Very wise analysis. It definitely is hard to measure managers accurately. There's no advanced stats that I know of. Best to just enjoy the baseball. None of us can control it.

Let me guess... White Sox offered Venable more money.

Whomever they hire has big shoes to fill, post Schumaker. Pretty hard to argue that wasn't a home run hire. Too bad it didn't work out.

well it did but that isn't what the owner wants. The owner makes more money from luxury tax money and in keeping payroll extremely low. Sherman owns the Marlins because he makes profits out the wazoo. Winning is upsetting the profit applecart....Sherman needs to go, PERIOD

I don’t know why they’re not not looking at Charlie Montoyo. He was with the rays and player development for years and was the bench coach there. Then he managed the Toronto Blue Jays and John Schneider has yet to come close to Montoyo’s record. Unfortunately, he got picked up by the White Sox as bench coach, but can’t hold that against him because Grifol has an ego that doesn’t allow for anyone else’s opinion or advice. The players he’s developed through the years are loyal to him and love him. He always had a stable clubhouse. He would be a great person to be part of that bench to help develop that team and make it cohesive.

Not a fan of Albernaz. Not enough managerial experience especially since he never made it to the majors as a player. Plus i think his height is a negative as most of the players will tower over him. Low salary and experience with Rays got him the job. This will never work. Luckily Bruce is 76 so he hopefully won't be around much longer.
