Have a very similar build focusing a little less on tech and more on shotgun variety. If you want true survivability. Try out defensikov + spring joints + neo fiber. You get like 90% damage reduction all the time
I feel like The Axolotl is an absolute must for these berserk builds, being able to have a pretty much infinite berserk in large crowds is just so much fun.
just rotating between berserker and bloodpump with adrenaline perk makes you already close to invincible... someone a bit twisted and over the top could maybe add axolotl and quantum tuner, just saying.
Hey! Awesome vid, but I also wanted to throw in some suggestions. Instead of Second Heart and few minor things here and there like using Basic Kiroshi, you could use a mix of Newton Module / Axolotl + Blood Pump + Biomonitor. This setup makes you basically invincible, because not only will every kill reduce the cooldown of Blood Pump, but also your Berserk / Sandevistan, giving you incredible up-time especially with Axolotl. Biomonitor will also trigger Blood Pump for you for Adrenaline Rush, so you can basically forget about healing and just concentrate on killing.
I remember testing Axolotl+Bloodpump and it not working. It seems to only be considered as a healing item and not cyberware. I forget if this was 2.0 or 2.01 though.
i recently realized something lovely: -deserter proc microgenerator on every shot -deserter deals damage to yourself -shock n awe have a chance to blow up everytime you take damage -shock n awe proc the pyromania perk (tech tree stacking bonus for grenade hits) -microgenerator proc the pyromania perk too -enjoy permanent 50% mitigation chances -??? -profit edit: i need further testing to see if shock n awe has a chance to proc on every tick of a damage over time effect or if it only has a chance on initial application.
Dude i did a katana build on the new patch and it's absolutly broken. The very hard difficulty is a cake walk now. Crazy... hope there are new challenge runs in the future😊
ya katanas specifically are broken af. switch to mantis or machete and its too slow. especially with ticking time bomb and shock n awe, you literally just spam F on everyone.
Similar build with pyromania and Dezerter/explosive chimera mod can be pretty invincible with the mitigation buff that pyromania perks give you. That plus blood pump, axolotl, sandy made my build insanely powerful. if you get Microgenerators (EMP after reload), Shock-N-Awe (EMP on self damage) and Painducer (convert 30% damage to damage over time, each tick can proc Shock-N-Awe EMP) you're nearly constantly building pyromania stacks in combat, which also constantly reloads the Projectile Launcher/grenades
I'm working on the same kind of build myself purely because I love the new iconic tech shotgun so much. Biggest difference is that I went with cool instead of intelligence just for the bonus crit damage. I'm also messing around with the launch system instead of melee but might try out melee too.
Achilles and Satara were my favorite weapons in 1.6. I decided to do this almost exact build for 2.0, except I stick using quake with gorilla arms as my opener then pull out the Satara until quake is back up.
You can finish the ba-xing-Chong reload animation early by throwing a grenade, which you can have an infinite amount of with the burn this city perk. This creates enough explosions for a constant 5+ pyromania stacks.
I'm playing a 20 body character that is leaning into the shotguns and LMG's, it destroys everything. I found a tier 5 LMG with a mod slot and filled it with the new firecracker mod to give it explosive rounds.. that and the perk that refills your mag with LMG's per kill is insane. I'll clear an entire room and my mag will be only missing 3-8 shots...
I honestly can't imagine making any kind of build in this game that doesn't include dashing. It reminds me of when you could stack Kerenzikov dodges to build up ludicrous amounts of speed and preserve it by b-hopping, except much easier to control. At least 15 Reflex and Reinforced Tendons for double jump gives so much mobility that you can get pretty much wherever you want really fast. Now that I have this power, I can't go back to walking.
I did a build with the same idea in mind, and it's just too much fun, I can hop around and shot people with guts (my fav weapon in the game, btw it says it's a shotgun, but in reality it's a melee weapon with bullets), also idk if this is common knowledge, but you can sort of k-hop with the new dash ability (my main way to approach enemies) by jumping at the start of the dash, realluy useful and fun, especially with double jump
Using Microgenerator with Shotguns also procs Pyromania btw, might be worth looking into for tuning your build for Smart Shotguns or trying out that Spinetickler Tech mod Combine that with Shock-n-Awe cyberware, Ticking Time Bomb perk, Edgerunner perk, and max Engineer skill EMP Fury proc and you become a deadly EMP shockwave! Edit: Now that I think about it, the Dezerter procs Pyromania too, this might actually be an insane combo with all the EMP procs too
I filled cool to 15 and specced into sniper... the five 0 is absolutely insane as is the new tech sniper rifle from Alexs basement that fires 3 explosion rounds at once
Beautiful timing, I swapped from my old character (pure netrunner) that I played back on launch, and decided to go complete opposite: shotguns The tech shotguns became my favorite weapon by far, and I love how easy it is to get early
I love the fact they upped the level cap, now all you have to consider is if you wanna quick hack or not, because if you just leave intelligence blank you can get the other 3 to level 20 and the 4th to level 18
With the perk that increases your cyberware capacity, isn't it better to go 9 int 9 cool for a little more that could happen to get one more cyberware? Nice video as always!
In my experience with the smart shotguns, they're used as head shot tools now. Not worth aiming from the waist. You have to make all the bullets land on the target's head. So I ended up just swapping them for the ashura.
Bio monitor is really nice too especially for a body build. You get automatically healed and you get the mitigation boost from health items ) forget what perk )
Great build; I switched from brawling to shotgunning as the back-up build to my netrunner. The Techshottie's great for spot removal and it utterly melts bosses with all the debuffs that can be stacked on them by Quick Hacks.
Could you do a "beating cyberpunk with no cyberware"? Now that we have the "chrome capacity" OS you can truly play with no enhancements at all. This would alsp mean minimal armor (only obtained through clothing), but i think you are right for the challenge

I still think that throwing knives build is OP AF even with revamp. I have my female V which took me almost 100hrs of grind because I didn't want to do any quests at all except act I because I had to to unlock some progress/item spawn etc. I run with sandy. Good thing to do is to max out each independent "skill" level, with every single of them you get some nice benefits and 10 free perk points combined all of them. 3 throwing knives tier 5++ - stinger, blue fang, headhunter, heavy investment in cool, almost guaranteed poisoning, after each elimination sandy refills so when you play your cards right you get build dealing 2k+ DMG per headshot with knives and almost "unlimited sandy", optical camo also refills. I remember I had hard time with saka tower with johnny on 1.6 with guns build but I guess that right now I'll be better off with throwing knives. I really look forward for don't fear the reaper with this build on very hard. When I played on 1.6 I thought blades/knives were meh but right now I changed my mind :D
I cant remember the name of it but Ive been using the new cyberware that increases sprint speed by 60% at sprints start with the air dash ability, its so fast
Great vid. I always enjoy your builds...I did a sandi shotgun build and used sovereign for the most part of my playthrough. It was very strong vs maxtac on very hard, but honestly I feel like shotguns are very strong in general rn. It has been the easiest build I have played so far. Especially early on in my playthrough. You are pretty set after getting 15 body will all the shotgun perks (minus malee shotgun perks) and 15 reflex for air dash. Everything else is just a nice bonus.
I think I am going to make a berserk build next. Probably the bat/gorilla arm and lean into explosive for a little bit of range. Maybe the projectile launcher instead of gorilla arms, but I haven't been impressed with the projectile launcher in 2.0, but I probably just haven't built for it.

I want a Dark Phoenix Build, where it’s all quick hacks, and nothing else- maybe use inferno grenades.. My Sentry build will be Dark Phoenix + Black Wall + Suic1d3 + 5+ Reboot

Feel mixed on Obliterate. Never seems to proc, or when it does its either an enemy you could one-tap or when they have like a pixel of health left. Same with the Quick melee gimmick. It mostly just seems to get me in a loop of canceling my reloads or breaking my Sandy.
Fair, still doesn't seem super great at that. With the listed percentages and number of hits from shotguns and LMGS it feels like it should be more common. Also pretty sure blood pump out heals bounceback, though it does cost a cyberware slot. Blood pump, Biomonitor, full adrenaline feels like near-invulnerability in most situations. Weirdly, random dude with a knife becomes more threatening than 3 guys with SMGs.
The reason the smart shotguns didnt work for you is because you didnt pair it with overclock and the other perks therein. You probably would have needed to let go of the melee perks and the other tech perks to ensure you are able to fully utilize it but my full smart weapon hacker is a monster. Especially with full body, overclock on this character would be insane but almost too good because you would likely just kill everyone with quickhacks lol
It's so sad. My op af tech shotgun build is no more. You used to be able to very specifically tailor your skill tree such that you could use the shop reset glitch with the Maelstrom shop guy to get legendary Sataras with the "secret" augment line, 1 of which was 50% decreased charged time. With the correct build, you could literally have a tech shotgun with a 0.0s charge time, meaning it would fire instantly if you just took off that one perk. But I guess now we have to play fair... sigh...
@@abrahamsandwich I actually messed up my the build by the end of the playthru by having TOO MUCH reduction in charge time, which caused the charge time to reset to default, which actually made just a pure damage augment more potent. Not sure which is technically better, but the instant shot tech shotgun was definitely more fun.
challenge idea: very hard mode with zero deaths, no save scumming, essentially hardcore mode, max survivability, and prob limit yourself to no netrunner builds, although you get caught as netrunner and youre just dead

I feel like the new 2.0 skill tree should be addition not a replacement , anything but sandevistan with byakko is subpar , really , guns dont have enough damage to clear groups especially since the amount of armor you have is decreased , honestly i dont like new 2.0 skill tree , its trash , you have to get like lvl 9,15,20 to acces top tier skills , couldnt they do like 1 top tier skill with 18 , 2 with 19 and all with 20 it would make much more sense , smasher STILL doesnt have a sandevistan , and fighting max tac is more fun and challenging , giving few actives over fun passives is disheartening .Waiting till someone mods all of old skills back to the game so you get the good of both sides , have yet to play on hardcore mod , i think it could be a live changer with new skill tree , so enemies stop being bullet sponges but you get oneshot with one mistake , should be fun

@@Boshea241 Blood Pump does work with Axolotl, as it is treated as a Cyberware. I am using it in my current Berserk playthrough.

The xmod baseball bat is insane with the chimera core mod. You basically insta kill every enemy while being immortal in beserk. Its hilarious.

I really prefer the Sandevistan for the breech-loading shotguns, Apogee increases the DPS to ludicrous levels.
You can block and still crouch sprint for the shinobi sprint which works with the 40% less damage taken during block in the body tree

Even with the perk that helps I find that hitting the timing for the Bolt ability on tech weapons on each shot is pretty difficult
I find getting used to a weapon and using it a lot helps!

The reason the smart shotguns didnt work for you is because you didnt pair it with overclock and the other perks therein. You probably would have needed to let go of the melee perks and the other tech perks to ensure you are able to fully utilize it but my full smart weapon hacker is a monster.
Especially with full body, overclock on this character would be insane but almost too good because you would likely just kill everyone with quickhacks lol

It's so sad. My op af tech shotgun build is no more. You used to be able to very specifically tailor your skill tree such that you could use the shop reset glitch with the Maelstrom shop guy to get legendary Sataras with the "secret" augment line, 1 of which was 50% decreased charged time. With the correct build, you could literally have a tech shotgun with a 0.0s charge time, meaning it would fire instantly if you just took off that one perk. But I guess now we have to play fair... sigh...

@@abrahamsandwich I actually messed up my the build by the end of the playthru by having TOO MUCH reduction in charge time, which caused the charge time to reset to default, which actually made just a pure damage augment more potent. Not sure which is technically better, but the instant shot tech shotgun was definitely more fun.

Smart shottys feel so disappointing
challenge idea: very hard mode with zero deaths, no save scumming, essentially hardcore mode, max survivability, and prob limit yourself to no netrunner builds, although you get caught as netrunner and youre just dead

I feel like the new 2.0 skill tree should be addition not a replacement , anything but sandevistan with byakko is subpar , really , guns dont have enough damage to clear groups especially since the amount of armor you have is decreased , honestly i dont like new 2.0 skill tree , its trash , you have to get like lvl 9,15,20 to acces top tier skills , couldnt they do like 1 top tier skill with 18 , 2 with 19 and all with 20 it would make much more sense , smasher STILL doesnt have a sandevistan , and fighting max tac is more fun and challenging , giving few actives over fun passives is disheartening .Waiting till someone mods all of old skills back to the game so you get the good of both sides , have yet to play on hardcore mod , i think it could be a live changer with new skill tree , so enemies stop being bullet sponges but you get oneshot with one mistake , should be fun

Sniper rifles and silenced pistols are still good if you dump points into the tree for them.
