You're are a teacher indeed. Most teachers show “how” but do not teach “why" and vice versa. However you sir are a blend of both of those.
I remember the first time I had to learn this song, I was so mad bc it didn't make sense musically lol. I got up and walked away for about 10 mins and when I came back I heard every note. Sometimes we just have to walk away for a few mins and take a deep breath. Thats something I constantly do for everything, not just music and I learned that from this song.
Me and every keyboard player in my area struggle to find the actual voicing for this song, that's y we try not to play it, but thanks to u sean, I can attack this song now
Don’t let folks lie and tell you the song is easy doc...
Not only you guys bro.
@seanwilson, you the Goat 🐐. You always dropping gems
Appreciate it man, thanks for the support!
Wow I love this... I will come and be the singer behind so that u play the chords
That layer got me thinking like you playing with the song too 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤝🏾🤝🏾 lol!! You always have a superb incline when it comes to detailed infor💯💯
I always wondered why this song gave me anxiety everytime my choir chose it to sing. I am so glad to see that you see it as a slightly more complex song to play. I WAS QUESTIONING MY ABILITIES! 💯 You're the G.O.A.T at this SIR!
Yeah man, it’s not simple doc
Thanks a lot Sean. I was just trying to learn this song the other day 🙌🏻🙌🏻

God bless you. Thanks a million
Thanks for your support!
Awesome…When playing songs like this one, how do you think through voicings? Is it by numbers? (LH) 1 major triad, (RH) 5 sus 4 to 3 min? What are some easier ways to think through voicing?
I don't think that theoretically while playing, I look at the chord I playing and what type it is, and how and if I can expand that. See video here on my thoughts on harmony ruclips.net/video/dBUFpKK8ntQ/видео.htmlsi=W_A_L21lkRnKu_Yk
What’s the name of the sparkly moving sound thats under your piano patch? And what VST/software can I find it in? I love the blend. Keep up the great work Sean!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I don't even know doc, I was experimenting again, looked up "arpeggio" in Omnisphere
@@SeanWilsonPiano ok. Thank you for the response
What are you using to create your piano videos? I’m asking in regards to one of my classes. It would be great if I could show me playing and on staff.
Yeah bro. That’s what I’m talking about too!
This is nice 👍
Excellent Vid Bro!!!
Love this
❤❤❤
Hey Sean could you analyze what's going on in the Azusa worship services.Specifically the fast driving gospel music that's played. What is the keyboardist playing? Thanks
1) when learning songs, do you learn by bass or melody first?
2) What licks and improv go with what chords and progressions?
3) can you break down different descending runs in different keys with proper crossovers. Major and minor pentatonic, blues, bebop. Others
4) walk ups and walk downs, circles and other chromatic and 2-5-1 progressions different on organ and piano.
5) Different approaches in routes and passings for minor, major, talk music, preaching chords, shouts, worship, praise and jams..
6) Do you prefer organists or keyboardist? Can you be busy on keys like you can on organ?
Thanks So much!!!

Omg he can really Play
This is the most helpful insight on this song I’ve found. Very helpful 🙏🏾
Glad it was helpful. Thanks man!!
Intro chords are patterned after a song that was made in the late 80's by an artist named Joe Jackson (not Michael 's dad). The name of the song is called Steppin Out.
Wow! I Didn't realize that, they do kinda have that same melody at the beginning Good reference.
Thanks for the info, I’m gonna check it out
@@SeanWilsonPiano No problem Professor. I thought I would put my 2 cents in..

Can you break down more of jay arnold videos?
Sean Wilson Please do never would have made it Marvin sapp next
That song uses diatonic chords so you wouldn’t need me to break that down. You can probably find that on YT already since I generally cover more challenging songs
A week?? I first heard this song at practice and had to execute the next day
🎉
Whooooaaaa 🥵🥵🥵🥵
How do you figure licks to play so easily. Hear that 6:13 ... Mennnn
Thank you for this, can you please do Shout unto God by Marvin Sapp, that's another difficult song.
Whats the Key of the song please
F#
Pls play it on key c
That's Daniel Weatherspoon with that intro.

@@SeanWilsonPiano Naw bro I wasn't saying it like that just saying Daniel played the album for vashawn my dude! Hope you didn't take it like that. He one of my favorites and I'm saying like this Daniel for you. Hope I didn't sound rude and wasn't correcting you at all.!

Couldn’t hear what?
@@SeanWilsonPiano they probably talking about figuring out the intro
