Wonderful ideas. Thanks for sharing. You are so right on the bags. My friend uses the craft bag - I cut out a stencil with her logo. We use spray paint for the stencil and it looks very artsy which is her brand style. We also have a mirror that we place on the side of our space that says "Oh, Snap!" with our hashtag. If they buy something and post a photo to their social media showing themselves purchasing, wearing/using the item and include our hashtag, prior to checking out and showing the post at check out we give a discount at checkout. Some will even do a live feed. That has been very popular with our under 40 customers.

The trouble with the craft shows around here is NOBODY SHOWS UP. There are literally more vendors than shoppers. The shows are dead AF.

YES definitely
The only problem is in tight space, even if you give them a clipboard it holds up space and slows things down. I carry the mailing labels that various organizations send in the mail for such occasions and then just have to write in my email.
One thing I've done to assist in this not taking so much time is providing a small card box and require them to leave a business card to enter.
THAT was the FIRST thing that came to mind! Works every time for me!

the special bags. I have access to a lot of fabric (music festival) and can quickly whip up a basic bag. using a stencil to paint the brand.

Not me clicking so fast to hear more of Monicas awesome ideas as I continue to glow up my booth. 🤣 I have been thinking about adding the spin a wheel. I have noticed the clearer you are in the words the better as I had this challenge even with just purchase discounts on my pricing aka "2 for". I do love the mirror, though it doesn't fit maybe per se in my booth but I think I took away having something "instagramable" to draw people in.

What I often ask is if why these people are making so much money at craft fairs why they have to do these things these are very time-consuming and I just think that if you're making so much money what you're doing that you can give advice then you shouldn't need to do anything else
Hi Monica i use the paper bags as well but i do stickers or a customize stamp on it
I use paper gift bags with my brand sticker on it as well. My sticker really pops because of the color and I've received complements on my packing at shows. Works for me!😊

Great video. We do shows to sell pet reptiles and supplies. I'll be checking out the links you provided. 2 ?- 1) did you find the bags? What vendor? 2) What POS are you using if I may ask?

How big is your vehicle to fit all of the different stands? We can fit a 6' table, foldable bench and then a few bins of stuff to sell and maybe a small cooler. We downsized for one market to bring just the best, but others we may have more room to display things. Items are like $1-5+ being sold, so it takes a lot of sales even to break even from the market fee.
Loving your advice/ideas, being informative on setting up your table/booth at a show, to bring people in is key. I've only done one show, and am currently going to do a show coming up in November. Trying to do better than I was before. We learn as we go, in what works for a person and their preferences and styles

We did a spinny wheel for my kid's business since the first market, but it has a lot of slots, so we only put a few freebies. He gave a lot of things for free, but they were so happy. Definitely going to make some changes. Should we put something on each one or leave some blank?

me too! people say I should wrap my small things in disposable plastic to elevate it but my whole thing is eco friendly crafting. maybe wrapped available upons request or a discount for people who decline or return packaging. maybe reusable packaging?

my large tent set-up will normally take me a little over an hour to set-up - sometimes more if I take my time.
I lived in JC for 4 years… where do you have your booth?
depends on the market that I'm part of! sometimes it's by the grove street PATH station, other times it's in front of brick-and-mortar stores!

Majority of the suggestions are legit however, I cannot agree with the Spin Wheel which encourages gambling.
So when you make a purchase at a store you've never bought a sale item buy one get one free. I am sure you have. It's really no different. Be encouraging not annoying!
