2016 F150 Charging System Service Now Message

This video shows our diagnosis and repair of a 2016 Ford F150 that's displaying a "Charging System Service Now" message in the instrument cluster. The codes in the PCM on this vehicle were P0620 and P065B. It was charging to 13.5 volts and diagnostics led to an open in the Gen Command circuit that was repaired, fixing the problem.

Brand new battery and alternator and still got this message!!

Battery died. Had it jumped and has started the last few times. Have not drove it since yesterday 2pm?

My 2018 ford fusion does this. I’ve done took my car back to the ford shop 4 times for them to fixe this problem… they did not fix it. The last time they changed the battery and alternator and it’s still doing the same thing. I parked my car in the garage because I don’t want to be stranded.

It’s an iPhone with the Forscan lite app and an OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth adapter.

As long as it’s still charging you should be able to.
