      Yeah it's incredible how the same positions / games appear all over the place. I've only read 2 tactics books in my whole life, and by the 2nd queen sac I instantly remembered this position from the book. Not to mention while reading the 2nd book (which came out before the first book I read) I noticed a lot of the same stuff was in book one. But hey, different words. lol.

    At 6:33 after queen to d7 we place white queen to c7
    Now the variation are
    1. If queen takes on c7 rook to e8 then black rook takes on e8 and white rook takes back on e8 and its mate
    2. If white rook takes on e8 then again same things and its a mate
    3. If it doesnt takes our queen then simply we can take the queen (if defends with rook then again same things a mate with two rooks

  • @chesscat9048
    @chesscat9048 Год назад +2

    I saw everything! My calculations are like this: I have a lot of attackers on the e file so I gotta make an attack, but the queen and rooks are defending. Therefore, I must deflect one of the defenders with a piece which is not an attacker. So queen to g4 , trying to deflect the black queen. The black queen needs to keep defending while escaping, so xx. … Qb5. Then you keep trying to deflect the defenders (the rook and the queen) with Qc4. The black queen runs again (while defending the rook on the e file). As you can see, the amount of squares where the black queen can move to is decreasing. Well, you continue this logic and finally you force the queen away and win. Pawn to a4 is a great move because it deflects the black queen away again. If the black queen takes then you go Re4 and continue to try deflecting the black queen away. And once the queen is deflected, you can force a win. So basically everything is about a tactic called DEFLECTION

    the engine at 8:30 says that h4 for black is a good option and there's opportunities afterwards for white to make easy mistakes to even up. its not a lost position. the eval bar on the right even shows this. If after h4 the white rook takes the black queen this is actually +1 for black because after rxe1 with check and knight takes back we have rxc7.

    Would queen to b5 also work at 6:37?

    • @thechessnerd
      @thechessnerd  Год назад

      Good question, thank you for asking it. The idea with the move played Qc7 is that we want to deflect either the black queen off of the e8 square or the black (c8) rook off of the e8 square.
      Basically, if you can get any of those two black pieces off of that e8 square we win (because we take on e8 twice and checkmate the black king).
      Now let’s breakdown your suggestion Qb5. We are threatening to deflect the black. Once black takes our queen (Qxb5) there is a small issue. The queen is deflected off its own square d7 but still defends the crucial square e8.
      Thus, after Qb5, Qxb5 we cannot take the black rook twice in a row for checkmate because black still defends those.
      The Qc7 move however pressure TWO pieces OFF of e8.
      Hope this helped ❤️

    Black could’ve played rook to f8 during the brilliant move where they resigned. Then they might have a chance to win?

    Queen xc8 queen xc8 rook xe8 queen xe8 rook xe8 at 6:17. Am I missing something or isn't that mate instead of doing the queen sacs

    what about qe2 by black at 7:47

      Simply Rxe2 and you can't take the rook or the queen
      If Rxc7 then Rxe8 is mate
      If Rxe2 then Qxc8+ followed by Qxd8+ and Qxe8+ after rook and bishop block is mate
      If black plays a random move like h6 after you take the queen with the rook then simply Rxe8+ and you have a queen for a rook
