I don’t own vizzik, but this guide was a great help for painting my skaven collection. Especially got great results from your tips on how to apply rust and verdigris effects.
I was in the local GW yesterday and managed to have a look at some of the new Skaven built, The sculpts are stunning! Not sure I could be bothered painting a whole bunch of clan rats but I'm temped to get some of the larger minis to have fun painting!. Amazing work as always Lloyd!
Stunning work coach! New Skaven are great…. Don’t fancy painting an army but will do Skaventide and a few of the big models like this chap! Cheers for the video as always 👍🏼
Another amazing video! thx! when you "stipple", do you mix paint with water on palet or it's just pure paint? Do you dry a little bit the brush before apply on miniature?
Look forward to following this when mine arrives. Can I ask how you painted the green on the base and is that striking scorpion on the metal on the staff? Thanks
Yes it's a little bit of striking scorpion on the metal - hardly any on your brush The green on the base is done with karandras green over a light grey/white base I painted this last and also painted it over the structure where I would get reflections
Looks great. Could I ask, when you have something pinned to (I assume) a paperclip, like the head, how do you stop it from moving and spinning? Just by gluing it to the cork?
if you were using contrast, how did you do the thin patches of fur all over its arms and back? did you just use gharak sewer? you skipped a few things I might have missed, like hooves and claws?
Hooves and claws were done the same as the light part of the horns, focusing on sharp edges for highlights. The lighter fur was done the same as the fur on the leg, using Garaghak's Sewer and then a little contrast medium to feather it out
How much have you spent on paints??!! I’m wondering about buying bulk CYMK liquitex inks and mixing my own to keep costs down.. but I’m in a quandary as to which path to take.. there are soo many choices!! Zenethal + Pre-shading Grey -> White + contrast paints Or base colours, pre-shading, shading, highlighting, glazing ArmyPainter v Citidel v Ink
I have spent far too much money on paint! You can in theory get by with cerulean blue, magenta, cold yellow warm yellow, white and black, and then make mixes as you go The thing with all the different colours I use is that it makes it simple to reproduce across many models. As for the type of paint, I guess that comes down to personal preference and the finish you want
Vizik is a Priest. The thing you call a scarf is actually a priest's STOLE. A piece of vestments worn during liturgy. For all intents and purposes it is a Stole not a scarf.

Thanks! It is easier to show you - the start of this video goes through it ruclips.net/video/FNyhrymeV8k/видео.html
Near the Beginning you mention you use pallid wych flesh, but you show flayed one flesh. Which one do you actually use? Awesome video, thanks!!
Oh good spot I must have missed that in editing - I believe it was flayed one then pallid
@@ThePaintingCoach thanks!

@@ThePaintingCoach Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
Looks amazing! Which brush are you using ?
Thanks - I'm using a mix of artis opus series S and Rosemary amd Co Series 33
Looks great. Could I ask, when you have something pinned to (I assume) a paperclip, like the head, how do you stop it from moving and spinning? Just by gluing it to the cork?
Thanks - yes that's one way - generally the cork should grip it fairly tightly anyway
@@ThePaintingCoach Huh, I've never gotten them to stay put by themselves. Thank you.

@@ThePaintingCoach Thank you!
what's the best way to paint all the mini rats on him?
I used black templar contrast and highlighted with the same greys as the shoulder pads - little bit of flesh on the mouth, tails and feet
How did you paint that warp pool beneath his leg? :)
Paint it with corax white and then cover it in karandras green
Those Fingernails look so vile, but it fits sooo well.
Thanks!
What was the dark aluminium brand you were using couldn’t understand in the video
Vallejo metal color
