That would fill up quick hahah I needed to be cutting to keep up with dad. He quickly caught up I gave him like 20 rounds to start and he blew through that
Great seeing you in the Woodyard with Jay, reminds me working with my dad. The work is nice but working with my dad is the best pay day ever. I am sure Jay would.d say the same working with you Jim. ☺️👍🏻
Nice video Jay That was a production Day ! It feels good when a day goes well and you can see the big results !! Do you have room to expand your wood yard to double the size ?? Wow on there is no doubt about that you have a USED tractor 😊
Nice job Jay!! My 6048 sprung a leak the other day. Went out to load and there was some steam near the service door and i knew rt away it wasnt good. The flange shutoff valve had a pinwhole leak. Lost maybe 10 gallons. Not too bad. Got the part today tomorrows project to repair. I feel guilty burning oil!!
@HomesteadJay Up and running again!! About a 3 hr job after changing out both flange valve gaskets and 1 flange shutoff valve, refilled about 20 gallons of water and refire coming up to 165 * now. Oil is off!!!!!!
I did some quality control after the fact and re split some larger ones he left. I didn’t want dad to struggle with the 6 way. He doesn’t know the wood like I do so I was afraid he’d get the ugly stuff stuck so I kept him with the 4 way.
Theres nothing better than a day in the wood yard with the ole man. Nice work gentlemen 🤘🤘
Great job Jay
Thank you! Big shoutout to pops for helping out
Good stuff.
If I had to guess that's around a 4 cord pile.
You're probably right on the money with that estimate!
Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job 👍
Awesome
Indeed!
Hell yeah. Put that baby to work. You got the firewood bug now I can see it. Keep it up brotha.
Hell ya brother. Wait till you see what I have in the works coming hahah
@ oh man
I'd almost just have the tractor sitting there while cutting and toss it right into the bucket.
That would fill up quick hahah I needed to be cutting to keep up with dad. He quickly caught up I gave him like 20 rounds to start and he blew through that

Great work guys!!
Thanks, we had a lot of fun making this pile!
Should have gone with the 6 way. Much of that should have been resplit.

New knees it's bionic man he is homestead Jim
Your furnace has to be feasting with this time lapse, hopefully making a good dent in all the wood you need to get through to clean up the yard.
Trying! Pile doesn’t seem to be shrinking lol
Oh yah...how long has it been since your dad got his new knees ???
He seems to be moving pretty good !!!😊
He’s moving great!
