Explaining New Wave of Miami Marlins Front Office Firings | FOF LIVE
Dodger fan here. Wish him nothing but the best & success! Just not against my Dodgers please. We appreciate his time with the Dodgers 🫡
It is so frustrating to hear Peter Bendix address the public. He may be very good at his job (only time will tell), but when he starts talking, you just want to roll your eyes because you know he's not going to directly answer the question. It just doesn't come across as authentic.
You don’t even know what he can and cannot say. It’s a reason people go through media training. He’s an executive who can only say so much. Kim Ng never said much either. It’s part of the job.
@@LuckBuck5192 oh I completely understand why.... Its just frustrating as a fan to listen to a robot.
The narrative will change when they win nobody cares about anything else
Go Marlins
He's dancing right now as he has no legacy. Give him a chance to build something.
snake
He’s definitely gonna fail horrible franchise
Atleast he’s spending money.
Bro first baseman to manger - I wish the best for you sir. -
FOF you guys need mods seriously man how do you guys not take care of this idiot above me who is acting like a negative Nancy
Good choice. Let's Go Fish!
I need to learn how to answer questions like Bendix. Every answer leaves me with more Questions
Vidal brujan es el mejor pelotero de lidon
booooooo bruce sherman
I hate Bruce and Bendix so much they are both so full of crap. They can't be gone from the team soon enough. This team will never be anything as long as they are around.
Dude how is Bendix crap it’s Sherman who is crap. Bendix is the reason why our farm is so good you want to us to fail and have a bad farm and not do well? That’s how winning teams succeed look at the dodgers and Astros who had bad farms and now are good so really it’s more on Sherman because Bendix is making good moves and getting some good young pieces. So have faith man don’t be a negative Nancy if you are so pissed about the marlins be a Phillies fan then if you hate them that much. Bendix is gonna build a contender in a couple years and you think he’s crap you clearly have not seen how the rays have been with their farm by trading off players and building a good conveyer belt of young talent. STHU I’ve seen baseball for almost 10 years and I disagree with you 1000%. You saying that makes you sound like an annoying kid. We true and loyal marlins fans don’t give a shit about what you say. Dude I would rather have Sherman as owner then John Fisher or Loria who have both destroyed the expos and the A’s L TAKE TOMMY HILLFIGURE.
bendix just got here. lets give him time. sherman yes is bs, need him gone
@@moneyman4lyfe391 I agree man idk why he thinks Bendix is crap when our farm system is like almost Top 10 and he does make good trades and most of the hitters he’s gotten have been HR picks.
Bendix is one of the reasons that the rays were so good look how the first year he leaves them they got dramatically worse he’s only been here for a year after this year sure criticize him all you want but under the circumstances of him going if say he’s done a good job being under the poorest owner in American pro sports
You shut the hell up. I've been a fan since this team started and I am entitled to my own opinions. Last year I stopped watching like many fans. Rebuild after rebuild and with these clowns and they will stay in a constant rebuild year after year. Yeah the Rays way: don't spend money and trade any player as soon as they start to get expensive. By the way how many world series win do the Rays have?Constantly trading players and keeping a low payroll is not conducive to having a fan base. Like the Rays the Marlins fan base will never grow as fans love to have PLAYERS to root for not just the team. Bendix as GM he did what he was told for the Rays. He wasn't in charge. The trades he made this year added depth to make the team have a mid tier minor league system. He took quantity over quality. They are going to play guys out of the position because of lack of talent. Edwards is not a SS, Ramirez is not a C, Norby is not a 3B but they will play them out of position. The defense will be bad and the players will probably struggle with hitting due to their confidence taking a hit from playing badly out of their natural position. This year when they trade Luzardo, Sandy, Cabrera and others and they lose 100 plus games again are you going to be just that's fine we are in a rebuild? After the way they approached last offseason I stopped watching baseball altogether and I'm not buying any merch either. I don't jump my fandom from one team to another it's one team or no team. I'm am tired of this team who has an owner who only cares about profits not winning.
I like him he is very nice and a chill dude
Hi
RIP
Troy Johnson is a goat
I don’t know why they’re not not looking at Charlie Montoyo. He was with the rays and player development for years and was the bench coach there. Then he managed the Toronto Blue Jays and John Schneider has yet to come close to Montoyo’s record. Unfortunately, he got picked up by the White Sox as bench coach, but can’t hold that against him because Grifol has an ego that doesn’t allow for anyone else’s opinion or advice. The players he’s developed through the years are loyal to him and love him. He always had a stable clubhouse. He would be a great person to be part of that bench to help develop that team and make it cohesive.
Not a fan of Albernaz. Not enough managerial experience especially since he never made it to the majors as a player. Plus i think his height is a negative as most of the players will tower over him. Low salary and experience with Rays got him the job. This will never work. Luckily Bruce is 76 so he hopefully won't be around much longer.
Very wise analysis. It definitely is hard to measure managers accurately. There's no advanced stats that I know of. Best to just enjoy the baseball. None of us can control it.
Let me guess... White Sox offered Venable more money.
Whomever they hire has big shoes to fill, post Schumaker. Pretty hard to argue that wasn't a home run hire. Too bad it didn't work out.
well it did but that isn't what the owner wants. The owner makes more money from luxury tax money and in keeping payroll extremely low. Sherman owns the Marlins because he makes profits out the wazoo. Winning is upsetting the profit applecart....Sherman needs to go, PERIOD
I don’t know why they’re not looking at adding Charlie Montoyo to their bench. With the Rays for years, one of the best player development guys, took the Blue Jays to the playoffs, and John Schneider has never matched his record since he took over. He would be a great addition to that team.
Was Skip or Mattingly bi-lingual? Never thought of that before, but great point.
Nakken for bench coach, maybe?
As a kid rangers fan, David freese was Satan 😂
Great series. Hope to see more from the team in the future!
Really liking that intro music
Hey other than andrew salas does the marlins close to any other name in the international draft
They have deals in place to sign about 12-15 players when the new signing period begins on January 15. Salas is the getting the biggest bonus of the group.
Well done, gentlemen! Thanks for all the work keeping us updated.
Y’all 🐐🐐. Can’t wait for your coverage of the 2025 Marlins season!
Great show gentleman. Happy to see the minors back in rotation again. Here’s to more great content in the future 🙌🏾
Love showing the logo for the level that you're talking about
Glad somebody actually noticed (and appreciated) that 😅
F-U Bruce! Hope the worst karma comes to your POS ass! SELL THE TEAM, YOU SCUMBAG PRICK
Only 90-92? That is lackluster. Isn't he supposed to be high 90s?
Yeah 😬...That is going to be the main thing to monitor from him the rest of this month.
The 😎 🆒️ cool Mr. Freese!
Albies and Swanson comparisons are encouraging.
An improvement but if the ABS can get the ball/strike call without a challenge just have them call it right away
He's a 2B just like Otto Lopez and Connor Norby. It's either him or no one. They don't have a SS in their system.
Ely, this was fantastic. Thank you for putting this together. Some of your best work.
Thank you Bradley for coming on and saying something people truly want to hear! I work in college baseball right now and this has changed my outlook and thought process. Thanks!
Very insightful interview. Great questions and a great conversation. Thanks for sharing!
This was an amazing interview. I would like to hear more about why he was let go. Bradley seems very intelligent and has passion for baseball analytics and the Marlins. He sure seems like the kind of guy Peter Bendix would want around. I can't wait to check out his channel.
Great episode! A lot of great behind the scenes info here
awesome pod/guest! really insightful holy moly
I understand his comments about Marlins fans and agree. Much easier to be a fan of powerhouse teams or one with a long legacy. Expos fans were abased after being clubbed over the head for years. Look at their 1980s attendance before badmouthing Montréal. Underdog teams are way more fun.
I like his reinforcement of the process of building a pipeline of talent. That's it! Identifying talent and developing talent cannot be separated. I beat the proverbial dead horse that the Expos were the epitome of this in the pre-analytics era. Just a spigot of talent.
Peter and Bruce are SCUM! Hope Bruce croaks, so he can’t SCREW US FANS any more and we can get a REAL OWNER! F- this crap! SPEND! Keep our stars! B.s
Don’t go. Let him talk to one person.
