Our halligans also have that V shapped notch which is adapted for the euro profile locks. However it's not going to effectively bite onto the lock. The best method is to twist and the cylinder housing will eventually snap.
@ yea I do that with mole grips easy enough but on the pump we have a euro puller tool. That this lock tool goes with. So I was curious why it’s with the halligan. Makes sense as it’ll definitely do the job of snapping one I suppose
Oh i see what you mean! It's called an "architect key" in Germany. So let's say you snap the lock, you still have to turn the deadbolt, meaning you have to rotate the inside mechanism once or twice.
I think they are just trying to give you tools for a harder and a gentler forced entry. I wouldn't know why, if I'm going gentle I'll get my toolbox out.
