To build an ol" school bobber: 1. Shovelhead or Panhead motor 2. Split gas tanks 3. Springer frontend (no fender and stock length, front brake optional) 4. Suicide shift transmission 5. 16 inch spoked wheels (front and rear) 6. A glide front fender (in the rear) 7. Dual exhaust w/cocktail shaker mufflers 8. Color scheme (dark) with Chrome 9. Handlebars (your choice)
Bobber is more my thing than chopper, but I'm old school cafe to the core. Low and long works for me flat or even dropped bars, springer forks, tear drop tank, side by side shotgun pipes - brass tipped? Possibly use a lot of brass bits like headlamp shell, tail light etc to give it a steam punk vibe.
Mate i think literally just build it out of whatever spare parts you can scrounge around the shop, whether they fit or not. And if they don’t, just make ‘em 😆 can’t wait to see what you come up with! 🤙🏼🔥
I would say go with the tall bars a peanut style tank and a springer front end. For the wheels and tires put a wide tire on both the front and rear 16 inch and paint it old school flat black and red
5 min in of a 10 min video and I'm still waiting to watch you build something. I guess I will take a nap and hopefully we get something going when I wake up.
I reckon you should build a hybrid sports bike/ bobber. Upside down forks twin disc breaks. Mid controls. Longer clip on bars. Something more in tune with you and the kind of riding that you enjoy
Ape handlebars, and I think you should make a chopper, I mean king and queen seat, long sissy bar, you actually used to build a bobber, maybe a little change 💪🏼🙏🏼 thanks for the video!
Depending on how thick you want it to look, we use 25x4 cds tube for the slim look and 33x4 cds tube for the thicker look. Of course DOM is ok to use. Its the builders choice apparently.
My dad last month out of nowhere he confessed his love to bikes to me like my whole life he didn't mention that at all So were in our first week building a bike with my dad Let me tell u i feel on top of the world rn Its like a dream building a bike with ur father in the garage can't wait to drive it
Use a 6over 39 mm front end and rabbit ear handlebars. Mid controls and 16” wheels front and back. Get you a stock sportster tank and cut it and narrow it. Then mount it on top of the top tube. I built almost the same setup. I run a 21” front wheel and forward controls but I’m a bit tall. It’s a very laid back and comfortable ride.
Understand that I personally have anything against a sporty engine, and that frames a sporty... But honestly? DO A FRKN SHOVELHEAD! I mean if yooz truly want to build something old school yet affordable... (If possible over there) I've just started another shovel build. Using a Paughco frame, a used 3" BDL I picked up on the cheap, & trying o e of those 'factory lookalike' springers coming out of India. Dig your page guys, regardless, n tell your pops I'm truly sorry bout the finger thing 😣 keep up the good work ~
What about doing a royal enfield 650 interceptor , i think as they are selling like hot cakes it could be another great idea !!!! Ok ...i've got one myself .....and if you do decide to build one i would be interested in buying parts from you . Take care on the road fellas and stay safe.
Hey all, you could stretch and split the tank maybe widening it as it wont hold much petrol after that !!! bringing it really low to hoover over the engine also fabricate an air filter with similar shape of the tank or even getting some cones through it somehow, springer forks or even girdlers, 21 inch wheel, and may be some unconventional headlamp fairing sort of split in 2 also to follow the tank...some beach bar so have this sort skinny bike but with large bars (not too wide tho lol )some pie cut exhaust stainless flowing with the engine but should see how the bike look first👊👍 would love to see it come to live...
Keeping it skinny and silky smooth...land speed style would ring the bell for me. Can't go wrong with brass accents...as long as you never polish it. Cheers
Simple functional style with MINT-spirit is amazing. Glad you're back! The bar should give the bike a flat line. Wheels like the one with the red tank looks great. So front a bit larger rocks! Great challenge using mostly parts already available. 👌 You will make it! Take care and all the best! ✌️🤘
The frame looks like a Sportster frame. Trying to adapt it for a different engine is going to be a big job. But since I'm about three months behind watching this in late Nov, you may have already figured that out. I'll be watching your progress.

That would be awesome!!!
Only thing I’d add is that ULH or Knuckles make cool bobbers, too.

You read my mind exactly! I’m looking for parts as we speak 🤣
16" front fat tyre, mini apes with mid controls and Peanut tank. But what ever you pick will be maaaaad!
We will be trying this front end in episode 2 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@ParryBrothers Spot on! 🔥🔥🔥 looking forward too it 👌🏼
I fully agree with everything the Two Wheeled Traveller said, matt black for the main color and red rims with whitewalls.

DOM is the builders choice 👍
A 70's chopper! Do it! Do it good! Come on Man !
That would be awesome!
How u putting that rubber mount Sportster engine in a pre 03 solid mount frame and want a fender that fits nicer than the one with the springers ha
We're not using that motor because its a rubber mount and its mine for a special project not for Sam to use. Stay tuned for the motor we use. 👍😁
haha how did you notice that! we find an awesome motor to fit in the next episode
I just came upon your site. Don't know how I missed it. But we're all in. Looking foward to your build. RMM

Great to hear! Good luck with the build, send us pics when it’s done! 🤙🏻
rn I'm trying to convert my enduro into a bobber gonna try and keep the aesthetic of a dirt bike will keep the traditional features of a bobber

Like the tank split idea
how about a guzzi engine, but longways?
make a flat tracker style harley
That would be so cool!
Keeping it skinny and silky smooth...land speed style would ring the bell for me.

Awesome to hear that you'll be going through in a bit more details.
Also - New apparel designs sounds pretty f''king awesome ;)
Use a short springer with a 16” front wheel! That’ll be sweet. Dig the flat-bottom early 90’s tank you liked.
Leaf spring front end and a 16in front wheel
quick question love the look of the rear tire but what exactly is it called if i want to buy one? thank you love the build!!
The tyres are a set of Avon’s

Hell yeah!
4” under springer front end 16” front wheel fat tyre and 10” apes
Oh and a frisco style sportster tank classic bobber looks
👌🏻👏🏻

I'm starting out on this journey today, after 10 years of playing with cars my research begins into bikes! What model was the original frame from?
Harley sportster 1995
Build a stroker ironhead!!!!!!
I can’t find the merch on your online shop. Any pointers?
It’s being released on Saturday!! 🤘🏻🔥
No front fender
Bobber on a budget - starts with a Harley...
It's a shame you can't salvage that swingarm for the front suspension. Everyone would hate it, but ...
It would be funny to do and see the reaction 🤣
