Classic Lizardman noob mistake: recruiting Skink Cohorts over Skink with Javelins. They're the exact same unit but Javelins have the missile attack and slightly more expensive upkeep.
I thought the Javelin ammo was so limited as to be almost not worth it? Idk I feel like I always run out of ammo with them so quickly. Edit: I just realized you were talking about javelin instead of regular cohorts rather than instead of skink skirmishers. I couldn't tell on the unit cards until I watched in full screen.
Just playing a Tehenuin campaign, im so surprised that this player didn't get into a deathwar with skrolk from turn 3. In my game we had fullblown war the moment we met.
SILLY SOTEK! I love playing Tehenhauin. My usual tactics: Destroy Skrolk asap, confederate Oxyotl asap to gain access to Skink Oracles, scam the french on the north east coast, get free buildings, build the buildings to get high rank heroes, spam high level slann and use them to troll the dark elves and markus, launch an invasion to france and farm ikit claw for the defeat trait, also launch an invasion to kairos.
Sacrifices for the Sacrefice throne! There can only be Total War against Skaven! No diplomacy, only War! More Sacrifices! Oh Tehenhauin, why are your eyes so red? And oh Tehenhauin why does a Skink like you have a big horn growing out of your skull?
I'm surprised Skrolk is even alive this far into the campaign. Taking him out as soon as you possibly can is paramount for a successful Cult of Sotek game! Skaven have too big of an advantage in the jungle (shouldn't that be the Lizardmen?) due to Underway stance - you can't leave them alive or they will overwhelm you come mid-game.
Considering it's already turn 30 not much seemed to have been done in that campaign, or at least have been a "1 step forward,1 step back kind of situation", where the player could not or did not press their advantage and hold new territory for long. Maybe they sent their army down to try and help Oxyotl in the wasteland early on and then Kairos flipped the players settlements to Oxyotl or some enemy, while losing way too much time in unfavorable climate?
@@adriankoch964 Having recently played a Sotek Campaign... Fighting Skrolk normally happens in the first couple of turns, even? Isn't he legit right next to you? Very odd he is still alive
