Building a motorcycle frame | Part. 1
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 сен 2024
- In this video I show you the construction of a motorcycle frame, the original was so badly damaged that this had to be completely rebuilt.
Also in this video I use mainly standard tools that should be found in most metal workshops.
The frame is built from chromo steel ( 25CrMo4 )
This is not a complete motorcycle project, but I show you the interesting fabrication steps.
Have fun watching.

No crappy music, No annoying banter, just absolute artistry
Sorry I just cannot find any possible way to praise the work like this. So I simply liked and left a meaningless comment here to show my respect.
Exactly!
Thanks
This guy is probably a surgeon making frames in his spare time :-D
👍
well said
The square tube collet is so simple yet so effective, I am in awe of your craftsmanship!
Aerospace level precision. It was so satisfying to see the way the pieces fit together.
Thanks
Shear precision, craftsmanship at it’s finest. Thanks.
Ok you've taken what used to be simple cut and weld to fit and turned it into precision craftsmanship. Im not sure its a good thing, but your definitely an artist.
this design is absolutely beautiful, your compound angle tube notching skills are unparalleled!
Never get tired of watching the videos, your craftmenship and engineering sense, never cease to amaze me.
Damn, you're good. But you already know that. Thank you for sharing your genius. I'm a retired aero engineer, and I learned new things here.
Thank you, I am glad to hear that my videos are also educational.
Thanks for watching
There's not much that's more satisfying than a really precise tubing fit up
Having that spindle n chuck on the indexing table makes it popular as a go to!
Nice workmanship with the tube notching, makes a big difference in the build quality. This man is a patient and thorough skilled tradesman.
Been working on a design for a bike for awhile now but didn't know how I would tackle the frame.... this is super helpful. Excellent video!
I've watched several builders make frames for motorcycles but never like this one. Awesome job 👍
Thank you
10:19 😅 I know that feeling. Fantastic work BTW 👏 👍 👌
This is fast becoming one of my favourite channels, pure class , love it🙂

Thank you
I just came across this site and immediately subscribed. Combined with the 46works channel you get a complete view of the art of motorcycle design and construction. Excellent stuff!
This video is helping me on my way to build a fully custom bike just gathering knowledge at the moment and this helped a lot
An absolute pleasure to watch a master craftsman , finally someone who works to zero tolerance 👏🙌👌👍
Thank you for watching
@@KRTframework what is the size of the tubes ? And thickness
Just beautiful to watch someone that is so good at what they do! Mesmerising!
Your precision is truly outstanding. I use your videos to relieve stress. Amazing work, a true master.
This video is oddly satisfying and oddly kinda creepy at the same time. Love the craftsmanship and machine work is incredible.
Thanks
The jig in its own right is a masterpiece!! Amazing work
Thank you
There's artistry, and then there's this guy. TIG welding: the gentleman's approach to welding....
This is not just metal fabrication anymore, this is fucking art! This is no doubt my new favorite fab channel on YT (and I follow a couple lol).
Thank you very much ;)
Ein Künstler der seine Kunst beherrscht, große Achtung ⚠️
Just look at the welds on the jig even... I was laughing to myself because I was thinking this fits that stereotype of German engineering precision then looked up the channel information. Well surprise surprise. haha. You do beautiful work. It's always a joy being able to watch a true craftsman.
Supreme craftsmanship. Looking forward to more 👍
Absolute class craftsmanship
WoW. What a fantastic workshop being controlled by a Master Craftsman. I'm subscribing so I can watch more of your fantastic skills!
Thank you for watching
I love the fact that you are meticulous about deburring even the edges that will never be seen. Excellent craftsmanship.
I See the edges, but it is better for welding ;)
@@KRTframework I've worked with welders that won't deburr the inside of the tubing. Won't clean off the table. Drives me crazy.
Yes
Lovely to watch mate, looking forward to this series 👍🏻🇦🇺
First i found born co chanel they were awesome than i came across 46 works he is genius but this guy is master
You have a gift sir! A great workshop too, but your gift is greater! You have my admiration.
Thank you very much
Clean, Lean and Elegant. Pleasure to see this kind of work.
I want your machine shop. It seems like heaven.
Eine wunderschöne Arbeit und wirklich interessante Detailarbeiten. Sehr angenehmes Video, solch kunstvoller Arbeit zuschauen zu dürfen entspannt und beruhigt. Ich freue mich schon auf Part 2.
Danke dir.
10:20 nothing more frustrating than getting something in position, just to realize you’ve left your marker behind
5 times a day, minimum 😂
@@KRTframework any advice for a newbie that wants to learn how to build his own motorcycle frame i follow you 💯 from 🇨🇦 #YSW
No words found to praise his skills... Love from the State of Tamil Nadu, Indian Union.
Thanks
Lovely to watch mate, looking forward to
Not only the skill to do such work but the tools....man you must be very proud of your shop. I feel the machines you have to do this type of work are just as impressive...your knowledge to use them to execute your designs....outstanding
Yeah. Top quality stuff. Production tube bender? Wow
Thank you very much, it also took some time to learn it and get the machines
An excellent specialist for a top quality work. Not sure however than a similar frame in carbon fiber would cost more with a good gain in weight and rigidity.
Our guy is surgical with that holesaw.
That’s ART really awesome 👏 and waiting for next parts .amazing workpiece 👍
Красота в мелочах!
Absolute stunning and clean work! Curious on the end result and the bike fully build!
Keep on going love your videos
Such skilled craftsmanship wow
watching this I feel I am obliged to say something. but all in my head is just WOW!
this type of motorcycle frame its 1980, looking EGLI,MOKO,RAU,i drive this bike many years and its beautiful, greatings from a swissbiker
Thank you, yes the frame is built after Egli model, because I have a destroyed frame here.
Greetings from Germany
I long waited for a quality production in both film and build. Here it is.
Keep it up sirs!
Thanks
Very nice full with art, precise, patients remind me with my uncle hobby.👍👍👍
Excellent work, very interesting use of the fly cutter to get the angle against the neck tube!
unfortunately i didn't have a cutter with the right diameter, but if need be i can use a flycutter, not so nice, but it works
@@KRTframework Oh I wasn't criticising at all, I thought it was an interesting solution and it worked nicely
i wanna leave where i live and come work and learn what u r doing here sir...... seriously i wanna learn how to build bikes sooooooo bad. thanks for the education.
5:36 that bending mechanism is freaking creative
You are an Artisan, your work is supreme and beautiful to watch your art take shape. Stunning work you are doing. Thanks for sharing your incredible skill and talent.
Thank you
Damn dude, you’re not Fing around as they say.
Cool 😎
Buen Trabajo !!!!!!! Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Danke dir.
great job it's a pleasure to see your work
Perfect work, colleague!
Sehr schöne Arbeit, ein Genuss zuzuschauen.
Danke sehr
excellent craftsmanship
Thanks for sharing love your videos and your craftsmanship and the simplicity of your frame jig impressive
Thanks
😱😱😱, such precision, true craftsmanship, much respect, you earn yourself a subscriber, 👏👏👏
Thank you
Sir, hat's off to your skills 🎩🙅♂️
Extremely satisfying 👌🏼
I’m in awe.
Brilliant fabrication
I hope the final result, shines...as the preparation has...👍👍
It’s like watching a pastry chef build and decorate a cake, without running to the pantry!
Awesome Video! This goes to show that you do not need a bunch of voiceover or music throughout a video to make it thoroughly entertaining. One question though, What is the point in drilling the holes where the tubes meet the main backbone and head tube?
I drill the holes so that I can get shielding gas into the frame during welding. you can also see this in the Part. 2, which is now online.
I like how the welds on your stand used to line up and support the frame look infinitely better than the welds on my cheap ass motorcycle's frame itself...
Präzise Arbeit, freu mich auf den 2.Teil
Parabéns pela execução do projeto e parabéns pela oficina, invejável.
Un vero carpentiere al lavoro,ottimo.
BEAUTIFUL WORK
Awesome You Sir are a Legend.
Talking about legends, I was lucky enough to have a frame almost identical made by a New Zealander called John Apple ( I think) back in the early eighties with a Kawa Z 900 spirit engine from Croz's qualifying at Susuka, a wicked bike. I became friends with Steve Harris in the UK and got to taste some of the best rigs welded together so far and lushed out on Bimota's when money was flush...I hope this add weight to your comment because I agree.
I have only rebuilt a legendary frame, the frame is an Egli replica, but I appreciate your words, but I still plan to build my own frame with a Ducati engine
You are one very talented young man.
Thanks
That was fun to watch, I’d guess it was even more fun to do! Subscribed looking forward to the rest of the series.
Cheers
Thank you
Such love into the work ... I like handwork builds.
This is insane! I love it… 👌🏻
Superbly done...thank you very much for sharing
Глаз радуется.. Мастер.
Herrlich. Ich freue mich immer, wenn du ein neues Video postest. Danke 🙏
Ich Danke fürs zuschauen :)
Insane work! Keep it coming!
Next level crafstmanship
Woow amazing thank you for sharing
You are genius like a me.
I knew there was a good reason why I subscribed 👍
Excellent work. Keep it up.
''Respect'', top work!
Im assuming that’s ChroMoly tubing by the way it appears ( I know I’m watching from my phone) to be tough to cut with machine tooling, strong rigid and durable.
Looks good
I'd feel absolutely terrible asking this guy for a discount. Lol
outstanding 💎💎💎💎💎💎
That looks awesome!
Lovely work. Do you make a new frame fixture for each frame you build? I notice this one has a fixed headstock angle...
Macht Spaß zuzusehen 👍
Danke
That is a thing of total beauty ,,,
what sort of tube is it , it seems to cut well.
Its 25CrMo4
Impeccable work!
