Always trust a Brit to know how to colonize properly :D
lol ;)
You realise he's the one being colonised if he's about to declare independence right?
@@MultiSciGeek Aren't Americans basically Brits?
PigeRævehale
True, but at the end of the Revolutionary War, most of the American population made up of the losing side that immigrated were the Germans, the ex-Hessians. At least that’s what I was taught in High School history.
@@TPDManiacXC626 im an 🇺🇸 citizen. But im also German, italian, french, got some heritage from Irish and welch, British. We are mutts heh.
"The homeless are living in shacks, and right now that's fine. That's what we want to do. Why should we have to pay for housing?" Spoken like a true rich politician 😂
For her s and get the biggest thing in her home and they WILL PAY you 🤡🤡🤡🤡😃🎋🎗️🎃
The rum distillery consumes a lot of sugar. You have to upgrade dunder stills to reduce raw material consumption.
Your channel is like PRIME TIME right now!
Design Centric Tropico, Design Centric Cities:Skyline, Design Centric Transport Fever, Design Centric Don't Starve!!!!
This is AMAZING!!!!!!🎉🎉
21:25 you are doing 2 x rum export contract of 300 total 600 at 5% above standard, but your rum import is at 5000 at 40% above standard price. So that means 600 rum will be sold at 35% loss and then you will be left with extra 4400 rum imported at 40% above standard price which you are going to sell out at standard price making a loss of 40 % per rum sold. I notice you have been doing a lot of such non profit trade. All these are not taking into account the rum you yourself are producing Maybe that is why your are not maxing out your profit?
Damn, I just finished posting that same thing. I looked to see if anyone else commented it and some how missed yours. Hopefully he sees one of us lol just so he looks closer in the future.
I import 5,000 @ +40%
I export 2 x 300 @ +5 to get my influence up with the Crown so I can get better contracts (upto +20%)
The remaining 4,400 I 'hope' to export with a smugglers contract which will be +100%
but the import has a -10 influence with the crown....
Exactly .. so I need to do the contacts with the crown to offset that
Huh? The contracts offset each other with influence...so you arent gaining any as you stated above, and you are losing money...so do you see why everyone is confused?
My trick in 5 was similar, but I got several docks, so cashflow was more stable.
Would not a professional army be more valid now when all children appear with a highschool education?
conscript them just after they are born
One tiny thing... when you imported the rum to export it.. you imported it at a higher cost than you are exporting it. It was 40% above standard ($12,880 per 1000) import... and your exports were 5% above standard ($9,660 per 1000) The devils in the details lol.
and then after that you didnt have enough slots to get the 100% smugglers rum export :(
Look at the quantities
The pricing for both is based on 1000 units, the volume of the trade doesn't impact the price it impacts how much you are able to sell... At least that's my understanding of it.
21:15 ish
@@Xploit66 I agree it seems to be per 1000
@@SkyeStorme The quantities dont matter when its per 1000 units. u fuckd up sorry.
No YOU fucked up .. the CONTRACT quantities NOT the PER quantities
I import 5,000 @ +40%
I export 2 x 300 @ +5 to get my influence up with the Crown so I can get better contracts (upto +20%)
The remaining 4,400 I 'hope' to export with a smugglers contract which will be +100%
just found nanny giggles, and subscribed because of you skye, the poor lass, having to put up with the likes of you, she needs all the support she can get, lmao, the pair of you have become the burns and allen on the new millennium. love your banter............
Skye you dominated the colonial era, I cant wait to see you make the island look beautiful with the ministry and the embassys. Just remember not to f*** a nun
Finally!! this is my new addiction, keep it comping Skye!
Gotta get your fix.
Importing items and selling them was a big part of my income in tropico 5 and glad to do it again 😎
How to crush! 🤣
Edit : Sister Francesca was unexpected LOL
Well, she`s marginally Spanish, and she`s something like Inquisition.
I miss Reverend Esteban.
I really like that now you can pick the amount you want to import/export, that farm trick is really gonna help me out, thanks for that tip 😁
great video as always!
you could probably add a sugar farm somewhere on the plateau to make sure your distillery is full, you could try to fit one close to the others, or just switch one of the farms you have double. Pretty sure double tobacco and sugar for the rum and cigars will make a lot of money for you!
I already want to watch the next episode 😅 need to upload these faster Sky! 😁
Best tropico 6 playthrough on the RUclips mate
That was a great episode - and it wasn't my drink but the cottage cheese I was eating that flew on my screen :D
Yeah! Keep 'em coming Skye! Cheers m8.
Ahaha, the moment with the nun; best part of the game. Nothing else is better, no, that moment is best.
Hehe ;)
Nice layout! Finally someone with a sense of aesthetics.
You and I build cities about the same way.. it has to be straight, neat and beautiful.. I try and keep all production buildings together.
Usually when I set up second-level industries like Rum or Tobacco I place one plantation right next to it with its own Teamsters Office strictly for the purpose of taking ALL of the raw resource and putting it right into the Industry building
Needles to say i need to clean my monitor now, god that was hilarious.
Nice job so far, i finally managed to catch up on all the videos you just spit out on youtube ;)
Looking forward to the next video...Good Job.
Loving the Tropico vids, you are hilarious! Please keep making Tropico videos!!!!
loving this series
48:39 Brilliant..!!
Hmm.. It is perhaps not the most polished a gem of the colonial era, but I really liked the slum! I would have liked a little tour in the cityscape! 😍 The slum is adorable dense! It's a shanty town with grits! Dope crip though! Neat little wonder! 👌
Looking forward to seeing more Tropico. Really like the design focus.
I wonder if the farms were actually fully clearing or he was just sitting on piles of rotting food at the top of the hill?
Nice! Cant wait for the next episode!
Maybe I am completely wrong, but are you aware that most edicts have tiers when you run them and the longer you run them uninterrupted the bigger their effect is. For example "Advanced Boat Services" may only provide a 5% boost at the beginning, but that boost will become bigger over time. I think there are three tiers, which means at the end you will get a 15% speed boost.
The game doesn't say anything about that
Yeah it does not, but if you look at edicts you will find that there are often two stars in white above edicts (like penal colony) and if you let the edict run long enough the game will inform you that the edict has "leveled up" and the reward (in this case money) increases. Similary stuff happens with the literacy program and so on. Try it out.
Was well done per the norm. Will use and recommend these when the game comes out.
Upgrade the rum factory to use less sugar iirc. (I could be thinking of cigar factory)
You helped me very well with this series, subbed!
For some reason the plantations don't generate nearly as much as yours and I followed it to a T. The center plots are only at 165 whereas yours is at 200. With max coverage of 9 with multi n manure spreaders it still doesn't stack. They must've reworked it since this video release. I'm still hemorrhaging a little with the wages needed to get that high efficiency
Love love love this Skye!
dude you had me balling my eyes out in that one at the end Edit : Sister Francesca.. I know what you are thinking, feck the nun! priceless :P
this series is VERY exciting :))
I have never played this game, but now I think I want to
Sister Francesca is my favorite. Wynton Marlborough is next fave. Then Rodrigo Rodriguez on the fact that he looks like Luis Guzman.
If you have trouble getting rawmaterials to Your factories/industries, there is a customization you can do, to El Presidente, that makes him attentive to these Things -Nice touch! ;)
Please upload more and faster
Lol! Love this! Thanks skye!
Probably gonna be less and slower .. I have 4 series running .. Tropico 6, Cities Skylines, Transport Fever and Don't Starve .. plus I have Frostpunk and Foundation coming soon .. only so many hours in the day :)
@@SkyeStorme i understand skye thanks alot! Im looking forward for more. 😊
Can't wait for Tropico 6's release. Seems so good so far.
The trading system seems to be working differently here, in that buying Trade-routes seems to lease out a freighter, although said freighter will only ever come to pick up the specified goods, set for it's specific route -that's why the dock is never emptied, and the "Calculated Revenue"-ticker here does not represent a single ship, but what's stored in the docks -how long it will take you to earn in Your Revenue is left in the Wind.
waiting for the next one can not wait for long lovvvvvvve it
So close to 141k subs. Congrats for 141k subs in advance
Thank you :)
Please make more of this.
building houses should give you rent I think. so it should be beneficial and give you a solid backbone income
38:52 There says "DIARIO" that means Diary...
No, it means Journal. The Tropico Journal. The Tropico Diary makes less sense.
@@eman-db2gw I think the best one is "daily", its refering at how its every day and not montly...
Diario means "newspaper" (it literally means "daily", as someone mentioned). The other word for newspaper is "periódico" (literally "periodical") but diario is preferred in some countries.
followed your tips and managed to stay i the colonial era for 45yrs
To get people to be more likely to stay/move in/vote in your favour in elections build more houses because people like housing and will not like it if you don’t provide housing. It also makes them less likely to start riots and rebel.
have you ever thought of making an updated series? every video on youtube is from the beta version
I love the music in this game
Nice one Skye, loving this. Is there a statue on the mountain on the middle island ?
*constantly takes hits to approval for working with smugglers*
*Wonders why the crown don't give good contracts.*
I was ever particularly interested in Tropico, but then Skye started playing it. How can any game be anything but riveting when under a Skye Storme? I am loving this, and think that yes, the Colonial Era was crushed like a bug on the windscreen of your new presidential limousine.
lol ;)
Great video... Thank you!
How to invoke Disasters in Tropico (later game) : Build a windfarm - pretty much guarantees a tornado within days. However, you can reduce the tornado chance with 50% by building the windfarm on the beach (which will increase you tsunami chance with 50%) lol
Alright, that's it, Francesca is the best one so far personality wise x') Well, Penultimo is better but he's a special case, i mean, he's the reccuring joke of the serie.
I need to follow this series
Did you spend your whole budget on parks?
thanks dude had no clue it was the newspapers
While I'm loving the series this episode was mostly waiting, no building or design of anything. Would it be logical to start the town design now rather than do it all next.
Anyway, still loving the series and so I'm looking forward to seeing next vid and next era and town building.
dud you have help me a lot on the money thank dont quit ever
Really like this series!
Move your rum distillery closer to the sugar plantations.
Others have already pointed it out, but you're losing a ton of money by signing up to bad import trade deals. You need to look for import deals where the product is dirt cheap and then export it straight back out for profit. You're importing for way more than the product is worth and then selling it for less. Often you can import rum for way less than market price and then export it for way over market price. You literally get paid for storing the product for a few minutes. You're doing the opposite and losing a lot of money. That's why you missed out on a heap of money at 11:40
Question! Why is my sugar still exporting when I unchecked the sugar box? Thanks!
New to game but regarding imports, you seem to be going for the red high numbers, red +50% etc. is this not buying high and selling low? Intuitively I’d think you’d want to import prices below standard and export above standard. Perhaps I’m misunderstanding.
I'm at 42:40 and I have a question... Cash is so abundant that it doesn't REALLY matter but now that you're going for the revolution, why continue to extend the mandate? Why not just take the cash?
Because I wanted to show how much I could extend the mandate
Doesn't housing actually provide rent to you? So, up front cost for long term income, right?
In the past you had to set your sugar to be used locally, otherwise you export it all and will never make rum from it.
Brilliant episode Skye.......More Rubber!
one of the things that bother me the most are the boat animations, but they should get improved ;)
Well done! Skye delivers proper playthrough once more (other yt:s are struggling...)
Can you do a list of bonuses for wonders and landmarks
I don't understand at 9:37 why imported 5,000 Rum at 50% above average cost. You're paying 1.5 the normal price for that Rum, correct?
just crushed it nailed it banged it episode only it :D
I can never get my building stocked can u show how to do that?
Awesome series!!!!
The Registan was placed backwards and I almost went mental. But then I realised it's just a game. I'm a sufferer of OCD.
It wasn't placed 'backwards' .. since it has roads on all sides. It was deliberately placed with the rear of the structure facing the square because that's the way it looks best
Like your accent. I really thought my command of the English language was good until I was enjoying time in a Pizzaria and suddenly noticed some guys talking at the next table. Car traders from Liverpool - boy they have an accent...
Isnt there an upgrade for the docks that allows ships to have a bigger capacity and/or more port visits thst u could get?
Yes but I don't need it
@@SkyeStorme true but wont hurt to have either tho lol
Next please :)
Nice strategy.
I appreciate your video, helped me get started but I think we need an update, none of the efficiencies are the same anymore so I think they patched this and im absolutley hemorrahging money like 40 years into the colonial era
Hey! Will you do another Oxygen not Included series? Since there is so much new stuff now.
No
Is there a particular reason that you won't? I was under the impression that you loved ONI.
Im sorry if i have missed you answering this before.
37:40 Why did the sailing ship dock with the Fisherman Wharf? Isn't that the pirate ship? Arrrggh!☠️💀☠️💀☠️
No clue
If you have that Samarkand-thingy, there's no reason not to go for a Proffessional army, 'cause, as both the game states and history shows, proffessional armies reign supreme, compared to less organized units of military -the greatest militaristic Kingdom , in modern times -Prussia were the inventors of Public Schools, strictly for the purpose of indoctrination, into less desrtion-prone soldiers -and it Works to this day! ;)
the nun part was funny
Also, what is the mandated?
Damn I look at this and it puts my cold war era island to shame
They say it pays to be patient, with 300k in the bank it sure did. I will now retire singing "Feed me Seymore" until the next episode ;)
you also imported a lot of rum for a while which reduced your income from the exports
Now I'm craving Cuban food.
I have noticed that getting the random blueprint hasnt worked since I got the mansion. Havent got a thing since then
That's because you've researched all the available ones :)
More!!!
Crushed it 👍
