      I memorized this exact line from stockfish and went from 1000 to 1550 in 2 months. Just use engine to analyze your games and memorize the best moves and don't give up!

    It's unclear if ...g5 is the strongest move for black. It's certainly one of the main lines.

    So what if when white started attacking the king black played knight to H6 instead of moving the bishop? Wouldn’t that stop everything black wants to do?

    Funny, i literally had a game exactly like that but i knew everything up until be7 was theory, or at least that g2 sacrificing the queen is a mistake and the correct follow up being qh5, be7, kxf7

      Only slows things. White plays d4 threatening to take knight with bishop in next move reinforcing the threat.

      Even my 1,500 friend can.
      Traps are very risky and kings gambit is not really a good choice above 1,800 anymore.
