start a movement!
I was born in the mid-90s so it hurts me to say that I never really followed you career or knew about just how successful and all around cool guy you were Ian. Hell, even those who looked up to you and are considered your heirs and successors such as Thierry and Van Persie were in their prime when I was still pretty young. So it's awesome for you to bring out content and memories like this because I get to relive some of these moments you're talking about thanks to old recordings and youtube.
He knows his stuff and he is like a kid in a SWEET SHOP....
Love it....👍
That Arsenal team that Wright was a part of could wear any kit and it would look good.
- From a long time Juventus fan
I absolutely loved this video. Hearing all the stories about the shirts and your love of some of the players was amazing.
Could watch this forever, love all these old kits and Ian is just such an absolute legend
Love Ian, was immense when I was a kid. From a Villa fan, pure legend with Shearer, Seaman, Beckham, Andy Cole, Gazza, Great ex players
