This video made me almost tear up with all the nostalgia that hit, man these days were truly one of a kind. im 23 now, I was 13 when this game first came out ="""(
Good stuff man this game is amazing I played it many many years ago when I was a kid just getting up ready for school and launching Total miner 30 minutes before school every day *Never Forgotten*
weird memories of a very early version of this game around the time Brian Eno's 'Small Craft on a Milk Sea' came out. Downloaded album into the 360's HD and had that as the soundtrack to this game. There were no mobs whatsoever in that early version, cave-ins (random blocks falling) were one of the few things that could kill you
What I loved about the XBOX 360 version: Online was a blast, making equipment and stockpiling lesser equipment in case one died and scavenging items to make money was the pinnacle of preperation alongside my highschool buddies, with taking down Dyrads whom ventured too closely and of course killing ourselfs to unlock the Ninja Outfit. imho I love how nothing has movable limbs and just slides around, it's like they're all just asserting their dominance on everything around them. This only has one issue. _The fucking spiders and their GODDAMN SCREAM._ When Total Miner was a baby, going into the Caves turned the game from an Adventure into a Horror and I can vouch for anyone from the early 360 years who played this, that they crapped themselves and Dashboard'd to safety, after trying to reduce their heartrate.
Lots of great memories from this game and from the development and community around it. I played with and got to know a lot of great builders during my time with TMF on the 360. I still fire it up from time to time.
Seeing how it's now on steam just brought tears of joy to my heart I can remember 10 years ago this WAS literary my fav game I played countless hours of this I remember multiplayer being a thing tho back on 360 ??? But still I will be buying it AGAIN on steam for solo gaming anyways 💚
Total miner was the greatest game in my history of gaming. I fucking miss it.. I wish someone would take over development and bring it back. I remember making my servers and watching players flood in. #RIPTotalMinerForge (pc is an option but its not the same)
OMG YES, 2012 with my pals I do remember this game, I had its melody stuck in my head for years and I was just listening to some dude who narrates creepypastas and the Total miner ost popped in the background, I knew I've heard it somewhere, gsus that game have so much potential
Wish they'd come out with some kind of update for total miner pc. Even a small one but it feels like the devs got their thumbs up their asses for the last few years
From what I understand, the game is under a new development team. But it takes a while for the team to learn the code and how to implement new content without breaking the game.
There was a thing that happened with the store block It would warn you if you went to low with the shop block Course I went to 3000 blocks down and then placed the shop block even though it really tried to make me place it higher
I played this and showed it to my friends. They were like "wtf?" Then Minecraft came out and they loved it and I was like "YOU HATED IT WHEN I SHOWED YOU THE SAME GAME MONTHS AGO"
Same dude! I loved it! I spend 100s-1000s hours ! I had Xbox live for 17 years and so far this is my favorite game through out all the years! You're playing PC total miner lol.
Oh my god I still love this game cause it’s content. I play it online on this type of maps where u have to farm ur gold and buy items and upgrade ur loot and so on i even played it on an normal map with some good friend and also scripted some item in my own single player world with my friend.
Are the caves fun to explore? I have really been into Minecraft and cave diving videos lately, and this game popped up as a recommendation for its heavier focus on caves. But are they fun to explore? Is there variety to the visuals down there? Or is it just that grey stuff we see in the video?
So the caves definitely are not nearly as fleshed out as Minecraft caves are. But they are fun to explore. Especially because of the amount of loot you can get while you’re down there. It’s also just a fun challenge to try and get to the bottom. But I can say that it is mostly grey as seen in the video until you reach the bottom. Then the bottom is a bit more exciting.
Man this brings me back when I played this on my Xbox 360 with my brothers. We would PVP with grenade launchers and spawn a bunch of buildings xD good times.
I don’t know if you’ll respond but what other games were like Total Miner, Fortresscraft, and Castleminer Z that went from the Xbox 360 to Steam. Also loved the video!
Hey! Thanks for the comment! There are a few games that made it's way on PC. As you listen, Total Miner, FortessCraft and CastleMiner Z have all made their way to steam. I'm not sure if you remember Avatar Adventurer's, but that's playable on the Windows Store as well as a handful of other titles. Here's a link to that video: ruclips.net/video/sNgHRn5RoVY/видео.html
I remember me and 4 friends played for 14 hours straight. We got to hell and finally could get a titanium pick. We literally passed it around and shared it for a good ten minutes... Then the fucking game crashed. All of our progress gone and never touched dig deep again. We Spent the remaining time doing the ones where you mine blocks and gain money so basically a tycoon. Haven't touched the game in Almost a decade. Gonna buy it when i get paid next week. Although i can probably never get those old memories back they were really fun as a 12 year old.
The developer plans to release the game on the Xbox One and PS4 after the game comes out of Early Access on PC. Although, I'm sure that by the time this happens, the Series X and PS5 will be out. So we'll see what happens. At this time, Total Miner is only playable on PC and Xbox 360.
Great video! Do you know if this game is still being developed, if so by who? I feel like if there were some quality of life improvements as well as some additional content added I honestly feel like it could be better than Minecraft.
Trolling in this game was so funny, without online this game is ruined. I mean, me and my brother played to get all available skins but this game was so glitched and we lost our skins again and again. (My brother did the invader man skin requirement more than everyone else in this game.) (He was very high level with skills too, but I didn't liked skills since I never liked doing the same thing again and again.) Maps got destroyed by upgrades and hackers trying to destroy world by using bedrock. (In Dig Deep, if you put bedrock in the surface the game will start glitching a lot.) So since playing offline was useless, we played online to destroy people servers with glitches and obliterating some orphans in the golden age PVP of TMF with the battle axe + ice ring and cakes. In Minecraft im weak, but in TM I was an unstoppable force, the most ominous message an host could see is "[My name] joined the game." I have actually too much to talk about this game, so yeah seeing people from 2020 talking about it is cool. Even if its because of Steam.
Acctually, this game must have been updated greatly since it's release, at one point I thought it was a different game until I saw the blueprints and heared that iconic music, that soundtrack alone took me back to being a kid.
If you were a fan of those old Xbox Indie Games, check out my new video! ruclips.net/video/sNgHRn5RoVY/видео.html
The nostalgia nearly put me in a coma, I haven’t played Total Miner in almost a decade
Me too, man. Jumping back in this game felt like I was watching films from my childhood. It's nice to be able to play this game again.
Total miner and Castel Miner Z(this one gave me nightmares when I was little) spent a while on my cousin's Xbox playing these games
Wow! I did not expect this video to get so much attention. It really makes me happy to see! Thank you all! 💚

@@J_C_H_D Thank you a lot for the help! I'll still probably give it a try. It's only $3, after all.
@@paulw858 For sure! You can go wrong! And if I’m not mistaken, we should be in store for an update pretty soon.
so much memories
That shot at 8:28 was ridiculous!
You’re not gonna talk about the spiders?……. Those scared me so much when I was a kid
Man this brings me back when I played this on my Xbox 360 with my brothers. We would PVP with grenade launchers and spawn a bunch of buildings xD good times.

i miss the kevin macleod music in it.
This is what me and my friends played before minecraft came out on 360
Great video dude! There’s still a community around too! Be sure to check out the discord if you haven’t already!
Jamie T Thank you! Glad you liked it! I will totally check out the discord.
What’s the song that starts around 3:08? It’s so familiar to me but I can’t place it.
The song is called "Folk Around" by Kevin McLeod. Thanks for checking out my video! :)
I played this one with zombies to that would freak me out when I was 7 I can’t figure out what it’s called
Was it Castleminer Z, by chance?
Miss this game It was so great. I put countless hours into this game online.
I wish this was on Switch and had MMO
Do an updated video
I put countless hours into this game on 360. It may be unlikely, but I hope it makes a return to console some day. Maybe for the Xbox 1X and/or PS5
This was an incredible video thank you for the nostalgia trip!:)
god i miss this game.

Holy crap ... this $3 game has blocks and shapes in it that MineCraft still doesn't have !
I'm still hoping someday it will come to xbox one
Or come back to xbox 360
Multiplayer is out on pc now ! Come play my server is up :)

This game is $2 and is still amazing
Wait... that's the objective of the game? I never truly experienced this game. I just build a stupid house and messed around on or near the surface.

I came here because of ted Nivison and I will continue because this game looks better than minecraft
