Thanks a lot Igor! I've been looking for someone to cover up the sicilian defence in general to kickstart my sicilian defence journey and you did just that!
Caro-Khan player here. Thinking of taking the plunge with the Sicilian. Wondering whats the best variation for beginners? I use the Alapin against it when white which I really enjoy. Keep up the good work with these videos.
As a beginner in chess, I really thankful for you making this sicilian defense video, I tend to play as white easily but when it comes to me to play as black I always wonder what opening I should use😃
Can you consider adding the notation of each move in the corner of the screen above your head? It would be helpful for not taking thanks! Love your videos
Nobody plays these white variations. Most ppl plays super aggressive against this and starts attacking immediately with the Queen. I notice now that you avoid showing what really is played in a lot of these openings.
I really like this defense because I like playing the perk defense along with a Sicilian Defense so I like learning things that I could easily move into other things I know in the opening
9:37 min : It cannot be the "French Variation" of the Sicilian Defense since Paulsen was a German chess player.. therefore, it should be called "the German variation of Paulsen (aka Paulsen Variation)" !
Very interesting summary except that the bowder is not as bad as you say after Bc4 whatever the order if after Kc6 you answer --> Kf3, e6 --> Qe2 (little trap against d5), Kf6 --> Kc3, a6 --> a4...it's pefectly fine, and it's an easy-to-learn way to keep playing an italian-like game against a sicilian player.
At 6:00, you say that White must move his king. But actually he can and should play 8.Qe2. Black is already a little better, but it beats moving the king.
I've played Sicilian for almost 5 months and couldnt find any repertoire or game plan against the delayed alapin , can you please make a video about how to play against delayed alapin? Because as a najdorf player i always struggle about it.
I would gladly pay for a deep dive course on the Paulson/Kan variation. Struggling to find comprehensive theory on this. (How play 2…E6 against mainline, marockzy, alapin, smith mora, mainline traps etc)
I just discovered that I play a non-existing oppening, I play sicilian but its not any of this 😂 C5 Nc4 E5 B4 Ne3 Bb2 KB1 The logic I SEE is that You defend a Lot the e5 pawn while defending your knight from attacks and You can get out the other bishop, attack with the knight at d4 if no defense on there Although this is difficult to use against fried liver, since its attack gets there before You can finish your opening, and if an attacks gets there it's difficult, since no defense on f7
At lower elo the Sicilian is very effective, its the only opening i play vs e4 and i win most of the time, ive faced the bowdler attack too many times lol
I'm not good at chess because it consumed alot of time, and I can easily ger tired. It is like it is a game of RICH KIDS with alot of pass time. Anyways, SICILLIAN DEFENSE is VERY PROUD SHOUTING IN MY EAR. It is like an UNBEATABLE SICILLY part of ITALY ROME. Let us review first chess. Chess is games of kings so they have alot passtime of course, not worried too much for their foods and so on. There is another game with the same timeline, that is DAMA, the games of EMPIRES, obviously empires is always on rush that is why DAMA is their chosen game. Let us go back to CHESS and the VERY FAMOUS BELL RINGING SICILLIAN DEFENSE. I guess, if that kind of moves is sicillian defense, i bet it is just as loussy as its names. White did not open the first pawn just to open the second one. That pawn means PRESSURE to the black, and white should keep pressing the pressure with the objectives of CHECKMATE or ELIMINATE all or DRAW. If white stops keeping pressing the pressure and one pawn move advantage was takeb by black then there is a tendency that resulting battle advantage will be taken also by black.
This lesson was both informative and funny. Ha, linking the Sicilian with the mafia and pizza. Please train yourself to speak a little slower, sir, so we can better enjoy your sense of humor.
it makes me so fking angry how fast all chess tutorials rush by the starting moves as if everyone looking this up already knows it or is a 1500+ . It's impossible to follow along with my own board with any of these videos without pausing every 3 seconds and even of i did i would still miss something because you do 5 moves in a second then when i try to listen to your strategy i get behind on the moves. Also not everyone has chess notation memorized cause we are new players so how does it help to say "we move this piece here because....bla bla bla n4n6b3n7n4vrn6n4b3....that means nothing to us because we can't possibly comprehend all of those squares and pieces instantly and then we're already moving on to the next move. I guess all content is designed for us to stare at the screen and go to the next vod cause people only really care about views on their videos
Go on the upper right corner of the video, click on settings and change the play back speed. The video will go to the slowest pace possible as you want.
Can someone explain me why everyone plays Bishop early (g5) to threat the horse (f6) that is protected by the pawns? Bishop ain't suppose to have more value than a horse? And If the bishop don't wanna trade, you can push It back with the corner's pawn (h6)... I can't get It
0:10 Im not a statistic scientist but I dont think Chess is more popular than women I mean When was the last time you heard a guy not knowing what a woman is
Why are you teaching us Sicilan Defense when you teach us how to play against it? Edit:I came back after 6 months and OMG I have the most liked comment. It’s like I started a war in my reply section.

I started playing Sicilian about 2 hours ago. This is great!
How good are you know in the scicillian defense
Thanks a lot Igor! I've been looking for someone to cover up the sicilian defence in general to kickstart my sicilian defence journey and you did just that!

so many Sicilian variations to learn! great tutorial Igor!
I would appreciate a video on some Queen's Gambit plans for white. Your short reviews of fundamental openings are great
I've been looking for a video like this for a while. Thanks for making it.
Best you tube channel for advice. No click bait just straight up theory, I love this channel.
As a beginner in chess, I really thankful for you making this sicilian defense video, I tend to play as white easily but when it comes to me to play as black I always wonder what opening I should use😃
😀. Play caro kann😍and Sicilian
The Sicilian is extremely difficult as a beginner, very complicated.
Thanks, I've been waiting for this.
This an awesome video and explains very well! I started practicing a few hours ago and I feel like this is a great way to start this out
Glad it was helpful!
I am going to be signing up for your classes. I enjoy your videos I watch all of them and learn so much.
Very good video. Thank you so much!
When I was trying to learn the Accelerated Dragon I kept finding myself in the Rossolimo. I missed that one on the list.
Try hyper ACC dragon..U will avoid rosolimo at all and it is the best sicilian fr me also ..g6 ...2nd move....and U aim to play d5 in one go...
I like the najdorf variation
Najdorf and accelerated dragon
Can you consider adding the notation of each move in the corner of the screen above your head? It would be helpful for not taking thanks! Love your videos
I like your videos . Your the best teacher for me in chess🥂- your fan from kerala
You earned your like for that pizza and women joke sir
I believe the 2.Nc3 closed sicilian was also worth including. Otherwise, great vid
Nobody plays these white variations. Most ppl plays super aggressive against this and starts attacking immediately with the Queen. I notice now that you avoid showing what really is played in a lot of these openings.
I feel the same way but I’m also rated pretty low. So I guess it comes down to learning how to punish earlier aggression.
Yes I think he's showing us the most solid white moves, so if white doesn't play this way, I think that our position is even more advantageous
These are the main lines with some extra moves, obviously you can't show every possible attack
You must be rated below 1600
No way white plays with queen against sicilian. Either you are below 800 elo. Or you don't have any idea about the theory and main lines
Thank you for doing my request !☺️😊
Hello Igor, thanks for your work, I really enjoy learning from you. I would love to see a variation on Sicilian kan

Thank u for this video

We need a detailed tutorial on Taimanov Sicilian
2:42 the Bon Jovi's reference is crazy🤣
Very interesting summary except that the bowder is not as bad as you say

Thanks very much Sir
At 6:00, you say that White must move his king. But actually he can and should play 8.Qe2. Black is already a little better, but it beats moving the king.
If they do that, you just trade queens and force the white king to capture your queen, losing white’s right to check
One of the best teacher on RUclips for ethical hacking 😁
What do i do if they put the queen on c3 in 11:00
Thanks a lot! Just played a sicilian today and didn't really know how to develop so ended with a draw.
I've played Sicilian for almost 5 months and couldnt find any repertoire or game plan against the delayed alapin
, can you please make a video about how to play against delayed alapin?
Because as a najdorf player i always struggle about it.
Hey, there is also the novel Mario Puzo!
I played this, and I've got 99.5% accuracy.
I played Budapest Gambit and got 100 accuracy
What's your rating
which variation?
2. Bc4, the "I don't know how to play variation", has a real nice ring to it :D
Make a full video about Sicilian Kan varaition
In Accelerated Dragon, doesn't White have Portsmouth Gambit?
узнал много нового про альткоины из твоего обзора я даже не думал, что сейчас есть столько крутых перспективных монеток
Teach us about Sicilian women too GM!
I would gladly pay for a deep dive course on the Paulson/Kan variation. Struggling to find comprehensive theory on this. (How play 2…E6 against mainline, marockzy, alapin, smith mora, mainline traps etc)
Intro 10/10.
Would give 11 if I could.
Mengarini variation?
What should I do if the pawn strikes my horse then it will not be like the splitting that you showed us
I always promote my Nf3 after e4.
Legendary intro
Its never gonna work as a low rated player cauee of opponent gonna play random shitty move all the time
Heh. I always thought "dragon" because the bishop behind the knight was like a dragon breathing fire.
You forgot the Jalalabad Variation.
Sir I think you missed the katalimov variation
i always castled at the exact moment where you said that and the first time i don’t, i win for the first time, with no queen
solid explanation
I just discovered that I play a non-existing oppening, I play sicilian but its not any of this 😂

The logic I SEE is that You defend a Lot the e5 pawn while defending your knight from attacks and You can get out the other bishop, attack with the knight at d4 if no defense on there
Although this is difficult to use against fried liver, since its attack gets there before You can finish your opening, and if an attacks gets there it's difficult, since no defense on f7
Can you play some live games please
Thanks Igor! I wish you can make more crush courses like this.
All Hail GM Smirnov ❤
the "I don't know how to play variation" 💀
At lower elo the Sicilian is very effective, its the only opening i play vs e4 and i win most of the time, ive faced the bowdler attack too many times lol
What variation do you play?
*"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."* __
one thing not covered is what do you do if they take the pawn with the queen on d4
As a begineer watched this s - defence video went straight into match guess what i moved my c4 then white moved the queen to h5 i guess.😮
Faltou a Scheveningen e a hiperacelerada.
bro i played this smiith morra gambit many times lol cause i just like to push queen pawn
O'kelly variation??
Similar to the kings English opening
Once you see your Everest it’s all downhill from there😢
who wants to get GM title? ❤❤🎉
FIDE is selling them at a discount, I hear.
Like it's selling in the shop you go and buy and get it 😂 (you have to achieve it actually)
didn't cover the Mengarini Sicilian (the best variation for white against the Sicilian) 😂
Tremendo
Yugoslav attack: Bon Jovi variation
I'm not sure if I learn more about chess or bon Jovi
you forgot hyper excel dragon

Dragon variation

They play the chess to get to the pizza and women.
Sicilian women? You like live a dangerous life !!
Closed Sicilian?

Igor needs to speak more slowly, and let the viewer evaluate the position. He has no pause between sentences.
It's almost like there should be a button for that...
Go on the upper right corner of the video, click on settings and change the play back speed. The video will go to the slowest pace possible as you want.

When was the last time you heard a guy not knowing what a woman is
5:30 bro if they play pawn e5 and then black plays d5 then they can take en passant and blacks position crumbles
O
Why are you teaching us Sicilan Defense when you teach us how to play against it?
Edit:I came back after 6 months and OMG I have the most liked comment.
It’s like I started a war in my reply section.
Can you survive against Vishy anand if he play Sicilian defence?
Why teach you how to play with the black pieces when he teaches how to play with the white pieces? Because it's chess.
@@nicallen2137 i don't understand what you want to say? Can you please say little bit clearly
He’s basically saying he’s teaching from all point of views
The best way to study an opening is to learn on both white and black side, karpov and kramnik do it as well
Sicillian women,
Haha siciliano defence in 15 min good joke.
that dragon scared the living hell out of me😭😭😭😭😭😭
