It's come to my attention that the Cyberpunk Wiki has updated David's Sandevistan as the Militech Apogee! Granted it's never exclusively mentioned anywhere it's the one he uses and I've seen updated sources saying it is and isn't, we'll just go with majority opinion for now so people can stop complaining 😂
To everyone's knowledge before Phantom Liberty David used either the Militech Falcon or the Qiant Warp Dancer, which all of the Wiki's said. At the end of the day we're here to make fun and broken builds for people to take advantage of 🤘

The Militech Apogee is most likely the actual canonic sandevistan David used.
Not only because the colors match better, but also due to its icon variant's file name in the game files being **cw_system_sandevistanedgerunner**

I’ve been looking for a good David build that mixed his pretty unorthodox set of equipment for a while. That second build you showed is definitely the most unique setup I’ve seen and I find myself excited to put it together and get a feel for it. Thank you

What I want more than a David Martinez build is a new Cyberpunk game where you play as Adam Smasher throughout the years. And I do mean the events of Edge Runners, which also includes the battle with Martinez himself.
Would be a wild game tbh
sounds good but the story would prolly be boring and it would get very repetetive. rather have a game set a few years after 2077 with a new story.
I'd rather get a Morgan Blackhand game.
But the problem with either of those games would be lack of build and playstyle variety as these characters are known for using certain methods, weapons, mods etc. Basically just puts alot of restrictions when it comes to the role-playing elements of the game l.

I was already doing a build like yours. I wasnt sure it would work out. Going for 20 tech and 20 body. I am using shotgun, sword and throwing knife. Because i dont always want to make noise...but frankly its annoying because most of the time i get 1-2 kill in, and i get seen by a camera or someone. So might as well just go full on Terminator, drop the throwing knife.
But i am keeping the katana. Its my boss killer. I will use revolver, shotgun and swords.

Im using some David Martinez style builds similar to this. This is my first playthrough ever of Cyberpunk 2077 and around level 35 I felt comfortable enough to put the game level up to very hard because these builds just rip.
Im working on a tech sniper build and its so much fun its trick at times but so rewarding takings down cyber psychos with a charged shot and with the new cyberwere it really brings it to a whole new level
Tech weapons can be wild with the right build for sure!

I personally like Widowmaker and Lizzie Iconic weapons!

The most David build I've seen. Most videos out there focus too much on melee. People forget David used weapons occasionally, especially early on when he joined the gang.
Appreciate it! Lot of people were upset about the Smart Weapon thing since he uses them quite often, but they feel so underwhelming in comparison to these builds. Will be making Top 5 weapon type videos soon 👀

I hope in the next game you can double up on the arm cybernetics. Like gorilla arms + projectile launcher, gorilla arms + mantis blades, gorilla arms + monowire, mantis blades + monowire, monowire + projectile launcher

I'm still trying to figure this out, do the Microrotors actually provide a benefit to the Gorilla Arms' attack speed? Because it stipulates that *"Melee attack speed cannot exceed 2 attacks per second"* and Gorilla Arms already have an attack speed of 2.14.
I don't think the Microrotors actually increase your Gorilla Arms' attack speed, so you might just be better off chipping something else.
I'm not sure that's not the attack speed works since katanas can have ~5 attack speed on their stats and those can be effected by Microrotors. I'll test to confirm everything across the board
I know this video is 2 weeks old, but as a first time player without dlc, which one should i try first? The gorilla arms seem awesome but do does a rocket on your arm! I cant decide!
If you want to to more stealth with sandy go with Gorilla Arms, but if you want to go in loud def go with Projectile Launch System

@@itsdavetvYT ah sorry I didn’t see that. Melee sandy builds are fun to use. Even though apogee sandy is clearly better, I’m sticking with the falcon because that was my go to sandy pre 2.0 and I guess I want to stay “loyal” lol

Instead of Self-ICE, what about the quantum tuner? It'll let you use the sandy and other abilities way more than normal.
I don't even have a sandy, and I use it in a netruner build. I can spam my kerenzikov like 8 times in a row during a fight, just hacking and shooting everyone with a smart gun. I can even spam overclock like 4 times if I wanted for quick healing and/or more hacks.

Quick question, at the attribute screen, where would you dump your points into? Cuz looking at all these guides, none of them explain where exactly you should dump your starter points From a scale of 1 to 6 when you're customizing your character & About to boot up the campaign.
I would do Tech, Body and then Reflexes or Cool depending on what type of weapons you want to use!

For newton module can't you replace it with Axolotl? It gives you more cooldown.

You can if you have the capacity go ahead and use it! With all of the cooldowns you get from other Cyberware and Perks I didn’t see a need for it, plus I was taking advantage of the perk that gives bonuses when you have every Cyberware slot filled

If nothing else the Apogee has a 10 second faster cool down too.
Yes, but that doesn't matter since 1) you get increased time per kill for both Sandys and 2) Newton Module (or Iconic Axololt) Cyberware cools down the sandy ever more per kill. You can have very high uptime and cooldown for both

Is there a way to upgrade iconics or do you need to wait to pick them up till max level?
Go to Crafting in your inventory, then press Upgrades at the top. Basically as long as you have the materials you can craft anything up to Tier 5++

From watching the show, I would say David Martinez had the double jump because there’s one scene where he jumps over a guy and blast them

@@Bob53019no, fortified ankles is the charged jump. When he jumps over the guy with the hammer he doesn’t double jump, he does a single very large jump, which you can achieve with fortified ankles. Double jump is the tendon one, and doesn’t make you jump any higher, just jump twice.

How do you boost your cyberwear capacity ive got all the skills but im not 308 in 254?
Spec into the middle tree perks under Tech, specially Edgerunners which allows you to go 50 over your current capacity and boosting your Engineer Skill Progression also gives some small bonuses
Before the update, I could make the waiting time slow down by three seconds, but now how much can I reduce the waiting time?
It’s a lot harder to do with a regular sandy, but with the Militech Falcon and Apogee they can be activated and deactivated at will 👍
@@itsdavetvYTand with the Axolotl cyberware you can pretty much constantly be in a Sandy state as long as you're using it to kill enemies
Everyone wants to use the gorilla arms but forget that his mai thing besides the sandy is maynes projectile launcher like i get he has both bjt if i had to choose the projectile launcher seems more fun ngl

Probably the Oracle optics, highlights cams, explosives and enemies through walls
Trying to figure out how you ended up with 5 more perk points than me. I have a few skill progressions to cap off but none that mention additional perk points.
He has phantom liberty, it increases points
Some enemies randomly drop perk shards, plus I’ve don’t every NCPD, Gig, etc. so I’ve almost maxed out how many points I can get anyway
Strange not to go min of 9 in every stat for boost to cyber cap
Other than that these are nice builds. I dont use pistols so I drop cool except for movement/reloading etc and just rely on my rockets at range and my shotty in slo-mo to clean up
I understand your going for a lore accurate build tho, you just said to say if people run alternates.
In mine boost int to 9 (no perks just for cyber cap), get cool movement perks but thats it, then shottie in body and middle tree like yours (no melee) and then everything in tech basically, tech shotties and rockets for days.
I personally go tech 20 first then body but it can build up any number of ways
That's the beauty of this game, literally everything can be effective if built properly

you can, just would have to take away 10 attribute points and move some perk points around! Would keep Tech at 20, then cater whether you want 20 Body or Cool depending on weapons

He does, but now that it’s not needed to use the Projectile Launcher effectively you can replace it 👍

@@Bob53019 🤦🏽♂️ it’s a smart targeting cyberware, the smart targeting helps the launcher track its target. Pre patch 2.0 it says using smart link with projectile launcher is recommended on the cyberware, if it doesn’t say it on there no 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

It’s from the Phantom Liberty DLC! You’ll use it a few times for the main missions Abs a few side missions, but overall you don’t use it much

from where or how do you even get all of this cyberware
cyberware is mostly just gated by general progression. By lvl 40 you'll be able to buy all the top tier stuff -- or you can buy lower level stuff on the way and upgrade it.
What Ripperdoc should I go too. To get the best parts?
Most sell similar parts, but a few sell some unique ones. Once you get to max street cred tho I'm pretty sure they all sell mostly the same things across the board

I didn’t think the “Blunt Weapons” skills in the body tree affected Gorilla Arms, because they always show the Hammer/Bat.
That changes things.
Yeah bro even in my original playthrough i used gorilla fists the entire game, it wasnt explained very well which perks buffed them so i just figured the perks that applied to blunt weapons applied to them too and i noticed the differences when i bought those perks
i wish there where more arm implants in the game

I have responded to comments like this a million times, you're not the first person to point it out and note the Wiki was updated ONLY AFTER Phantom Liberty to reflect the sandy. Before then no one knew what sandy he used

Perk Point Shards will drop from enemies, but can also be found in NCPDs, Gigs, etc.

David used the apogee lol it was confirmed by the devs and it’s pretty obvious.
It was confirmed once Phantom Liberty dropped, no one knew before hand. Not even the Wiki had the info and this was made right when the DLC dropped. You could also read the million other comments saying the same thing and the pinned comment instead of being a complaining redditor. Please go outside for the love of everything holy

You can cut back on some of the movement and pistol perks. Def still have at least 20 on Tech and Cool, then you can focus on Body and Relflexes at at least 15

You can't reset attributes on a new character, if you had a character made before Update 2.0 you could reset only once

With Update 2.0 there are no clothing mods. Few types of clothes come with small bonuses, but now health is determined by your body stat and armor is determined by your Cyberware 👍

With the Phantom Liberty DLC you get the 10 extra levels to reach level 60 and access to the Relic Skills, if you have the base game you get everything expect those

How do you have 2 face cyberwear slots?
It’s something you get in the Phantom Liberty DLC and can’t be replaced, basically it’s needed for certain missions
Every build has him using gorilla arms when clearly he's kitted out with a projectile launch system. You can't have both
that's why I made 2 builds...
Regarding Pyromania:
- Projectile Launch System does not benefit from Pyromania stacks. It also doesn't generate Pyromania stacks, the only Cyberware that will is Shock n Awe and Microgenerator.
- The only things benefitting from Pyromania are the Frag Grenade, Ozobo's Nose and EMP grenades.
- The only way to proc Pyromania with normal guns is if they have innate explosive rounds + Firecracker. Certain iconics like the Hypercritical will also proc it.

At 15:00 you can literally see the Pyromania perk pop up and stack at the top of the screen when getting a kill with the PLS. The perk that merges the left and middle column under Tech is what makes that happen
@@itsdavetvYT the perk pops up yes but damage does not increase, only movement speed does. The game is only registering part of that perk as PJL is still bugged since launch. So no it doesnt work completely as intended.

Why are all the David build completely wrong or mostly wrong?
First the sandevistan that David use is the Apogee and not the Falcon. The Falcon is a mass produced one while the description of the Apogee state that this sandy doesn't officially exist and wasn't meant for mass production. This fit perfectly with the state of David sandy in the anime.
Second, while David does have gorilla arms in the anime he never actually use them. He also has a projectile launch system that he use quite a few times. So replacing the arms with the projectile launcher would be a much better fit of the theme of this build.
Third, the smartlink is way better canon. He mostly use a smart pistol and in once scene a smart shotgun. Otherwise he's sporting a crusher shotgun which is not smart but again it's like in one scene only. He is never seen using ricochet.
Fourth, since the gorilla arms are not the proper cyberware to be used, all other cyberware which boost melee is completely useless.
Fifth, he do indeed have fortified ankles, as shown during the gig after the time skip.
And then I could go on with the perks for melee but I think everyone would get the picture...

1st - No one knew the Apogee was David's Sandy until Phantom Liberty and all the Wiki's said it was either the Falcon or the Qaint Warp Dancer because of the perks before 2.0. In the anime it's never mentioned what the Sandy is, CDPR only recently confirmed it.
2nd - Just because you don't see him use Gorilla Arms doesn't mean he didn't use them? You think we saw every gig he did, no. I made both builds for a reason.
3rd - SmartLink is canon, but since we can't take advantage of Smart Weapons perk bonuses under Intelligence it makes more sense to go with other Cyberware to be more effective. You can go ahead and use it if you want, no one is stopping you pal.
4th - Maybe if you paid attention you'd notice that the stats under the Cyberware that weren't switched out for the 2nd build didn't have a focus on melee damage. Most of it was weapon, health regen and explosive damage bonuses. Only the melee specific Cyberware had those bonuses. Also note that when you go to upgrade Cyberware they're random stats, so if I see 2 out of the 3 come with RAM or Quickhack bonuses I'm not going to choose those even if the other roll has melee damage bonus.
5th - I mentioned Fortified Ankles for the melee build specifically, but note it's never exclusively mentioned.
