- Hey there! We Are The Freels! We welcomed quintuplets into the world in June of 2023.
Here is our first ultrasound which was one at 5 weeks and 5 days gestation. It was a day we will never forget! It was so early, we weren't expecting to see any heartbeats, yet we saw five heartbeats, and five gestational sacs- meaning we were expecting five babies. Pretty crazy! Our heads were spinning so you may not hear a lot of talking towards the end. We wanted to make this video available to anyone who may be going through a similar situation.

I was 39 and conceived natural triplets. They had no NICU time and came home with me all healthy girls. They are 13 now.

I always wonder if fertility treatments cause early onset of labors VS natural conceptions even when naturals produce multiples

My husband brought 4 kids into our marriage from his previous relationship. Two of them are twins. When I went for my ultrasound they took ages until they said „everything is fine! I can actually see two babies“. And my husband jumped up, put his hands over his head and yelled „no…no…omg!! Omg!!“ 😂 and I layed there and tbh my first thought was „please wake me up out of this nightmare, why me“. Because all my life I was scared to have twins haha. But now we have them its just such a blessing. Hard work, but a blessing 🩷
My generation was supposed to have twins from dad's side grandma had two set of twin siblings I believe all girls and twins runs on both sides which is funny because my generation seemed to have twins in each classroom
When I was 39 I got pregnant with what I thought was my seventh child. At 9 weeks I told my husband that I suspected that I was having twins because I was feeling "fuller" than I felt during my previous pregnancies. He told me that I was nutshell. Later that day I told my family doctor the same thing and he looked at me like I was nuts. Because of my age and two previous miscarriages I had an appointment that day with a OB. I received the same look from him then went in for my ultrasound. I'll never forget the technician's voice when she yelled out "There's two! There's two!" I always say that I hit the baby jackpot. You folks really hit it! Congratulations! 🎉
@@16dyashe mentioned previous miscarriages, I don't know if she has 9 children or if she had 9 pregnancies either way it's none of our business as long as the children and the family is safe and happy☺️

I grew up with eight biological siblings and it has been the best gift from my parents ever! We didn't live lavishly but we still live full lives. We've traveled Europe, grown to raise our own healthy families, and learned to love and protect our loved ones.

Well, as a retired OB nurse, knowing that they had fertility treatments which increases chances and then her HGC was supposed to be 200, but it was 6400 prior to this, I think they had a good idea there were multiples.
I’m currently pregnant with twins, and hearing this story helps give me hope that mine will be OK.

We had quads. They are 24 years old now and one of them is expecting our first grandchild. When they were little we used to ask "What would we do if there was one more? We only have four hands." lol Best of luck to your blessed family.
My husband and I were both 20 when I had a set of identical girls and 13 month later I got caught with identical boys…….. 13 months between them!! Well thank God we had a village around us! every one looks the same in my house as I am an identical twin too! My life is beyond crazy but wouldn’t change the kids for the world! ♥️♥️♥️♥️ 👯♂️ 👯♀️ they are 10 and 11 years old now.

I had an English teacher who in the 1930s had 1 baby. 15 months later, a set of twins. 15 months later, a second set of twins. 3 months later, husband was killed in an accident. As a widow, she had raised 5 kids. She wrote a book, "None to Give Away. "
I’m also a mother of multiples who went through infertility treatments. I love hearing about the babies and how you all are doing. It brings back many memories.

I told my family and husband the day after taking a test that it was boy girl twins after having the most vivid dream of them. I knew it so deep down, they laughed because cause we dont have twins on my side. Sure enough, we not only had twins but had boy/girl twins. We named them their names from my dream, and look exactly as the babies I held in that dream. Crazy enough, around 6 months pregnant I had another vivid dream of my daughter passing shortly after being born. I thought it was my birth so when they came healthy I thought we were in the clear. Nope, at 8 weeks I rushed my daughter to the hospital because she was sick and although they claimed her O2 sat level would come up with breathing treatment, they weren’t. I was a paramedic, and knew something was seriously wrong. 3rd trip when they again tried sending us home I threatened to handcuff myself to the bed if they didn’t get the picu doctor down to the ER. My daughter crashed an hour later, she had a collapsed lungs and a massive tumor crushing her trachea. Had I left she would’ve died. That dream pushed me to not take no for an answer. She’s now 1 of 11 cases in the US to have that type of BENIGN tumor where it was. I will never forget the doctors telling us it could only be a neuro blastoma and after many failed attempts at putting a pic line in to start treatment BEFORE the biopsy results came back I made them stop and wait. When I tell you our room was packed full of doctors crying with us, I mean it. I’m so thankful everyday she made it and is a happy healthy 11 year old. Moms trust your instincts!!!
When I had my 2 children in the early 1970s, Ultrasound Scans were not available to NHS patients in the UK. I had to go 9 months wondering if I would have a girl or a boy. I would have LOVED to have had a scan to know the sex of my baby. Science has progressed so much and I would like to congratulate you both on the birth of your 5 babies. Love from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤
When my mum was pregnant with me in ‘69, she would have loved a scan too, she’d had my 4 brothers, and was hoping I’d be a girl, and when I was delivered, the midwife played a trick on her and wrapped me in a blue blanket. My mum said groggily, “i thought you said I’d had a girl, well I love him regardless” then she peeled back the blanket and…hello it’s a girl! 😂😂 she cried. She was my best friend, my confidant and I miss her so much.
When my friends were born in the 60s, their mum didn't know she was having twins. She gave birth to a son, then she was told "there's another one there!" 😂

It’s it so crazy how technology has changed the world especially with pregnancy. It’s so crazy to hear people’s stories. I can talk to my grandma about when she was pregnant with my tias and Tio (aunts and uncle) she said at the time they didn’t allow men in the hospital room when she delivering the babies and there so no ultrasounds she said the doctor would only hear the babies heart beat with like an earlier version of the stethoscope and that was it.
My sister was by heartbeat supposed to be a boy 😂 grandpa said when he saw her prettiest boy I have ever seen sis is the oldest then brother then me we each were a pain to mom bro was pain in the butt literally during delivery and she found out she was pregnant with me because I was a pain in her side I forget what sis pain to her was 😂😂😂

5 potential SACS yes, but only 2 heartbeats - so it makes perfect sense she was holding back. That, and the chances of miscarriage with so many babies is massive - it wouldn't be professional to be over excited especially when the chances of taking 5 babies home is really really small 🫤

I knew I was having twins. I was acutely aware of the changes in my body, and this was my 3rd pregnancy, so I had a good baseline for what is normal. My doctor refused to do an ultrasound until 10 weeks, stating that she was sure it was just one baby. Lo and behold, it was 2 boys.

Congrats on your sweet babies! I have an Eliana too...but with 2 Ns. She is a gift, for sure. My Eilanna is turning 12 soon and I really do miss all the little years and stages. Once it's gone, you can't get it back. Soak it all in, enjoy every moment. God bless you all! Your babies are perfect

I'm currently pregnant and have my first appointment at the end of the month. I'm just praying for one healthy baby. I'll gladly take 2 if that's what we find out. 3 or more and i might be panicking. I'd love every one but I would be PANICKING. 😅

How did they know she was having multiples if this was her first scan at 5 weeks. I’m a midwife and the only way I can think of is if her hcg was super elevated. Which can indicate a multiple pregnancy. But 5 babies, wow! I really think fertility clinics need to be more conscious of the risks of multiples. Especially as high as 5 foetuses!!! It’s quite irresponsible to stimulate her ovaries as much as this.
You really should know this as a midwife.

Her hormone levels In her blood were extremely high, which is why they had an ultrasound this early to find out how many babies there were. In a normal pregnancy with one baby the hormone levels at 1 week are at around 200....hers were 6,300 at a week so they knew it was a multiple pregnancy.
They did IUI and apparently his swimmers were so good that they made 5 babies 👶 at once.
It was 6400 he said on a post

If you look through some of their other videos you will see that all 5 made it! They are still in the hospital, but doing well!

One sac read "6 weeks 1 day" and another read "6 weeks 5 days". Interesting
Could be that the measurement settings are “general” but I’m just supposing. 😏
It's just the generic measurements at the time of the ultrasound. The "gestational age" or "due date" changes all the time as baby grows, but usually evens out by the end of the pregnancy.
Just like how your weight will be different in the morning vs after lunch vs end of the day.
Basically, one baby's sac is slightly larger than the other baby's sac. They were still conceived at the same time

It's incredible that they even found a single heartbeat that earlier. It usually takes longer. So yes. It's just still to early for most of them.
Fetal poles ( electric activity where the heart will be ) aren't usually found that early

They thought I was twins so they took an x ray. I was just a big baby thankfully I didn't need x rays with my kids but they were 9.8 and 11.5
At what point did she actually confirm 5? Did I miss it? I was waiting for some type of response or reaction or some thing.
At 13:03. I'm guessing she was doing IVF and they knew how many had been implanted.
