  • Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert joins Colin Cowherd on The Herd to discuss Chargers football. Herbert shares insight on what his negotiations were like after signing his 5-year, $265.5M contract extension. The two discuss the impact first-year OC Kellen Moore is having on the offense. Herbert then reacts to the top 4 programs in the Pac-12 leaving the conference for the Big Ten and Big 12.

I’m an OR guy. I’ve seen every throw he’s made since 2016 and watched him grow into a man. This was by far the best interview by a member of the media JH has ever done. It helps that Herd has a special history with Justin but the questions were great and he answered them truthfully and nothing generic. I do believe that he may be too “boring” for the Netflix doc. No wife, no annoying girlfriend who wants attention, or kids. His family does not live through him. They don’t bother him or crave any attention. They still live in the same house in Eugene, his lil bro plays for OR and his older bro is in medical school. None of this was expected and none of this attention will change him. Happy to see him come out of his shell bc what you see now was who he was back in Eugene. So this is probably why he didn't sign autographs today. Went there today and after practice a lot of players stayed on the field. After about 5-10 minutes, he was nowhere to be seen lol

I honestly don’t think it matters if he’s not the most outspoken guy. Wouldn’t matter if he was mute, the dude let’s his game speak for itself. Straight baller 🏈

  • @douglasfur3808

Man he sure stays on message, skilfully deflect questions where he could boast and turning it into a team answer: "aw schucks I don't do much. It's these other guys who are the stars. All I do is get the ball to 'em".
Like reading a defense he's smart enough to anticipate the incoming question and own it.

first comment in all of youtube! It sounded like please lets resign Palmer to at least a minimum of a two year deal. Justin sounds like he loves him and after that Atlanta game so do I. After that game he deserves a deal where he got drafted. Let the man make a life.!

Love Justin. He looks so much like Josh hartnett. Love his humble demeanor still think he is on the wrong team. Chargers just can’t help themselves n not sold on the coach. Stanley is a dud!

Joe Lombardi runs Sean Peyton's offense and it fails. Colin Pushes for Peyton to be the Chargers head coach over Staley. Chargers keep Staley and hire Moore as the OC and Peyton ends up in Denver. Peyton hires Lombardi as OC. Do you see where I'm going with this?

@MrShragg well yea 14 thousand yards passing his first 3 seasons is an insane stat to have. Easily gonna have over 5k yards this season if he stays healthy. Just funny how many people say hes overrated, i think hes barely stretching his legs in what he can do for the league

If I were to put my early 20's years along side Herbert's or any young QB, my early 20's were a bowl of jello. Thee people need time to finish even growing into their own skin. The pressures to learn new schemes, 53 new men, 31 different team dynamics, health & strength maintenance. I would have just gone down to the corner bar and watched someone else do it.
