What a great song!! It's easy to see why the M and P went on to be such a great group! Their harmonies are hard to beat! Boy do I miss them! Thank God for RUclips and albums and great memories! They gave us some beautiful music! God bless them!!! Peace !! Steve
My god everyone in that audience looked like they were over 70! Cass looked like she was having a great time though, and she took total control of the last song, and her dancing was pretty good too. I still miss her. Sincerely Aquatania

That's Michelle you see but the song Dancing Bear was sung by her replacement Jill Gibson when Michelle was briefly fired from the group. During that time Jill recorded with the other three Crashon Screamon All Fall Down but was never released. Only two became known from it. Dancing Bear is one.
@@kentduryea1741 Bing even anounced the original album title "Crash on...."the one with Jill's participation in the recordings. Also in 0:05 i'm sure that was Jill's figure in the shadow.Very charachteristic pose different to Michelle's.But then they scrapped it and did it again with Mich after she came back.Michelle's figure is visibly different, slightly shorter and way of sitting different too. Both Jill/Michelle had etherial soprano colours.Blended fine with Cass's contralto pipes.
@@kentduryea1741 btw if i remember well i' must have read that the 'Crash On ..." vynil was advertised and kinda distributed to some places ( radio stations i guess) for a very small number of copies but immediately went off due to Michelle's come back and then got out again with the title ' the Mamas and the papas" as we know it.Those very few vynils are super rarities featuring Jill on the album's cover and backwards.Google icons feature the vynil's cover.
Of course they are. There was a real generation gap in the 1960's. Anyone 35 or over in that audience grew up in a time before rock and roll even existed so even though they might not have been any older then in their 40's this kind of music was not around when they were teenagers.
I don't think so, that's Michelle. Don't forget - they fired her, got Jill Gibson, recorded the 2nd album and then re-tooled everything after they re-hired Michelle. This appearance would have been after Michelle came back, but before they changed the title of the album.

Cass follows the music, the rythm and the beat. Her joy is contagious.❤️
Such mournful melancholy beautiful "the dancing bear"... haunting.....

Michelle, a stunning beauty, which help in the over-all aura of the group

Bayer does indeed work wonders
Bing and the kids! WOW!
But you've gotta... Make your own kind of music... Sing your own special songggg
Name of the firs song?
Dancing Bear 🐻🐻
Jeez. So the mamas and papas were playing to the milk of magnesia and Bayer audience. Tough crowd.
😂🎯
what the hell HAHAHA the audience was a bunch of stodgy old people
like they would care about the mamas and papas music

Makes sense that there’s a commercial for a laxative immediately afterward
11/12/2020,friday, BRAZIL ✌👏👍
That school teacher in the commercial would have beat the crap out of that kid. No asprin needed.
Bing basicly confirmed it thats not Michelle

This song was recorded when the re hired Michelle, ( Dancing in the Streets). This is Michele, but Dancing Bear is Jill Gibson.
@@SteveChapman1204 imo Jill deffinately though we'll never know if Michelle's vocal's were also used here.Maybe they are all 5.Still beautiful.
Do you think Hulk Hogan could have body slamed Mama Cass? Wrestlemani III, he got Andre up, I think Mama would have been harder.
