This game just popped into my mind from my memory. I used to play split screen with my cousins who were the only brothers I ever had, growing up with 3 older sisters. Ethan my cousin but more importantly my best friend passed the first of this year. I looked up to him regarding everything. He’d lead me through the game, he’d be the one to find all the blueprints. Whenever I’d get lost I’d ask him to come find me. I recall a time where he was building an awesome building, he told me not to place water or lava ANYWHERE in the building. I dont remember if I did it on accident or was just that curious but I placed a lava bucket anyways. The worst feeling of my life was watching the person I looked up to cry because of my negligence. Lava fills up entire areas when placed. It was bad. But Ethan was quick to forgive me and we just kept playing. Never held a grudge against me although if I were him I wouldn’t be the same, and that’s why he was so great in my eyes. I remember custom maps we’d play with parkour and stuff, the whole bit. Picking our skins, the four of us. I was 10 I believe then, I turn 21 now and it almost brings me to tears watching this video because of all the memories I made.
Same. I remember making a really elaborate world, and someone finding an Easter Egg, or using a world seed or something that transformed the world into the moon! Like you jump slightly higher, and the blocks were all different. Maybe that was a portal? Idk...it's been too long. I just remember that accursed default music by Kevin McLeod, and the screaming of the spiders....sheeeesh that first time it happened to me too, I bout wet my pants hahahaah
I feel like all my friends nowaday don't understand that, when I was young I didn't have a PC only an xbox 360. I really wanted to play Minecraft and play on the servers that I saw on RUclips. However I never could, and even when Minecraft came onto the xbox it never had servers like PC. But Total Miner? It had that, you could play on prison servers for example.
@@DynoSkrimisher, gosh I remember those maps having the multiple things you’d have to do to get more skins, it felt so natural just starting out on the game and playing an mmo and unlocking skins along with rewards ingame from quests, miss this game to death.
As a PlayStation 4 and pc player I’m desperate for this game to be promoted and rereleased with cross platform with pc would be nice cause the best scripted maps will be from pc because typing scrips on xbox used to take hours and hours, I say get all of the OG’s like all the old old fans like I’m assuming everyone who watched this video is, and get US all to explain what everyone is missing out on, get the honest truth from people who know the game from its early stages to it’s unfortunate end and revive the game, if it makes enough money they might be able to get a team on it to bring us updates like minecraft always forces us to wait years for that can literally be made in days by modders
So nostalgic, all the indie games on 360 where so good. I’m now 19 and nothing matches the fun I had playing with my brother on castle miner z and total miner.
Fun video! My brothers and I would play this game for hours on the 360 back in the day. The spider screams, earthquakes underground, and the music are some of the most nostalgic pieces for me!
I remember being young and getting an Xbox one a week later I go back to play this game and only this game. that’s until my parents broke up. When they got back together I booted up the old 360 turns out the 360 wouldn’t work anymore😞 I still miss the pvp mines
Man those mines were awesome! Sorry to hear the 360 wouldn't work anymore. It's getting to a point where 360s are almost like how the OG Xbox was. All that hardware is getting really old now.
This brings back so many memories I played this when I was like 11 years old and I had so many parkour maps and a very active survival map I wish I could go back 😔😔
I missed this game a lot. It helped me grasp on how Scripts worked back then when I was merely 11-12 years old back then. I was just playing a mining tycoon (with a PvP mine and etc) Guy who made it was called -something-Yoshi. I was super invested in the game and at one point he let me download my own copy of the world while he worked on a sequel map. I ended up studying his scripts, learning how the mines work, and tried my best to improve on the original map. I ended up learning how to create more areas to mine in, a PvP arena(and PvP mines of course) as well as learning to make an extended shop. I had even learned how to make plots for people to build and even a locker that saved your items. I think it was called like, Prison Escape mines or something? If i knew my old xbox 360 has kept the world, i might check it out when I get the chance! I always wanted to learn how to make those guns work all these years. . .
those fucking spiders are still the scariest experience I ever had in a video game. My buddy and I just wanted to play MC but it hadn't been released to xbox yet. We downloaded TM, and I was thrilled to see that there were no hostile mobs. We spent a good while up top looking for blueprints and building houses. Finally we decided to explore the deeps. I had no idea about the spiders and had spent a good few hours not getting any hint of hostility in the game. We were exploring through when one of the asshole spawned from above me and landed on me. Then the most unholy sound I have ever heard came through as my screen filled in black from the spiders fat ass landing on me. I have never screamed so primally before
This game is the reason tuff makes me think of the moon, this game is the reason I’m terrified of cave ins and this game has cemented those spider sounds in my head.
Bruh, i remember playing this game with my brother on the 360 in 2014, he was like 9 and i was maybe 6 or 5, and we had such a similar experiance, we'd play TM:Forge all the time, and one time while playing, we found this huge cool cave, and we went exploring together, then we saw the red eyes, all the red eyes from the floor to the ceiling in a large cave, and all at once we were instantly attacked, and we heard the noises (note that we were at full volume) and were scared shitless, we ran out of the cave, paused, look at each other in horror, thought for a minute, and without saying a word, both agreed on never playing that game again, then 4 years later, i went back, and i found that same exact cave, i wanted answers, we had no idea what it was, so i went back.
Man those were the days, I had made a couple big servers all wired up with teleporters to arcades, mines, farms, bases, you name it loved the game and put many many hours into it
I love seeing so many people from share a similar love of mine from childhood. I think this game beats even the fun I can scrape out of modded Minecraft. There's something so unique about Total Miner and I hope that one day we will all be reunited in this community again. So many hysterical memories and amazing experiences with this game and community. Thank you for a trip down memory lane Mr. Noble.
Man I remember being with a group of people and making towns and trying to make a youtube video it was like Total Miner Films or something like that, man I wish I could find those videos again.
I miss this game so much. I remember first playing it with my cousin when i was new to Xbox Live and Minecraft wasn't on consoles yet. This game lasted a long time too as the last time i remember going on it and seeing worlds being hosted was 2017. I remember i mind a semi popular challenge map back in the day when i was 9 years old, but looking back at that world it sucked lol. I remember playing Dig Deep with all my friends too and playing the "all unlockables" map that helps you get all the unlockables like Sage, Soldier, Knight, Pirate etc in dig deep. I remember when Deathmatch worlds started to get popular in 2015, and i made 2 really popular maps that people would regularly play on. That was the world where i got Golden Knight too in 2016 and i remember being so excited when i finally got it as it took me years to make a good map to be able to get that skin. I miss this game overall and the community too, i still check out the forums every once in a while and see familier names from back in the day and recognise what maps they used to host. Theres so much more i could talk about but i feel like i've gone on enough already. I just wish they added a working multiplayer to the PC version because if they did, i would be hosting my old deathmatch worlds all the time
Back in 2012 I thought Total Miner Forge was literally the coolest game ever, it had a huge advantage being released a decent bit before minecraft 360 edition but when there's only like 1 dude working on the game you can't really do much.
Whatever I played this game I remember it yest to be as really creepy and the scary version of Minecraft for the songs were actually terrifying in the monsters you try to fight just unstoppable i miss those days
To hear about this game after so long is one hell of a throwback. I remember finding this game's demo after playing the alpha of Minecraft on a friends computer and having to wait until Christmas to get enough microsoft points to get the full game. Even back then this game was something special without question, and to even see that there's *something* going on with this game still brings back some great memories of the old days of booting up my 360 after getting home from school and exploring the amazing worlds this game for hours on end. I know this is a bit late from the initial upload but thank you for bringing back some of those amazing memories.
I forgot about this game, going to my friend’s house in elementary school, slowly making our way to the bottom of the map. The community servers omg, good years
Man, I loved the hell outta this game as a kid. I would have been like 7 years old when it came out and those damn spiders scared the living hell outta me, but I still played because of how fun it was. I really really really hope this game can get updates on PC and it can at the very least be the same game it was on the 360.
I have such a vivid memory of playing this game before I knew of Minecraft. I didn’t know how to play story so I played creative it was such a new feeling.
I had no fucking clue what I was doin in this game as a kid but for some reason I have fond memories of it. I remember joining others random worlds with builds and parkour maps

Oh the memories and nostalgia.... I too had put hundreds if not thousands of hours into this beautiful game. Me and my friend had the coolest dig deep map. All we could talk about at school was going home to play Dig Deep on TMF. I really miss these days. Thank u for making this video and bringing back some great memories and times. I will never not love this game.
This Castle miner Z Xenominer and Xenominer Swarm And Murder miners were the GOAT back in my 360 days I still sometimes plug the old girl in and Play em a bit to reminisce on the good times I had with friends
I remember spending hours upon hours in thsi game. At one point I decided to level a mountain when I still onlu had stone tools *Oh boy was that a mistake*
I cannot tell you how much this game means to me. I had good friends of all kinds of ages. People younger than me, playing Xbox for the first time. All the way up to a gaming father who just liked to hang out and explore with me as a 12 year old. People I don't know the name of, and that I may never see again. All of us loved this game, we all miss it. I look forward to the day Total Miner is revived.
I miss the community and this game is still one of my favorites of all time. I dont know if anyone would remember me but I spent my time remaking The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on the 360 back in the day
The nostalgia and community of people commenting about how they loved this game really hit me in the feels today for some reason. I'm glad you made this video Mr noble!
Thanks for making this video man! Total miner was my first block game as well. It will always hold a special place in my heart lol. I hope they keep updating it -arebold
good times man, i used to be a server creator and it was easy and just so fun. glad i was able to meet so many good people on there, some bad too but it was xbox lol
I still dust off my old Xbox 360 every year to do a Dig Deep playthrough, I loved playing Total Miner with my friends back in 2011, lots of good memories
People like me keep this game alive. I have a city called Crystal Coty that I intend to begin covering on RUclips. Probably the most detailed and realistic city ever attempted. Covers 75% of a creative archipelago map. Features over 30 bridges, a full underground subway system that gives access to every inch of the city, countless nightclubs, football, basketball, and baseball stadiums and courts everywhere, unique architecture; almost every skyscraper is my own design and totally unique; I also recently added HALO minigames undergrouns, almost every bottom floor in city center is fully furnished with unique businesses, I could go on for hours. All I need is a capture card. No one will ever believe this city until they see it.
I remember playing this when I was like 5 or something not knowing anything just walked around and trying to figure out how to play multiplayer with my brother then eventually quitting to play castle miner z so much nostalgia
I didn’t know this game existed. I was looking through a channel’s old videos and found a video about total miner. I don’t know if I should play this game because it looks scary
I still have spider sound PTSD so I was constantly putting my thumb over my phone's speaker in anticipation of hearing it in this video. This was Minecraft on Xbox for me before Minecraft was on Xbox.
This game is so nostalgic for me. The music, the simplicity, the cursed sound of the spiders, joining random world's and looking around their world. Even when Minecraft came out on Xbox I would always find myself coming back to it. Fuck if I could go back and play it all over again I would in a heartbeat
I loaded this game up a few months back on my 360 and went onto my old world I played with friends and I found a sign I left myself that said "Thomas was here 2011" and i thought that was the coolest thing ever.
I REMEMBER THIS! I can't believe anyone else played this this game was so much fun, and I will be honest it has a better creative mode than minecraft on console. I was never a PC player and always had an Xbox, so I never was interested in the stuff. And so, I loved playing this game so much. I almost forgot about it until I complained about not having command blocks on bedrock console edition still in minecraft, and I remembered the marker blocks in total miner and how great they were in building large things. I miss the game so much.
Aw. I had never got to play this game as a kid. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard of it until right now. But I feel like I missed out on something great.
I loved Total Miner back in the day, came across this video in my feed just recently. Glad to see that there is still a minor following for the game. Keep the awareness for it going man, dig deep was my favorite as well and I would love to see a comeback on this game.
I remember playing on your world back on 360 a long time ago. It had to have been over 4 years. My username on the forums at the time was most likely King Raven. It's nice to see you still love this game too!
I remember playing this with my friend on xbox 360 when I was a kid. This was so much fun and though I never played alot of it I'm sad to see where this game has gone.
This game was something I remember joining people’s world ands trying to steel all there coins me and my brother would have mission we were kicked from so many servers I miss it 😢 and the parkour maps were somethin out of this world this game will always be in my heart
The original updates when the only mobs were the spiders was the best. Simple, fun with a side of all encompassing isolation 1500 blocks deep. OST was a vibe too, some music that played in the caves worked way too well
Man all the memories have come flooding back, what an awesome game this is. I wish the developers would consider bringing it over onto next gen, the community for this game would be absolutely huge like it was back in the day... Joining random worlds and getting no hate, barely any griefing and just all love

I remember me and my friend built an entire city and towns on the xbox 360 back in the days good times haven't played this in years
Really really loved the vid man keep it up the nostalgic trip to much simpler times you have brought me back to has just earned you a sub 💪🏻
I miss the community and this game is still one of my favorites of all time. I dont know if anyone would remember me but I spent my time remaking The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on the 360 back in the day
Yeah no ones gonna remember you because of that buddy😂😂
Guessing you never finished.
@@woodsy.2977 No, lost interest
@@Bigbodybennz guess you weren't busy in the 360 days
The nostalgia and community of people commenting about how they loved this game really hit me in the feels today for some reason. I'm glad you made this video Mr noble!
Thanks for making this video man! Total miner was my first block game as well. It will always hold a special place in my heart lol. I hope they keep updating it -arebold
I always remember jamming out to cipher on the menu screens
good times man, i used to be a server creator and it was easy and just so fun. glad i was able to meet so many good people on there, some bad too but it was xbox lol
i wish i could play this game in it's first release update, that's how i remember it and it would be awesome to go back to that tbh.
I still dust off my old Xbox 360 every year to do a Dig Deep playthrough, I loved playing Total Miner with my friends back in 2011, lots of good memories
The music still lives on in my head
Wow my childhood I miss it 😭 the best times love you total miner !
My friend quit as well!! When he heard that scream! Terrify!!
downloaded, going to get on this game like hell when the multiplayer is out. for now I'll poke around in single player
Took me awhile to get to this, but I'd love to see it! It'd be great to experience something like that!
@@MrNoble I’m going to work on getting some high quality video of the city soon
You deserve 1 mil this video is great, I remember playing on my Xbox 360
I remember playing this when I was like 5 or something not knowing anything just walked around and trying to figure out how to play multiplayer with my brother then eventually quitting to play castle miner z so much nostalgia
first time watching gameplay since xbox 360 over a decade ago. Wow. even the sprites of any single item brings back thousands of memories
The caves in Minecraft now remind of the total miner ones… such an interesting little indie game
Oh my God, the nostalgia of the world and music 😢
I didn’t know this game existed. I was looking through a channel’s old videos and found a video about total miner. I don’t know if I should play this game because it looks scary
If I'm not mistaken you we're a big name world maker back in the day. Crazy how we all grew up with this game
I still have spider sound PTSD so I was constantly putting my thumb over my phone's speaker in anticipation of hearing it in this video. This was Minecraft on Xbox for me before Minecraft was on Xbox.
I constantly think about this game
Wow, Jeff McNewmen is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I used to play this game a lot with him. Solid memories :)
I'm glad other people had that experience with the spider screams
This game is so nostalgic for me. The music, the simplicity, the cursed sound of the spiders, joining random world's and looking around their world. Even when Minecraft came out on Xbox I would always find myself coming back to it. Fuck if I could go back and play it all over again I would in a heartbeat
And the Easter eggs with the seeds like the moon world and all that
@@TxSakura I loved all that too, I wish they had kept the moon and land of the beast but the seeds didn't work after 1.8
Bro this game reminds me of good times. :(
I loaded this game up a few months back on my 360 and went onto my old world I played with friends and I found a sign I left myself that said "Thomas was here 2011" and i thought that was the coolest thing ever.
That's actually amazing
You definitely missed out I grew up playing it
I loved Total Miner back in the day, came across this video in my feed just recently.
Multiplayer is finally out and they added animations to the game fixed most bugzz..
Me and my brother made two worlds that would always be full of players , man i miss those days
I remember playing this with my friend on xbox 360 when I was a kid. This was so much fun and though I never played alot of it I'm sad to see where this game has gone.
this brings back memories from when I used to pay it on xbox with my brother
This brings back memories so much memories and the mob screams Terrified me
Dig Deep is by far my favorite mode to play in...I'm really hoping it gets some love
I was introduced to Minecraft through my friend. But we had been playing this way before that.
This is the game that shaped me into games today
7:21 nah that music killed me 😂 I remember grinding this game on the 360 and found a spawned and kept killing mobs that gave us loot
Bro I forgot about the spiders that hilarious we had it good back in the day
When mining, there was a possibility that a cave could collapse on you. It would start rumbling/shaking as pieces of the roof would fall on you.
