    Thank you to Andreas, the creator of these cubes. He is an amazing person and artist. These cubes are hand made by Andreas. A full set of four GeoCubes consists of: 144 rare-earth magnets, 144 fabric and non-fabric tape hinges. 48 pieces of heavy cardstock paper and more than 50 feet of transfer-tape. It takes Andreas around 3 hours to create a set of 4. You can purchase these cubes and other versions of them on his site:
    www.geobender.com/
    The music is an adaption of my original song Soul Switch.
    When I first saw these cubes, I was mesmerized by the movement from one shape to the next and then to actually work with them is even more amazing. At first you have to get used to the movement but you quickly learn patterns and movements to get from one shape to the next. It becomes extremely addicting to play. As you get better it starts to feel like a form of meditation.

      Andreas Hoenigschmid Lmfao "rare earth magnets" and "150 lb's of pulling power" the complete bull people will say to get others to buy cheap products and knick knacks is unbelievable. There is nothing rare about the magnets or the premise of unfolding geometric cubes. I wonder why I don't see these laying around everyones nice houses. Maybe it's because people who are bright enough to earn more than enough money to afford these are also bright enough to know these aren't worth a fraction of the money they're selling it for. But then again I guess that's the reason this world has producers and consumers.

    • @GryphonSkull
      @GryphonSkull 7 лет назад +14

      because this is high quality. think about how they have to be able to move and then look at the edges. plus how exactly they fit together. plus magnets. plus they hold the position.
      and on top of that they are handmade, and the person who made them also spent a lot of time and effort on developing them / making them work the way they do, so.
      I don't see how so many people are confused by the price, it seems pretty fair to me :D

    • @chagmenlietons3606

      Andreas Hoenigschmid - I have looked through your products and I personally will end up buying some things from there when I can. Definitely the GeoCubes, since I was always fascinated with products along the lines such as this. I may get headaches just messing with them, but I won't get tired of them. Creating something like this is definitely a masterpiece, the price is definitely right, but currently out of my range.

    • @TalonV9
      @TalonV9 7 лет назад +2

      @Andreas Hoenigschmid Glad I see you realize most of the people complaining about the price are under-aged or don't have a job--So I wouldn't mind them anyways. $100 for the refurbished set is a reasonable deal. Great work!

      Actually ..in a way.. it took about 10 months. I ordered the cubes 10 months ago. But then I left the country. I was out of the country for 8 months. I returned home 2 months ago and opened the box. I spent almost a month practicing the cubes. It took 3 days to prep, film and edit. And took 4 days to write/record the song. :)

    There is something oddly satisfying knowing that there are magnets inside keeping them all together.

      It feels so good when you almost complete a proper shape and you feel the magnets "finish" the move for you.

      If it takes the guy three hours to make a set of four then you're mostly paying for labour. If you want a cheap set, see if you can get some mass manufactured in China and get back to us.

    • @jamdaly329

      it might seem a bit high, but to do this the right way you need a high quality material that can be folded many times without tearing, a high quality printing process and magnets. Not cheap

    • @geostillo78
      @geostillo78 7 лет назад

      Jam Daly you hit "not cheap" on the head man.

    • @0tzu
      @0tzu 7 лет назад

      +Jam Daly Even with that quality is not worth it, maybe 50$ for all.

    • @kikicat123
      @kikicat123 7 лет назад +9

      I honestly agree with this explanation.
      1. Magnets are NOT cheap.
      2. The material used is probably not cheap either, as Jam said it needs to bend over and over without breaking
      3. Labor. He makes them by hand
      4. Profit. he needs a profit of some sort
