Justin Herbert has led the most game-winning drives in the NFL since he arrived in the league. 14 drives. The argument is that he’s not clutch? We watch MNF and decide that he always is his worst performance, but in general we ignored his monstrous performance against Minnesota, and the fact that more often than not, he plays like one of the very best quarterback in the NFL and doesn’t get half the plates or attention that is given to some of the other “elites“. I’m not sure why we’re acting as though he’s constantly celebrating, in reality we are constantly told he doesn’t have it in the clutch, he is in the leader, But the only problem is that every single stat minus wins, which is absolutely not a quarterback stat, do not back it up the most game-winning drives in the NFL since his arrival. 4 1/2 thousand passing yards last year through broken ribs. Calling him a wimpis absolutely insane and shameful. Calling him worse than DAC is mine Bach. I’m disgusted.
The chargers are weird Keenan is great when healthy but injury prone and like 32. Mike will might be the most injury prone receiver in football but more than that. What is Justin Herbert's biggest strength.. the ability to push the ball down the field. The chargers have ZERO speed and no receiver other than Keenan can run routes So they have no way to beat you down the field unless Mike Will catches a jump ball. And then they draft Johnston who is slow and can't get open when everyone knew Zay flowers was the right pick. Think about it people feared Herbert and the chargers most when Jalen Guyton of all people was running deep routes and Herbert would sling it. The offense just looks ugly and Herbert feels forced to make tight window throws every play

I like Herbert but he missed two throws where Keenan Allen was wide open and would’ve went for TDs. I don’t think Staley is a great HC but Herbert is not blameless he is at fault for losing this game as much as anyone

Herbert is a symptom of modern evaluating. Ever since Patrick Mahomes wowed the league, the new gold standard and metric by which we measure QBs is arm talent. It’s always mattered, but it’s held in higher regard than the ability to be accurate, throw with anticipation and process information. Herbert has elite arm talent, but he isn’t consistently accurate, he can get rattled and he will make bad decisions. But because of his arm talent, he’s given a pass. Same with Josh Allen. Josh Allen for as peerless as he can be on a good day, can also gift wins to the other team. However, every year that is all forgotten. Especially, Herbert and Allen are judged by their highlights. One the flip side, you’ve got Tua and Purdy, who are both productive players, who win games and do it through accuracy, reading the game and throwing with anticipation. They are judged by their lowlights. Their successes are entirely attributed to the players around them. If evaluators want to go that route, what was Josh Allen before he got Diggs? They’re great player, without elite arm talent. As much as they’re not held in such high regard.
Nailed it! Same reason why Levis and Richardson had all that hype before the draft because all people cared about was the few highlights of them throwing rockets down the field to wide open receivers when in reality they are very inaccurate QBs. They just don't care about the intangibles no more that used to be the common trait great quaterbacks like Montana, Brady or Manning
No, the gold standard for QBs is Winning, and Josh Allen does a whole lot of said Winning. Say what you want about Allen, but the Wins speak for themselves: 2019 = 10 Wins 2020 = 13 Wins, plus 2 playoff wins 2021 = 11 Wins, plus 1 playoff win (robbed of more playoff wins, see: 13 seconds) 2022 = 13 Wins, plus 1 playoff win 2023 = on pace for 11-12 wins Herbert has a career .500 record. Josh Allen is a Winning Machine. He gives the Bills a 10-Win FLOOR for the next 10 years. QBs are measured by Winning. All Josh Allen does is…WIN.

Skip: "whats the most important quality in a quarterback? Accuracy"
Tua: whats his best quality? Accuracy.
Also Skip: "Im not sold on Tua cause he has a noodle arm."
Well, what does noodle arm mean? To me it means lack of strength/deep ball, not inaccurate.
@@MattAlbietua has plenty arm...sure...not in the top 5 ... but he can make all the throws
Sherman “‘and he’s not getting it done”
Gotta judge him by their environment too. But he's a 52 mil man. Gotta be better now
Thank you sherman!!! I'm tired of the Hebert excuses. I don't care about his numbers. Is it leading to winning?? No. His chargers uniform is ironic because he's literally Philip rivers all over again
They gotta quit giving all of these damn excuses
From a Raiders fan, I think Herbert is great. If Brandon Staley settles for a field goal on fourth down vs. the Cowboys it’s a different game. So many times has he made idiotic coaching decisions that cost him the game. Or he gets bailed out by his defense in such a last second lucky fashion.
Herbert don’t have that “it” factor he’s a good qb but he doesn’t have that factor

It's still herbert over Tua

HERBERT has BEAUTIFUL LOSSES
I’d rather WIN!
Phillip rivers was also talented but what did he win with the chargers? Nothing🤔
Damn the Burrow carried Bengal’s to the SB narrative is wild like the WR core wasn’t the best and the defense wasn’t top 10 like do ppl understand football
Burrow is the most overrated player in the NFL, and the biased media is 100% responsible for that.
Yes but he also had one of the worst offensive lines in the league
@@LeetraviusMcKay-q6m he had the best WR core that’s helps defenses have to respect the weaponry and when the offense stalled out which it did a lot during that run the defense carried
They went from 2 and 14 to the superbowl, in 2 years, with an unproven coach
@@SulfuricPro The Jamarr Chase Effect. Chase is the best player on the Bengals, and he makes Burrow.
Herbert doesn't need a great HC, just a really good one. Unfortunately, he has Brandon Staley.
Dallas expoited the weak link on the O Line (RT - Trey Pipkins).
Why does Lamar Jackson have to win? And Justin Herbert don't. Lamar Jackson play with more injured players than any quarterback in his league. When he is healthy, all he do is win.
Chargers have been the most injured team for the last 2-3 years
@@HaezeusYTit’s actually the ravens and titans, chargers maybe third on that list but nowhere near the most injured team these past few years

Yeah, a 28 point lead is a crazy hole to dig yourself out of. Oh wait...
The coach giving the other offense a short field by going for it on your own 21 doesn’t really help but go off king

@@HaezeusYT he can if he’s a QB. Especially with all that talent they got. Last year with a 28 pt lead and 4 INTERCEPTIONS spotted by his defense at halftime vs the playoff jags. Why couldn’t he seal the game with conversions? Because he’s overrated that’s why.
As of now in the NFC East: QB Hurts - 7 INTs
QB Howell - 6 INTs
QB Jones - 6 INTs
QB Dak Prescott - 4 INTs
And yet, QB Hurts & QB Herbert gets a pass. 🤔🤔
Herbert has 2 interceptions on the year even less than Dak by what your saying he deserves a pass as well right?
“Once again wasn’t accurately consistent with the football” dude I’m a diehard bolts fan and that was the most inaccurate I’ve ever seen him. You’re talking to me like he does this every game??? He’s missing mike dub, he’s missing a competent coach and again this wasn’t a normal performance by him. And he has a broken hand… yall rlly just looking at those 2 overthrows to Keenan and running with it.
Elite quarterbacks win games win playoff games go to Super Bowls. Herbert is very talented but lacks the intangibles to win consistently.
If Lamar Jackson had the game that Herbert had the media would be killing him
His winning with a super team put herbert on the 49ers and see how good he does 😂
I’ll rather have what I got with dak.. Herbert don’t change nun if he was in Dallas Keyshawn
Herbert is 27-27 through 54 games. Mahomes is 80-20 through 100. No further questions.
So sherm says that you can't keep making the excuse that herbert doesn't have a consistent OC yet because Tua and Burrow both had first time coaches too. DIfference is, Tua has mike mcdaniel, the smartest offensive coach in the nfl, and herbert has brandon staley, the smartest defensive coach in the nfl. Yes, herbert is to blame for this loss, but he had one bad game. He's been top 5 this year. Nobody talking about how Mahomes got outplayed by Zach Wilson because they won due to the refs bailing them, not because of mahomes.
Almost every Qb has had an atrocious game this year Herbert was objectively bad but the conversations people are having about him are weird. Jalen Hurts was objectively worst and people forgot about his game already
I like Herbert but he missed two throws where Keenan Allen was wide open and would’ve went for TDs. I don’t think Staley is a great HC but Herbert is not blameless he is at fault for losing this game as much as anyone
Like I said if the cowboys don’t put up a million yards a game or break records then they still get hated in when they win
Cuz they only beat dysfunctional teams
I think it's more of the coaching than Justin.
Nah it’s him.
@@rjtherenegade7743 its the coaching and franchise he plays for casual
Most overrated QB since Andrew Luck
Skip saying Justin Herbert isnt accurate just proves to me he doesnt watch the Chargers, hes one of the most accurate QBs in the league by far. Last night was just a bad game, and if you’ve ever had to throw a ball with broken finger on your offhand, you’d understand that stabilizing hand being hurt can and will affect your accuracy. And it showed last night
He’s not that accurate dude. He just has a bunch of tall receivers with wide catch radius that can Hall in off target passees… Kennan Allen 6’2, mike Williams 6’4, Quentin Williams 6’3… than he’s had Jared cook 6’4 and now Gerald Everette. 6’3… easy to complete passes when you have a bunch of tall receivers…
@@boogidwnej179 yes he is that accurate and you keep saying he has all these big targets yeah but they’re HURT half the time and he still balls so find another excuse. He has to be very accurate cuz he had nobody that can separate vertically and everything is contested. The one guy that got that could separate is hurt and they don’t play the rookies Davis and Johnston enough
Then called bogus double holding call when the cowboys is 3 and 19

Skip does not like his show anymore. He looks like he’s not having a good time. LOOKS LIKE HE MISSES SHARPE BECAUSE HE BROUGHT THE VIEWS AND SKIP GOT THE CREDIT. I hope he understands his attitude affects those around him. He looks like a grumpy old man now and it’s all his fault. I don’t feel bad for the guy.

2:20 Ancient history? Boy he's the one to talk. Skip still bringing the 2011 NBA Finals whenever he wants to discredit LeBron. He's the last person to say "that's old news", all your arguments are old news.
@@Rondoo040richardson was amazing in the games he played lol
Purdy and tua live by the system
Stupid post. Jalen Hurts just gifted a Win for the Jets. Are you going to keep the same energy for Hurts?
No, the gold standard for QBs is Winning, and Josh Allen does a whole lot of said Winning. Say what you want about Allen, but the Wins speak for themselves:
2019 = 10 Wins
2020 = 13 Wins, plus 2 playoff wins
2021 = 11 Wins, plus 1 playoff win (robbed of more playoff wins, see: 13 seconds)
2022 = 13 Wins, plus 1 playoff win
2023 = on pace for 11-12 wins
Herbert has a career .500 record.
Josh Allen is a Winning Machine. He gives the Bills a 10-Win FLOOR for the next 10 years.
QBs are measured by Winning. All Josh Allen does is…WIN.
