As a wise man once said: "I don't know what it is with japanese composers, but somehow they manage to create better symphonies than the continent that invented them"
Honestly, Japanese game developers just somehow are able to get their hands on the most magnificent orchestras and composers imaginable... Nintendo, Square Enix, Fromsoftware, like holy shit...
The Windmill hill was the first godskin i ever saw, it made the fight so much more cinematic first time hearing this song with the flowers, windmills and black flames. Superb
Absolutely agree! Especially when you play a melee build, makes the whole fight so much more terrifying. Hands down my favorite piece from the base game!
This is my favourite track from the game. Despite spending hours fighting the Duo in Farum Azula with an unoptimized character. this song made the fight worth it. I love hearing first-time reactions to it. Thank you for taking the time Em Young! :D
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned this before (from what I can see) but would love to see you react to Bury The Light - DMC5 Vergil OST. The song went absolutely viral when first released and it’s been praised by many others on how amazing not only the production, but how true the song is to Vergils character.
My favorite theme from Elden Ring by far. It sends very strong emotion and it sounds majestic and evil at the same time, never fails to gives goosebumps, truly magnificent music.
Honestly, I’d recommend (almost) all Dark Souls 3 soundtracks. They are all great and you can feel the story in the music. The only exception is like 3 out of like 25 bosses
I have a suggestion that I haven’t really seen before, and it’s Regal Ancestor Spirit. It’s such a unique song in Elden Ring, totally different from any other track I’ve heard in Fromsoft games.
You can feel the "divinity" in the composition in this song, Specially in this 1:01 part. It's interesting how FromSoftware can create something that is related to the divine and malignant at same time.
i spent over a hundred tries fighting that boss only to find out at the end that this piece of art got carved into my brain and i was actually upset after i beat him, to my satisfaction tho i fought him again somewhere else and was so happy that i got to hear it one more time
I highly recommend it. It was my first souls game, and, as such, I felt anxious. But now? Playing this game was an experience i’ll cherish forever, being the explorer type at heart, one that enjoys soaking in all the scenery
i will never forgive them for that gank fight, after that first one in caelid i thought we were done and then they bring them back way too many times lmao. But the music almost makes up for it, that shit is amazing, breathtaking lowkey
I think someone actually decoded what the singers where saying it has alot to do with with them saying "i will take your skin and wear it " and " i must wear your skin to become a god" which makes sense when they are the godskin bosses
Antonius Tertius is a more reliable source - he’s confirmed fairly thoroughly that the Song of Lament is the only song in the game with genuine lyrics that have meaning. The rest are well-meaning but incorrect fan interpretations.
Wow these are really awesome vids. I just stumbled into your channel, as a gamer it’s really awesome to hear a musicians reaction to these tracks I’ve been subconsciously listening to for years. You should give “Answers” by Nobuo Uematsu from the Final Fantasy 14 Soundtrack a listen, all the FF14 songs are bangers.
Not doing my job as a fan of the franchise if I don't put forward Monster Hunters music. Proof of a Hero original is an absolute classic, but there are many tracks for individual monsters, Namielle, Velkhana, Safi Jiiva, Zinogre, Shara Ishvalda. You could likely have some fun dismantling these tracks.
Maybe you should check out some of the music from World of Warcraft, like the zone music. The current expansion Dragonflight has some really good ones.
This'll probably be ignored but I want to see you react to Homeworld's music > Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak > Homeworld 1 & 2 > Homeworld: Cataclysm They're unique for an RTS game & signature aspect of Homeworld games
Now thats a big question. Top of my head are Greenpath, Hornet, Sealed Vessel, Nosk, Reflection and City Of Tears. Hard to pick since Chris Larkin created a masterpiece. Which ones were your favourites? I'd like to see them the most.
These guys go around killing gods and skinning them with weapons tailor-made for the purpose. They do so zealously; with total conviction. So does the Tarnished, technically. Someone at Fromsoft has a warped sense of humour, I think.
This song is the only reason I am ok with fighting them multiple times throughout the game
i respect this and am still not okay after that gank fight
one on one they are pretty awesome bosses imo. It's just that stupid gank that is not ok.
Makes me sad that Fromsoft remade the Ornstein and smough fight but made it worse
I rememeber stopping in awe when 1:01 started, and I wasn't even mad they killed me
Facts!
As a wise man once said: "I don't know what it is with japanese composers, but somehow they manage to create better symphonies than the continent that invented them"
Ah, a man of culture i see
We bring symphonies to a country with microtonal music, they proceed to beat our asses cuz they have more melodic range lmao.
I recognize this line but can't remember what it's from. Sauce me up?
@@taterskins1033 Max0r on his Bloodborne review
this self-deprecation shit is so lame.

agreed...
fan culture is very strong in japan just look at touhou music and fan games.
Exactly, and yet games like bloodborne consistantly NEVER appear in lists of top videogame soundtracks
My throat gets so dry listening to those poor sopranos, but it truly was glorious I’m glad you reacted to it!
real, those sopranos worked Hard
Hearing these tracks on their own, transports you right back to the first time you fought these bosses. They are so memorable
The Windmill hill was the first godskin i ever saw, it made the fight so much more cinematic first time hearing this song with the flowers, windmills and black flames. Superb

their fight is BRUTAL hahah but a fun listen!
I first try killed them, I was disapponted because I love this soundtrack
Just completed this game and the music scares me more than the enemies😭
realll hahha
Yeah, From Software is really good at producing incredible boss themes.
Godfrey, The First Elden Lord has an excellent melody, you will love it!
This track ALWAYS gives me full body chills, and the boss fights give me full body rage.
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned this before (from what I can see) but would love to see you react to Bury The Light - DMC5 Vergil OST. Gives vibes of "divine malice"
Slave knight Gael is definitely one I highly recommend. That piece is just fantastic.

Lichdragon fortissax is a must listen from Elden ring, so is rykard lord of blasphemy
yes!! those are sick, i'll be posting them as well!
Radahn, Mohg and Malekith as well

i literally keep dying over and over just to listen to this masterpiece while fighting them, i swear i feel like i'm in the game fighting for my life
This has such Ludwig vibes and I’m here for it
A masterpiece.
One of my favourite tracks from this game! On my tier list, right after Regal Ancestor Spirit
My Trauma sits deep with this one .-.
real
Weirdly enough the lyrics to Take Me Out To The Ballgame fit really really well with this song
Love the videos
It's incredible
I love how utterly unholy and yet thoroughly convicted and self-righteous this track is.
i love this song....
i've never actually played this game but this is making me want to Q_Q
I highly recommend it. It was my first souls game, and, as such, I felt anxious.
But now? Playing this game was an experience i’ll cherish forever, being the explorer type at heart, one that enjoys soaking in all the scenery
It's amazing
Listening to music is good, but playing and listening is another level...
I always do fromsoftware score reactions after fighting the boss! Prefer to see how the score feels in-game and then listen to the piece on its own
I’d love to see a reaction to Battlefield 1’s Dawn of a New Time track. It goes outrageously hard
Would you ever consider the OST of Dwan of War 2: Retribution? I remember it was dope.
Also, great vid.
One of the most powerful is Godfrey, must try it!
i will never forgive them for that gank fight, after that first one in caelid i thought we were done and then they bring them back way too many times lmao. But the music almost makes up for it, that shit is amazing, breathtaking lowkey

Can you try Midir soundtrack?
one of my favorite bosses in ds3:)
Please do Laurence, the First Vicar
Would you, by chance, take a listen Elden Ring's Ancestral Spirit theme?
do Monster of God - Hellsing Ultimate it's so SO good
This is the most magnificent/inappropriate theme for the inside of a Walmart.
Laurence Theme. Bloodborne.
Finally 🎉
Fajny cosplay Alistara :3
Would really love to see you react to some Hollow Knight
any favorite tracks? I have my old hollow knight reactions still from when i first played!

I am begging, Sea Forts from Sea of Thieves
Could you maybe do a reaction video of Vergil's battle theme song? It's called Bury The Light by Casey Edwards and Victor Borba. Love your vids btw✌️🔥
