Looking at the experience of the teams, England's registered members have a total of 711 caps, while Japan has only 267. Japanese rugby team are currently working hard to develop young talent. That's why we have so many players with few caps. If we divide 80 minutes into 4 quarters, Japan has the power to fight against tier 1 teams for 20 minutes. However, the remaining 60 minutes are completely powerless against the opposing team. In the remaining 3 years, we will have to acquire the fitness and discipline to fight the rest 3/4. We're grateful to Eddie for taking on the challenge of developing young players, which someone will have to shoulder someday.
It’s not a fitness issue. It’s a power issue and Japan have a lot of foreign born bigger players in that side right now. They are simply not physical enough. The second key point is the Japanese top league is obviously miles off the European club rugby. Japan need to get as many tier 1 players as they can playing in Europe like Saito for Toulouse.
I feel like they have a big problem defensively. I also feel that they have physical challenges as well. However, if they can improve this, they can expect considerable growth.
It still wasn’t a great display to be brutally honest. Defense was still a problem. The cross kick isn’t good enough and the only play we seem to have and we are only using force to score with the forwards. As we saw against stronger opposition, that doesn’t work. I was hoping for a solid display from the backs but this is a plaster over a bigger issue that Borthwick can’t fix before the 6N.
The defence still looks like it really, really isn’t at the level it needs to be The attack here was mostly physical force … works vs Japan, not vs SA Overall, looks slow, static and with more holes than your average sieve available for a side that can attack them Win, yep Result, change, step forward etc, not really from what I saw here
Japan cannot handle raw power and physicality of the top ten teams atm. I don’t know where they go from here because they have drafted in a lot of bigger foreign born players. Their fast paced game isn’t working cause teams man handle them in the collisions and they can’t tackle well.
I'm sorry, you lost 5 games in a row, a few of them pretty close calls. Normally you take such an oppenent as a ressurrection and send him home 72:6. Way to easy trys for the Japanese.
England belongs in the top 3 best rugby nations, the players have talent but led by a wrong coach! 2025 will be the year England makes a strong comeback and beat the likes of ABs, Ireland and sprinboks
@@khayelihlemngoma2393if you were a strongest team then explain why the Springboks have 2 losses in 2024. One when Ireland obliterated them in their own backyard
And it's not unfair to continue to notice that our attempts at flair are far too regimental and reliant upon defensive weaknesses. Oh when will we learn to be free playing 🤦🙄🤔🤔🤔💥
England made to look good against a Japanese team the weakest ever that would struggle to even beat a NZ local team or a South African Currie cup team.
Can’t believe the crowd. England plays a team halve their size. It’s like watching a university team beating a high school team and the crowed go crazy.
Not sure why people are disappointed with Japan’s regression, the majority of their country probably still don’t know this sport exists. They’re a football and baseball nation
It’s not unfair to say Japan has slipped.
They took Eddie back
Shame England.
At least you got the win.
Is Eddie safe again.
Eddie working his magic.
Most teams slip with Eddie and it happens faster now days without the initial bounce
They were getting to the point that I WISHED All Blacks would break through the stadium doors and helped them out! 😕

I feel like Japan has actually regressed. This was supposed to be where Argentina is right now judging on their 2015 performance
They dont match up well against direct physical teams like england
a lot of the experienced vets from 2019 have retired. japan is rebuilding rn but it's gf are to find talent.
The policy of speed is rather killing their intensity.
Japan might need to start eating more. A little light in the scrum
Sleighthome and Furbanks tries were incredible.
Japan scored the best try..
Always admire this 13 Japan style of play ever since he join the comp. World class indeed.
Japan need a game against Wales
The eddie jones effect
I feel like they have a big problem defensively.
I also feel that they have physical challenges as well.

Wow ...England has a win.. Must be the best team in the world.....
always....in their minds anyway.
That was rough.
Surely the King had a word with them after the 5 losses.
Finally someone who looks like a winger, Tom Roebuck
Impresionante como cayó Japón, en el 2019 parecía que se comían el mundo, ahora pierde por goleada contra el equipo B o C de Inglaterra.
Japan is very technically efficient but once a team gets on top of them physically the brave blossoms just wilts of lately.
It looks like Japan has been declining, the Japanese team from 2016-2022 feels like a distant memory. Well done England.
Très bel essai des Japonais à la 33e minute.
Well, it’s a win
First try of egland was a forward pass
That first try by Earl shoud've been overturned.. No way that pass from Marcus Smith went backward out of hand.... Clearly a forward pass
At least there is one team we can beat...

Yeah Japan looked so lost here with "Roses" everywhere all over them.

Japan ought to go 100% foreign to stand a change against tier 1 teams.
L' Angleterre est redevenue l'une des meilleures équipes du monde.
How many times have Japan played England this year? It's always a thrashing.
The Eddie Jones effect.
good game
English have won a game 🤣
Well Eddie’s jones manages to ruin another team he needs to leave coaching just a pay check now
You are aware Eddie Jones is statistically the best coach England ever had right ?
Haaaha the eddie haters dont have a clue.
He’s so far behind the play now it’s terrible he’s terrible for team culture and not coaching at this level anymore
Eddie has become like Mourinho in football. Can't last long anywhere, thrashes his players and in the end just pisses everyone off
@@enterpassword3313we do actually look at his last two team statistics terrible and analyse his team format rubbish
The joke is Japan viewed as Tier 1 😂😂😂😂
So is England😜 Japan is ranked 13 and does not compete in the big tourneys, so is Tier 2.
Japan team has become utterly rusty.
You saw what EJ did with Japan side in 2015.
But now they are rusty.

That was intense 🙆🏾♂️
After all, after long wait, the lads won beating no other than the Japanese. 😅😅
super rugby americas is the best league of rugby in America
2:58 OMG

Another win for England… against Japan 😂😂
Congrats
They celebrated. Much earned😅
Y A W N ! This is NOT how to advance rugby. It was a shtshow, one way traffic.
England the rugby equivalent of flat track bullies
Only time england can win a game is against lower tier teams.
Quel dommage pour le Japon.
It’s a win and better England but still trundle trundle 💤
Time to stop the Japan hype
Gj, you can beat Japan. 😁

Nope. 7th. You proved nothing, defeat after defeat
Did brits decide to play like french😂?
England got help by the ref for trys 😒👎embarrassing
haha, what a joke this English team can't even beat the Ozzy boys at home!!!
Winning this is like fighting a woman then pretending you're the strongest man in the world.
You're probably a Springbok fan, very typical. You're not the strongest team either. Ireland is the best one
@@its_steezy actually they are. Everything says so.

Japan played better against england than the ausies die Scotland or the Welsh against the boks
England mauled the Japanese into submission.😂😂

Stop, stop! He’s already dead. 😭
Lol only team england could beat 😂😂😂
😂 finally
England in red nails better

I don’t know about that, Smith missed another defensive assignment with flair.
@garywagner2466 after 50 years watching English rugby I would say, at most, considering the opposition, be grateful for small mercies.
Whatever ffs 🙄🤦🏻

Oh they still lost to the blacks and the wallabies.
Not sure why people are disappointed with Japan’s regression, the majority of their country probably still don’t know this sport exists. They’re a football and baseball nation
Tired of forward passes leading to tries. Maybe if the officials stopped looking for cheap yellow cards they could enforce the basics.
It's funny to see that almost all the teams start to adopt the way the springboks play...
It's a disgrace
When Japan use 100% of national players ..they will take 80 . Overrated as hell
Beating japan is ridiculous... English and welsh rugby are fucked half the english team isnt even from english hertitage its a fucking joke
A lot more heritage than Scotland/Ireland
Are you having a stroke? Call the EMTs.
After 5 defeats a win atlast suckers😂😂😂
