Good review man, I went to see it for my birthday and I have to say I had a very enjoyable time with it, the practical effects, acting, music, humour, all definitely highlights. I do agree that Monica Bellucci's character definitely could've been integrated into the plot better, but for the most part I really enjoyed it, so stay tuned for my review!
I liked it but it had way too many concepts to juggle at the same time. First you have Delia dealing with her husband who's walking around with his head cut off because the real reason he couldn't be in the film. Then you have the daughter being deceived. Then there's Lydia being stalked by Beetlejuice. Then there's Beetlejuice's wife chasing after him and the payoff at the end just looks so cheap when you expect the big fight. Then there's the crazy detective who thinks he's a celebrity.
@@Redsnowman04 well somethings always going to get complaint. Especially since it'll be a while before hollywood recovers any real skill again. It did good finacially which is ultimately the short term factor that adds to the list of long term evidence.
"BJ, BJ" 😂On a serious note, Still need to see it! Love the OG one and yeah it might not be the best but still going to give it a shot! Great video Will!
@@brandononbrand It came 'so close' to 1st by reaching 2nd place and when you're talking about films that made over $100 million, a $13 million gap isn’t that far off
@Willakimbo_ simply being 2nd place is not the same as “so close” or “nearly”… The implication of the headline and thumbnail is that it was a close call or a photo finish. But a 10% difference is not a close call And, again, the difference is greater in terms of attendance … ticket prices are up over 20% (at least) since 2017 Anyway, don’t mean to give you a hard time. I know RUclips encourages exaggeration and click bait. But, as an actual box office analyst, this sort of thing can be annoying.
@@brandononbrand I respect that but at the same time I come from a business & marketing background and I believe there is good and bad clickbait. The whole point of the packaging is to 'bait' the click and as long as the content follows through and delivers on the promise then I think that is perfectly fine. You say a 10% difference is not close, but that depends on perspective. You've also linked the title and thumbnail when they could work individually as above. I understand your point but I don't believe it deserves the most focus, as like you said, you understand the RUclips way of things. I'd quite happily do basic titles etc if they worked! However, If you don't think the video did enough to give more context to the ambiguous packaging then I'll take that criticism on board absolutely!
3:33 to the end is spot on. Couldn't have said it any better.
Absolutely loved it

Will do dude! Considering some of the rubbish that has released this year I'm glad you got a good one for your birthday!
If they do make a third one they would probably call it Beetlejuice 3 to tie in to the joke that you can’t say his name three times
Yeah I could definitely see them doing that!
Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. In the middle. I saw it 4 times. I enjoyed it!
@@Redsnowman04 Yeah that’s fair! Damn 4 times already that’s impressive!
Only 4? I’ve seen it 17 times already

I've never rewatched a movie in a theater twice, let alone 4 times. Not even for films I loved 😅

@@knightrcer Yeah absolutely they got a bit carried away here and needed to make a couple of tough omissions
i think they need to pay attention more to the fact that it was 3 generations of females WITH NO OR ANTI POLITICAL COMMENTARY in their history.

Haha cheers Dom! Yeah there's plenty of fun to be had with this one so I hope you enjoy it :)
It was ~10% behind IT in $$$ and even further behind in attendance... So how is that "so close" or "NEARLY" breaking the September record?

@@AlternateMichael The huge record is that the film came just one spot behind being the biggest domestic box office opening ever for September.
