- We had our very first OBGYN appointment to hear the twins heartbeats, get their measurements, and find out if everything was progressing as it should be. The babies sizes and sacs looked good, their heartbeats were at the right bpm, and we got some incredible pictures from the ultrasound. When we met with the OB after the ultrasound, we were told some unexpected news, certainly not something any expecting mother and father want to hear....

During our 20 week scan, they found an abnormality in our son. He had a bump, or spot, in his brain and one in his spine. They warned us that this could mean our son being born and passing shortly after. We were heartbroken. I couldn't stop thinking of the what ifs. By the time I turned 30 weeks, those spots were gone. He's now 11 yrs old.
If I could go back and tell myself something, it would be to breathe. I felt so stressed and worried through out those 10 weeks.. and then I then felt that I was robbed that time and instead of feeling over the moon excited.. I cried the entire time.
Pls trust in God and trust that everything will be just fine ❤

Sometimes these blood tests that they do show abnormalities that really aren’t there also. When I was pregnant, my husband and I declined both times to get these blood tests.

Praying for Baby B! I have Spina Bifida myself and a neurological “disorder” called Hydrocephalus but I promise you that those 2 things, either one are something that would NOT make your child any less happy as long as you love them! Do I have challenges? Yes but we all do.
I know a family here in my town that knew their little boy was gonna be born with Spina Bifida and he’s literally fine! There are so many levels of it. He or she could lead a completely normal life even IF thats the case and that’s only an IF right now!
God planned these 2 children to be born and grow up together. Their twin will be their best friend regardless. Keep positive and keep praying for God to heal the baby if needed but please don’t think a disability will put your child at a disadvantage bc we are STRONG! People look at me and say “you can’t do…etc” I say “WATCH ME.”

Praying for you and your babies. I had my triplets at 37 and MFM was my primary - MFM drs are so amazing. Every appointment had some anxiety but I know they will take the best care of you and your babies. They always told me not to worry until there’s reason to worry ❤

My last baby, had some abnormalities on the ultrasound. He ended up needing a surgery right after birth. He was born with disabilities and it has been a long road to travel and a tough path to navigate, but he is the most precious and beautiful child. His soul is so pure. He is a joy to everyone who meets him. Stay strong, stay positive, and know that whatever personality, ability, or beautiful difference Baby B presents, there is love and happiness abound.
When I was pregnant 32 yrs ago, I went in for my monthly check, and I left in tears. My dr. told me, word for word, "Do not go buy things for this baby." I was 8 months. I asked him why, what was wrong? He said, "Any number of things, none of which are common." I will never forget those words, because I was devastated. My mom, who had great faith, greater than mine, took me shopping that day for the baby crib. And my baby boy, who was born absolutely perfect, thanks be to God, used that crib until he grew into a big bed. Today, he is fine, and he is 32 yrs old. His only health ailment is asthma. They do not always know what they think they know. God is greater than any human opinion.

Wow! What an amazing story!!! Your mom knew everything would be ok! God is great! Doctors don’t know everything! I am so happy you had a healthy baby! Horrible for that doctor to say that to you at 8 months pregnant! God showed him that miracles happen everyday!!! ❤😊

@@lauraquigley6403 No, He is not doing that in this current Grace dispensation. All blessings are “spiritual” not physical according to Ephesians 1:3 KJB. Sadly, you are not studying the Bible by “rightly dividing” it as per God’s instruction in 2 Timothy 2:15 KJB. You cannot conflate prophecy and mystery doctrine. You must rightly divide the Law and Grace programs. Don’t claim God is doing all these physical healings when He isn’t doing that today. Healings were done by Jesus only in His earthly ministry to Israel to fulfill prophecy and validate the Man and the Message.
With my twins every week they flagged something. I always left crying. One appointment was we would have to pick the strong one, one was going to be a dwarf. Lots and lots. I remember the nurse saying all this technology is a blessing and a curse. As hard as it is, try not to worry and don't goggle it. Prayers

My experience as well with my twins there was always something "wrong" but they were both born at 34.5 weeks 6lbs with no nicu time . There now 7 and striving
They always put fear in people. It's super annoying. This is why I'm going holistic. Screw western medicine. They're nothing but fear mongerers.
As an early interventionist, some of the sweetest souls I have ever met are children with some sort of disability. That baby is here for a reason and if it’s something big, what a wonderful new type of journey your family is about to go on.

I was told the same but actually around 12 weeks. … I left from that appointment and decided to leave every worry there also. I prayed & declared nothing but a healthy baby & healthy rest of my pregnancy! She came out absolutely healthy with not one problem!! Sending prayers & hugs. And I second the statement,, do not Google ,, and try to only send positive vibes through your spirit,,, babies will feel it too!❤

With one of my daughters, at her anatomy scan they believed she might have dolicocephaly based off her head measurements. We were sent to MFM who cleared us. Later my OB’s office had concerns about her heart and sent us back to MFM. I was a mess, but again we were cleared. Baby was born without a single issue.
My youngest daughter was born with a dimple at the bottom of her spine and they sent us for an ultrasound to check for spina bifida. I was a wreck, so I completely understand. Her ultrasound came back clear.
It’s scary stuff being a parent and hearing all these things. You two are amazing parents. No matter the outcome, the baby is blessed to have you for parents. Love and hugs! ❤️
I have a child with Spina Bifida, and I will tell you, he is the BEST thing that has ever happened in my life. I can not remember life without him. He’s funny, sweet, has the best heart, the most personable kid ever. He’ll be 18 in May.

I was told there was 5-6 things wrong with my baby and my uterus. I prayed so much, I cried and I FREAKED OUT. The Lord took care of me and my baby. To be told that there was so many things wrong and everything was absolutely perfect. Our God is incredible. I am praying over you and your babies. The Lord knows what's inside your heart and he will answer those prayers ❤

Spina Bifida/hydrocephalus runs in my family. Even two of my siblings have it! They live full and happy lives. Yes, there are surgeries and extra things, but it is NOT unmanageable ❤ There are even fetal surgeries now that can tremendously help, and there is so much variation within the condition. Take heart friend, God has got you, and there are so so many resources ❤ I will be praying for two healthy babies, and for peace and strength for your family no matter what. It is going to be ok, xx

Had my son with IVF at 39. I was in high risk appointments because of my age. I was told my son had a bump on his head.
He's 9 now.....was born 100% fine!!!!!

I was told that my baby was going to have bones possibly missing from his spine and surgery as a possibility when he was born. Scared the EVERR loving shit outta me!!!!!!!!!! I cried for weeks!! We had to go to the drs 2X a week for ultrasound testing and bones measured etc.. He is 21 and fine. Besides being a PITA.. 🤣😜🤣😜 prayers sent your way. God speed friends
The doctors told my stepdads late wife that their baby (my stepbrother) had no brain and wouldn’t survive. They suggested termination but my stepdad and his wife said no. My brother was born and was alive. He needed surgeries for hydrocephalus but is 31 and thriving. He was also born blind but by the grace of god he can see. He has some visual impairment but he can drive and do anything he sets his mind to. Your babies will be safe. Put it all in god. He is there to handle it all!
We are just going to believe and pray with you that both babies are healthy and that the bump is nothing! 🙏

When I was pregnant with my daughter, there was an abnormality with her heart that they saw in the ultrasounds. I freaked out and was so stressed. They watched it during the whole pregnancy. I had people praying. When she was born, they did a CT and what was there was very minimal. She had to see a cardiologist for a year so they could watch it and now she’s released! I googled things too and sometimes google can be your worst enemy. Praying for you!!

When I was pregnant with my first son he had a cystic neuroma in his neck..it could have meant Down syndrome but I had the genetic testing done early on and it was clear..so I had to see a high risk OB and have more frequent ultrasounds done..they ended up shrinking and he is now a happy healthy 7 year old who is insanely smart and not to mention sweet!! Just wanted to say. When I was pregnant with my daughter at 10 weeks they told my husband & I that our baby wasn’t growing like it should. At every appt after they told us the same thing. They finally at 7 months said they felt our baby was going to be born very very small, with a lot of physical & mental disabilities. We had been praying since the 10 week appt for Gods healing on our baby, we placed our unborn baby in Gods hands, told him whatever his will was we would love our baby no matter what problems it had. My first baby was by c-section so that baby was going to be born by c-section as well. I had that c-section at 38 weeks, I was awake for it with my husband by my side. When our baby, our daughter, was born the doctor & nurses were shocked and so happy. Our daughter weighed 8 lb 11 oz and she was PERFECT!!!! Nothing was wrong with her, she was so healthy!!!!! Our God is the one who knows all, and I am praying for both your babies to be born healthy and for you Jamie to have a healthy pregnancy🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

Take it one day at a time! I've been in your shoes. Try not to focus on the what if's, but focus on the true miracle you're experiencing. MFM will guide you and get those babies safe. God gives special babies to special people. what better parent to have than a nurse and believers. And just remember you don't know anything yet. Just keep your faith that God will heal that baby!
I was told at 18 weeks that my daughter had water in her brain and would either die before she was born or immediately after but they couldn’t confirm until she was a bit bigger. I also had to wait the 4 weeks for a follow up and when we went they found no abnormalities. They said with ultrasounds happening earlier in pregnancies due to increased technology that problems can be flagged that aren’t actually problems. It is a tough wait until the follow up appointment but try keep as calm as possible and stay off of google if you can help it. Praying for your babies and your family.
I think it my 10 week u/s. The OB came in and told us that there was something wrong with our son’s heart and brain. She referred us to a specialist and we couldn’t get in for another week. That was a LONG week. We went to the u/s at the specialist and there was NOTHING wrong! The Dr was so upset with how are OB had handled the situation. He said it’s very common for babies to be on a different growing schedule than the “textbook”. It’s very common for u/s to not show everything clearly. We immediately found a new OB that day! It’s awesome being able to see our babies earlier and walked by u/s but the flip side is there is more chances for us to worry. “Back in the day” lol only God knew until the baby was born what would be the outcome. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 to your family for the next 4 weeks and beyond.

My nephew and his wife were pregnant with identical twin boys. Baby B had literally zero amniotic fluid throughout the pregnancy. The specialist told them not to except the baby to make it. 2 years later we is still here and he is walking, talking. Baby A didn’t make it. But prayers saved Baby B. So once again I will be praying for both of your babies and your family. God bless you.

Praying over you and the babies… my sister had something like this show up on her ultrasound and the dr did a amnio and everything turned out fine. It went away and she was born healthy and now a 12 year old sweet girl. Just remember the Lord has you in his hands and this hasn’t caught Him by surprise. I’m sure you’re so worried. Both my pregnancies flagged things. My 1st was born at 26 weeks. 1lbs 14oz. Grade 4 intracranial bleed and they swore she’d had CP. So many other major issues. She’s 31, perfect and has 2 kids.
I took care of a few SB babies who had surgery. They are amazing! Surgery has come so far.
Hang in there. Cry it out. But, be gentle on yourself. ❤❤

Henley solidified it for me when she said twin girls before even knowing you were carrying twins. Don't Google anything as it will surely scare you. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Let God handle everything else. He has you all. Hold on to that.

Keep praying!!! They told me that my first baby may have had trisomy- he's 20 now. Then with my 3rd baby they saw a calcium deposit on her heart...shes 3 and healthy. Praying for you both and baby A & B.

Oh Jamie, I’m so sorry. I believe it’s going to be okay ❤️. Even if sweet baby has an abnormality and needs surgery, medicine is amazing. My little girl was born with a brain defect (Chiari Malformation) which can often be seen with spina bufida. and has had many surgeries. It has been tough but she is a healthy, thriving normal 8 year old. God has done miracles to get these babies here and he has a plan for them. I pray that this will go away but just know that even if it doesn’t, it will be okay. You guys are strong and the best parents and can get through it!
For comfort.. I commented on the last video that I had twins (who are currently 18m old) both fell below the 10%tile .. baby B had a VCI cord.. I had to be checked every 3 days from 20wks until induction of 36wks.. but she was a healthy 4.4lb baby!! Her twin, was healthy the whole pregnancy but did fall to 6th percentile… he was 5.6lbs at birth, and ended up struggling with retraction breathing.. he spent 5 days in the NICU. Both babies struggled with being on point with their milestones…. But with some therapy.. they are happy.. healthy.. perfect.. in every way… don’t stress.. love them. Enjoy those little moments.. ❤

Google tells us things that aren't always accurate. They may have seen something today and in 4 weeks they may not. Try not to stress over it and focus on positive thoughts. You've got prayers from all around the world. 💐

I don’t know if you will even see this, but at my 1st appointment with my daughter we got the same news. It was called a cystic hygroma. Very common in babies with “syndromes”. My daughter has a genetic mutation and a syndrome. She had challenges in the beginning (and always will have some) but she’s a happy and thriving 14 month old. Her hygroma did resolve on its own by 15 weeks gestation. I know it’s hard but please don’t google!! What helped me was praying for peace. As much as I wanted and every parent wants a “healthy” baby. I knew it would hurt me more if I prayed for that and it didn’t happen. So I prayed for peace. Peace to know that everything was going to be “okay”. It may not be now. It may not be okay when she’s born but eventually it would be okay. Prayers for you, your family and your little one from someone who has been in your shoes! ❤

I was admitted to the hospital, had emergency surgery and spent 17 weeks and two days laying with my head down and feet up in the hospital. Got them to 36 weeks 2 days. I had a lot of techs find stuff that disappeared the moment another came to check. Those ultrasounds can be like google. Sometimes cool sometimes scary. Sending prayers!❤
