skye, in case you didn't know, pedestrians don't actually have to walk on roads, they can walk off of roads and between buildings all they want. so putting the parking garage in the middle of the factories is a smart idea

Just going off of the way you started, it makes me think that you should of stayed a little bit longer in the Colonial Era and reached for $750,000 just to be extra careful. That way you would of been able to REALLY expand however I'm certain that the money will start popping out soon enough. I'm loving this series and can't wait to play this one myself. I think you get a better price deviation from standard based on your standing with the nation you're trading with. In the colonial era you start around 5% and then when you have a good standing you get 20%!
Though the bonus for trade is important, I'm confused when you were hard up for cash you weren't taking a 9K trade at 5% above markup? Seems like lost money until better options arose.Am I missing something?
If trading is like the past Tropic games you need to get your standing up with the superpowers before they give you better trade deals, so having low standing will only result in a 0-5% gain on the goods you send them where if you have high standing you might get contracts that give the +20% that you are looking for,

Hi Skye, just letting you know, when you had that 300K, the bank would've been a good source of supplemental revenue. On basic mode, it's 1000$ per month. Also, I'm not sure what era is the private banking work mode, but that one is even more ridiculous. If you've got a lot of wealthy Tropicans, you could get as much as 4000$-5000$ per month.

also I recommend once this game leaves beta you should get the cheat engine and learn how to use it for tropico that way you will never run out of resources in the mines etc. helps for the cash and then some.
The sandbox’s for tropico are 10x better than the missions

i would have checked what trades are available before building anything, that way you know you have a good trade route setup.
